10 Places in Washington You Should NEVER Move To

10 Places in Washington You Should NEVER Move To

Move to these places and you’re gonna regret it big time!

Washington. When you think of the Evergreen State you probably think about mountains, Starbucks and a whole lot of rain…right? And, while there are a lot of opportunities here in Washington – home to both Amazon and Microsoft headquarters – and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking, there are also a lot of places to steer clear from. The places you don’t want to live…

We’ve looked at a wide range of data, including crime rates, unemployment rates, poverty, education and more. Plus, we took into account YOUR opinion – that’s right – you Washingtonians have a lot to say about which places in your states are great and which are not so great. And, while Washington State is home to Bob Barker…he’s not saying come on down to these 10 places. Let’s begin, shall we?

Centralia was actually really nice 30 years ago before the coal mine got shut down and layoffs at the coal plant over and over again over the years

Tukwila has high crime, but the highly diverse high school makes up for that! At least per the video.

  4. Lotsof Love on March 10, 2023 at 9:35 am

Washington is riddled with drug and alcohol abuse. Let’s not forget the suicide rates because you NEVER see the sun there. I was born and raised there. It is a terrible place.

It’s funny to hear Union Gap distinguished from Yakima. I grew up in Yakima and have always just thought of them as the same place. UG’s saving grace is that it’s easier for business to exist there. Yakima has driven all the big business out of town (except Wal Mart). UG has Cabelas, Costco, Lowes/Home Depot, a mall, and other stores that make Yakima modern.

Surprised olympia is not on this list as this town is now a crime ridden slum.

The state has gone to hell in a handbasket. I have been here for 50 years, so I can tell you exactly what the problems are. Happy to do a podcast and talk about all things Wa$h!Ton.
Seattle is SAD. Once it was the Emerald City. Spokane, Yakima etc Where does one begin?

Seattle totally sucks especially the people —they’re boring, nasty, way too woke, and snobby

  26. Buffy on March 10, 2023 at 10:07 am

YELM WASHINGTON…..there’s a huge refugee camp out there. Free housing, $1,400 a month of tax payer money etc, etc, etc.

  27. Paleo Home on March 10, 2023 at 10:07 am

Man I would just be broken hearted if my home was shown in this video. I grew up very poor and started my adulthood very poor. Now we are a successful family. However we were always clean and had a nice small home. NO dugs/crime. Such a terrible thing to assume people with smaller means are criminals. I certainly know quite a few drug addicts that are in a higher social class.

i remember living in tacoma and i was on my way to my friends house using the train tracks and 3 homeless people started chasing me idk how i outran them since i was only 10💀

  30. Mark Anderson on March 10, 2023 at 10:09 am

You called Seattle right. I’m born and raised and lived there for 68 years before I left. Wouldn’t go back there on a dare.

  31. Dave Diaz on March 10, 2023 at 10:10 am

I grew up in Tacoma. It was a good place in the 1970s to be a kid. I lived in Spokane for 4 years, had my garage robbed twice, my vehicle broken into, my work had numerous vehicle damages, drilled gas tanks, all 4 tires stolen. I live in Yakima and drive through union gap to get to work, have witnessed homeless people pooping facing traffic on the side of the road with not a care in the world. I am kinda stuck here for a few more years.

  32. levitating octahedron on March 10, 2023 at 10:11 am

I’ve lived in seattle, spokane, and bellingham. ten years ago seattle was alright and I heard it was even better before that. it’s awful now. bellingham is complete crap, it’s a city built for 15,000 people with 90,000 people crammed into it. I can’t stand it there. spokane is probably the best of the three if you stay out of it, it’s surrounded by a ring of safe suburbs and infrastructure.
this state is a great one to live rural in and that’s what I prefer to all of these cities.

  33. Buffy on March 10, 2023 at 10:12 am

💯about Seattle. It’s the results in our corrupt state government. Jay Insley, Jenny Derkin etc. Fucking Liberals and corrupt politicians.

