Did you shoot any of the wavering Grass with slow shutter speeds?
leica and yashica so different in the looks – do you have a preference?
Bro, your long format videos are amazing. Your sense of humor is fairly similar to my own. I love weird American road trips. I don’t live in the US, so seeing the "Mid West" and the internal of the US is amazing to me. Here in Australia, we don’t have vast expanses of abandoned inland towns. Most of the inland of Australia remains unsettled by anything other than remote indigenous communities, farmers, and mining corporations because it’s basically all desert. There is no inland water system that runs above ground in Australia making widespread settlement impossible. So these videos about road trips through America’s inland really entertain me.
Your long format videos have a really good story telling format also.
What is this tripod they use, i really fuckn need it
What film did you use for night photography?
I like your photos but i think they do lack a bit of foreground to take your compositions to the next level
Video is awesome♥️♥️♥️
Wow so much decaying landscape, it reminds me of Simon Stalenhags work. And that little Yashica is baller.
Great video and great photos.
I liked the Ektar in the sun. Gives me old time California-esque vibes.
The thing about a hour and a half grainydays video is that it is like that family sized pizza you order for yourself. It can last for days and you can keep coming back for more.
2020s abandoned dose not mean abandoned.
I didn’t realize this was 1.5 hours until 30 mins into the video. Today is a good day!
whats he holding at 1:30:33
How long did u exsposed for in night shooting?
Melancholic beautiful land but so depressing Mid America.
Straight fuego video my dude
Awesome photography 👍👍👍👍
i totally see what you mean by the Hopper photo, really has that vibe. great video!
That was great … really enjoyed it..
Would you mind to put some lens info under the images along with the shutter sound ? Wait… I know the answer 🤣
We neeeeddd a toilet zine!!!!
Such Amazing Photography here…wow…wow…wow…
This is my third time watching this ✨
I don’t have much of an eye for things that photographers look for, but every time you say, "XXX was the wrong choice (often Ektar)", I really like the photo you show next.
Go figure
didn’t even realize it was an hour and half video until like 40 minutes into it
How long did it take to upload this?
36:50 probably the best shot in here until this point
Why do we love abandoned stuff so much?
Man, that Retrochrome reminds me of the original Polaroid SX-70 film, my favorite of all time. It makes things look more like a photo realism painting. Just discovered this channel. Love it! Best dry humor in photography. Cheers
nearly every photo on here would make a great midwest emo album cover
I have had only one camera buddy back in the 80s good times.
RIP Jim
Intro was next level
This looked like a really cool trip! I have been thinking about doing a partial Route 66 photo trip myself for a few years. I live in Springfield, MO, the Birthplace of ORute 66! You covered several of the places I wanto go to in Oklahoma, like Pop’s, and the big blue whale. I am curious, what’s the name/location of the tunnel like area in Oklahoma City with the cool neon lights?
And I really do like your longer travel videos! I wouldn’t mind if you posted more of them!
Oh, and I think I would follow Baxter to the ends of the Earth. Baxter for Emperor!!
Why so much hate for the ektar around 1:10:00?
I can’t stop laughing 20:00 hahaha
My uncle has many film cameras. He would shoot it during gatherings pretending there is a film in it. I think it is a good way of saving money when you want to use your gear but really not inspired to create images.
My dude, amazing. How about a patreon or some nonsense like that with different potential trips listed, mapped, and priced out that viewers can give to and when they reach the proper number it pays for your trip and time? Just a thought. I loved that video, thanks for all the hard work.
Among the greatest videos on YouTube, considering punching myself in the brain to forget I watched it only to be able to do it again… and for some reason I have that ABBA song "My Mamiya" stuck in my head?! Weird.
what is that grid pattern at 1:29:18?
jason, you magnificent bastard. bold move wearing capri pants in oklahoma.
Wait what is this a movie ?
Sucks
Video is 5 months old, and I feel it doesn’t have enough likes. Also also. This inspires me not to give up on color film. And learn to develop and print it.
17:51 looks like the town Children of The Corn was filmed in
You landed in Missouri, not Kansas.
everyone needs friends like these to travel with!
i think the ektar in middle of day was cool
this grainydays fella grown on me a bit… didn’t really like him at first, but damn, this video is pretty great.
On the flight how did you security your cameras and film rolls
