Did you shoot any of the wavering Grass with slow shutter speeds?

  2. Russell Allan on April 3, 2022 at 6:27 pm

leica and yashica so different in the looks – do you have a preference?

  3. Kronos on April 3, 2022 at 6:27 pm

Bro, your long format videos are amazing. Your sense of humor is fairly similar to my own. I love weird American road trips. I don’t live in the US, so seeing the "Mid West" and the internal of the US is amazing to me. Here in Australia, we don’t have vast expanses of abandoned inland towns. Most of the inland of Australia remains unsettled by anything other than remote indigenous communities, farmers, and mining corporations because it’s basically all desert. There is no inland water system that runs above ground in Australia making widespread settlement impossible. So these videos about road trips through America’s inland really entertain me.

Your long format videos have a really good story telling format also.

  5. Franco on April 3, 2022 at 6:32 pm

  6. Luc Negri on April 3, 2022 at 6:35 pm

I like your photos but i think they do lack a bit of foreground to take your compositions to the next level

  7. keyboardrunner on April 3, 2022 at 6:36 pm

    Video is awesome♥️♥️♥️

  8. DILF on April 3, 2022 at 6:38 pm

Wow so much decaying landscape, it reminds me of Simon Stalenhags work. And that little Yashica is baller.

  9. Mister Yog on April 3, 2022 at 6:39 pm

    Great video and great photos.

  10. Christopher C on April 3, 2022 at 6:40 pm

I liked the Ektar in the sun. Gives me old time California-esque vibes.

  11. Poorhibby on April 3, 2022 at 6:40 pm

The thing about a hour and a half grainydays video is that it is like that family sized pizza you order for yourself. It can last for days and you can keep coming back for more.

  12. Jerry Richards on April 3, 2022 at 6:41 pm

2020s abandoned dose not mean abandoned.

  13. Espressomo on April 3, 2022 at 6:42 pm

I didn’t realize this was 1.5 hours until 30 mins into the video. Today is a good day!

  25. Dave Westner on April 3, 2022 at 6:57 pm

I don’t have much of an eye for things that photographers look for, but every time you say, "XXX was the wrong choice (often Ektar)", I really like the photo you show next.
    Go figure

  26. Daniel Rios on April 3, 2022 at 6:58 pm

didn’t even realize it was an hour and half video until like 40 minutes into it

  27. Aaron May on April 3, 2022 at 6:59 pm

  29. Curtis Miller on April 3, 2022 at 7:01 pm

Why do we love abandoned stuff so much?

  30. Ron Morey on April 3, 2022 at 7:02 pm

Man, that Retrochrome reminds me of the original Polaroid SX-70 film, my favorite of all time. It makes things look more like a photo realism painting. Just discovered this channel. Love it! Best dry humor in photography. Cheers

  31. goon on April 3, 2022 at 7:03 pm

nearly every photo on here would make a great midwest emo album cover

  32. Jerry Richards on April 3, 2022 at 7:04 pm

I have had only one camera buddy back in the 80s good times.
    RIP Jim

  34. MacPhotoGuy79 on April 3, 2022 at 7:06 pm

This looked like a really cool trip! I have been thinking about doing a partial Route 66 photo trip myself for a few years. I live in Springfield, MO, the Birthplace of ORute 66! You covered several of the places I wanto go to in Oklahoma, like Pop’s, and the big blue whale. I am curious, what’s the name/location of the tunnel like area in Oklahoma City with the cool neon lights?

And I really do like your longer travel videos! I wouldn’t mind if you posted more of them!

Oh, and I think I would follow Baxter to the ends of the Earth. Baxter for Emperor!!

  35. Celie Davison on April 3, 2022 at 7:06 pm

Why so much hate for the ektar around 1:10:00?

  36. Ellin Zhao on April 3, 2022 at 7:07 pm

    I can’t stop laughing 20:00 hahaha

  37. kathreen mirate on April 3, 2022 at 7:09 pm

My uncle has many film cameras. He would shoot it during gatherings pretending there is a film in it. I think it is a good way of saving money when you want to use your gear but really not inspired to create images.

  38. Mark Visser on April 3, 2022 at 7:09 pm

My dude, amazing. How about a patreon or some nonsense like that with different potential trips listed, mapped, and priced out that viewers can give to and when they reach the proper number it pays for your trip and time? Just a thought. I loved that video, thanks for all the hard work.

  39. Fodson Media on April 3, 2022 at 7:12 pm

Among the greatest videos on YouTube, considering punching myself in the brain to forget I watched it only to be able to do it again… and for some reason I have that ABBA song "My Mamiya" stuck in my head?! Weird.

  40. Scheier Yannick on April 3, 2022 at 7:16 pm

what is that grid pattern at 1:29:18?

  41. Dave Pulte on April 3, 2022 at 7:17 pm

    Sucks

  44. Victor Guillen on April 3, 2022 at 7:18 pm

Video is 5 months old, and I feel it doesn’t have enough likes. Also also. This inspires me not to give up on color film. And learn to develop and print it.

  45. Jared Singleton on April 3, 2022 at 7:19 pm

17:51 looks like the town Children of The Corn was filmed in

  46. perezident14 on April 3, 2022 at 7:19 pm

You landed in Missouri, not Kansas.

  47. Modern Rogue on April 3, 2022 at 7:20 pm