  34. Lisa W on March 10, 2023 at 10:12 am

Wow. Sorry I can’t agree with the view of Tacoma. I’ve lived and worked there for 25 years. Like every city it has problems. Please show me a city with bad areas! There isn’t one. But it’s safe to shop and work in, there are some great parks and it’s very busy with people doing productive things. The other places like Shelton, Aberdeen, Chehalis/Centralia are suffering because progress has passed them by. Just what you’d expect from depressed areas.

It’s unfortunate when crime is allowed to succeed but that seems to be happening all over this country and many of the wealthiest people are just as guilty as the gangs.

  35. Jeremy Caudill on March 10, 2023 at 10:12 am

So Spokane is the 5th ranked city for crime in the state? Is that per capita? Or is it because it’s one of the few major cities in the state?
Just seems like being 5th in a state with not a lot of major cities really isn’t that bad.

  36. Heather Carpenter on March 10, 2023 at 10:14 am

Olympia used to be fantastic but now I don’t even recognize it. It’s changed so much in such a short time. The 90s were magical! It was a Mecca, everyone wanted to come here. We had so much music and creativity. Everyone was interested in art and we had free walls in downtown with tons of beautiful murals and paintings. Now it’s just severe drug addiction and depravity. Murders used to be so unheard-of and now it happens all the time.

  37. Raul Vergara on March 10, 2023 at 10:15 am

Ngl, I was defensive at first, but I completely agree.I lived in in Seattle, and they broke into our apartment complex and stole an insane amount of my stuff and absolutely nothing got done about it. I’m originally from Bellevue, which is a sister city to Seattle, and I will always prefer it after that experience.

  38. arwen stepak on March 10, 2023 at 10:16 am

    Spokane is terrible…

  39. irongav on March 10, 2023 at 10:17 am

Lived near Aberdeen my whole life, can absolutely say that many parts of the city are just hellholes

  40. levitating octahedron on March 10, 2023 at 10:18 am

6:10 sounds like hell not being able to communicate with the majority of people you encounter. don’t know why people randomly defend it. diversity is the consistent part of most of the cities in this video.

  41. Jules James on March 10, 2023 at 10:20 am

Seattle deserves to be #1 simply because it has so much positive to offer but has covered it in "progressive" politics promoting transient lifestyles, ignoring the crime, despair and drugs that are inseparable with living under the proverbial bridge. Aberdeen is our natural #1: nothing to do, way too much rain, little good architecture, less cultural amenities and too far away from any city with any degree of pizzazz.

  42. Mark Elam on March 10, 2023 at 10:20 am

I thought Seattle would be the number 1 place not to go in Washington…

  43. Cal on March 10, 2023 at 10:20 am

Almost everyone that lives in Aberdeen either works for fast food or fishing

  44. Kathleen Young on March 10, 2023 at 10:22 am

We lived in Bellevue for 2 nightmare filled years.

  45. komomono on March 10, 2023 at 10:24 am

Tukwila is a crime-ridden s*** hole but has a racially diverse High School,🤔

  46. john wick on March 10, 2023 at 10:25 am

The Raineer Valley has gunfire every night of the week.. MUch more on weekends. Killings of corner drug dealers happen quite often but the murders are kept from the public to dispel stereotypes of black criminality and violence. I watched it for three years untill the GD tried to kill me with a bat. Now I live in the white community with $173,000 worth of steel plates in my skull.

  47. Lotsof Love on March 10, 2023 at 10:26 am

The Californians were flocking to WA for years and no offence… but anywhere Californians flock to… gets destroyed. Money is their God. They ruin everywhere they go because they are without God and have no morals… they just worship money and destroy everywhere they flock to.

  48. Retief Gregorovich on March 10, 2023 at 10:27 am

I had to go to Seattle last year to pick up a friend in Uwajimaya’s. Wasn’t in Seatlle more than 10 minutes before a crazy dude with a big backpack slowly walked by screaming something like "Seattle is f’kd, it’s all the White Man’s fault" over and over. Big dude. Scary dude. Angry dude. But he kept on walking. We picked my friend up and got back on the freeway. See no reason to ever return to Seattle.
