My hubby and I traveled in our little camper full-time in Europe from April 2018 to March 2020 (yes start of covid). As much I we loved it – the life isn’t t for everyone. We’re moving our residency from Germany to Portugal and plan to get back on the road part-time soon. No words for filing taxes in the US and in Germany :(((((
Your windows are tinted? Cause it looks like that guy can def see you 😂
"Oh so you want to travel and see the world"
No my home town is getting expensive af, my college said "this Diploma will get you a job" but I’ve been begging for a job for the past year, and I know that if I stay at home for a year longer I’ll go completely insane
Basically it’s either get lucky in the next 8 months or go homeless on my own terms
This was one of the best videos I’ve seen regarding van life. I also gotta admit I kept watching because your van is super cute. But you highlighted some real sacrifices that come with a nomadic lifestyle and only a few people get to even attempt to do it. You have a great eye for directing and editing and that’s something that deserves merit all its own. Cheers to you and your adventures.
You like a princess that cant’sleep on a pea through 10 matresses!!! Why not sleep 2 degrees upside down? it sound be fine any way round until some wheels are 10 inches different??? I am interested in slopes now. fabulous advice cheers.
You own more stuff than I do and I have a home.
Thanks for giving such a refreshing real life view of van life. It is really helpful to know the difficulties, and how to manage the daily grind. It’s not aways the bed of roses that may van lifers make it out be. I find that here in South Africa there are little to no facilities for the van life and one is completely dependent on tourist campsites, which I think don’t really exist in major cities that are not tourist attractions/tourist destinations. But I have not really tied the van life so I don’t really know…. I am in the process of setting up a tiny home community in Midrand Johannesburg & I will offer safe parking and facilities for camper vans. I love following your awesome videos and offering you encouragement as support where ever I can. I hope to be there for you when ever you are feeling down or lonely. Keep up the good work and thank you for an insight into your beautiful life. U are amazing… ❤️
I’m doing the van life thing out of necessity. Thanks for keeping it real Christian. I get lonely and depressed a lot but a good workout at PF helps a lot. 4 years and no knocks? That takes a lot of skill.
Life can be quite tiring in a van. Not so cheap at times too.
Some days are spent solving problems that are fixed at home in 30 mins.
I enjoyed 6 months travel, then got invited to caretake at a model airplane field that had facilities.
I was there many months, learned to fly models I really enjoyed, then moved from the big city to that town
1,400 km from my previous life! Still here 20 years later.
Find that spot to park up, where you can meet people, contribute a bit and find opportunities.
A farm may be a very smart choice the way things are going..
Everything has its advantage and disadvantages. The thing I like most living in a van is RENT FREE. And you don’t have to deal with bad neighbors if you don’t like them just pack up and go. Just make sure you have a gun to protect yourself from crazy intruder.
Wow! How much time does it take to produce such great content? I mean filming, cutting etc?
most funniest part is 00:01
I think having a homebase piece of land or a little cabin somewhere while doing this will be reallly nice. I still want somewhere to get mail and hang out awhile see family etc.
You are drop dead gorgeous! Just sayin!
Full turkey food yum
Great info, thank you !

I tried doing the car thing. It sucked. I can see a van being much better especially the way you have it where it’s much more comfortable and more thought out. Except I was in the city and if I went in the mountains I didn’t go very far from the city because I was going to work everyday. A lot of anxiety. A lot of anxiety it’s very hard to sleep. It’s much easier to sleep in a solid building where nothing can get you in your sleep. And I got pulled over once I didn’t know what the speed limit was I was going 55 come to find out it was 35 and then it turned 55 like right after where I got pulled over. So it didn’t seem like much of a difference. No ticket or anything.
I kept feeling like I was going to wake up and there would be someone staring at me through the window. Not in the Curious way though. Then that sort of happened. Haha worse. Don’t ask. My friend bought a camper and he lives in that. It actually feels much more secure in a camper than a car.
May God keep you safe.
Im not proud of it but I still officially live at my parents, and they receive my mails and shippings, so Im a nomad with 3-6 months cycles. It helps me also to sleep in a real bed few nights per year, and in return I maintenance their hourse. That’s my way to stay "connected" to the society. Im a piano technician and I offer my services in workshops all over Europe.
1. You live in a van.
2. You drive a van.
Hi maybe van life sucks for some reasons and is great for others, but normal life as well, reason why so many want to go on the road. But yeah it’s good to be informed upfront about the annoying aspects of van life! One thing that has no price : feeling of freedom and beauty of nature. 2 aspects that living in society doesn’t offer.
Thanks 😊
Thank you, I valued this video, it’s realistic and after watching your video I don’t think I can do this 😬
Buy a shitkicker and eat ramen and tuna thts van life
💙
I just love watching the way people create space in their van/bus,
But I myself would never see myself living this life in the future.
I still prefer living inside an apartment building…
Yes it might be expensive, but you mostly don’t need to worry about electricity problem or water problem, or wifi problem, cause the apartment manager would take care of it.
This was awesome!! I have been thinking of more minimal life and i thought about van-life. Watching your video you answered every single question.
This helped me realize I don’t need van life. Car life or suv life will work fine for me. Too many extra expenses.
Have you considered trading in for a motorhome with a bathroom/ shower? Maybe a extended size so you won’t feel cramped? I’m shopping for one right now. I also use a digital mailbox that also doubles as a voicemail box. I keep a storage unit in my home state and I stockpile non perishable food and jugs of water… that’s a holdover from when I was homeless for a year. Just a few tips…loved the video.
Keep plenty of baby wipes 🧻 🤣
I want semi van life only…😁
I”m an introvert and am not fond of answering repeated questions by random spectators…
Another dummy that just wants attention. You don’t look like the type of person that would hack it anyways. There’s no spas on the road.
Thank you so much for this video. Was planning on retiring and just heading out, but because of your amazing inside. I feel that we need to keep our home base. But still head out and have fun…
Full turkey food whoa
You should consider self levelling suspension for your van. Its extremly common for caravans as it will level the vehicle at the flick of a switch.
where is wc
8:35 that has to be the most fake typing I have ever seen 😀 😀
I loved this video! I also want to compliment your speech! There were no filler words like “like” or “um” and made the video seem more professional and seamless. #speechgoals
Not for me but good luck gurl! 😇
Food turkey whoa wow whoa how. Food what?!
Id put $5 tour per person sign lol
make some cash.
lol I live in a house and yet I don’t go outside. I guess van life is not for you.
I did not get the bottle and the sleeping position. Can you explain that I’m interested.
I’ve lived in my SUV for over a year now, and lived in a tent and a Hyundai Accent before this. I love this video! It’s so accurate.
I also… https://youtu.be/aoUJfB2cF_c
Fantastic vid!! Thank you
Half the problems are from having a shitty small can set up
I’d just call it life, shit happens. ✌❤
Definitely some pros and cons.
Not all good, not all bad
