Just finished ours and it came out amazing!!! Only advice I can give before you start is to use 2 1/2โ€ screws instead of the 2โ€ ones, not much to grab onto

I have no creative bones in my body and I love your videos I love that I can do something so simple and I don’t have to ask my husband I don’t have to be a carpenter. Keep doing these types of videos they’re wonderful, but then again everything you do is wonderful.

    Love this!

  8. Joy B on February 10, 2023 at 5:16 am

I hope my ladder looks good. I applied the waverly wax with a sponge. I donโ€™t see any excess wax. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

  9. Sean F on February 10, 2023 at 5:16 am

Hi, I appreciate the idea but your wood screw sizes are wrong. You’ll need 2 1/2 inch wood screws. The 2 inch screws you recommended aren’t long enough to make a secure hold — remember you are using 2×2 furring strips.

  10. Teresa on February 10, 2023 at 5:16 am

Ty! I just watched another tutorial and it was way too much work. This is so easy. I recently bought a black wood one from a lady on fb marketplace. Iโ€™ve been wanting another one so now I can make one. ๐Ÿ˜

Do u have plants? I want to hang a ladder to hand my plants on it but cannot find one for less than $200. Is there something to use to make the rungs out of the round wood?

  12. katie beantown on February 10, 2023 at 5:20 am

Got my materials and canโ€™t wait to start!!

  13. coda creator on February 10, 2023 at 5:22 am

OK. My vision is admittedly not what it used to be. So, I thought that exclamation mark in the thumbnail was a 1 and almost slipped the video. What good is a $100 blanket ladder for under $91? ๐Ÿ˜

  14. Idaho Mando on February 10, 2023 at 5:22 am

Those are screws, not nails, and the level in this situation doesnโ€™t help you. You would want to use a carpenterโ€™s square to make sure the rungs are perpendicular to the rails.

Help me understand are they blankets for decor only? Or are people actually using them!
I have some old vintage quilts I could put on there.

I appreciate how you always have your children with you and how you can still do so much while keeping them busy, playing with them, teaching them, checking on them, and including them in anything that you are doing! It shows the Real side to being a stay at home mom and the reality of how kids should be involved in helping out. So many you tubers moms have a whole video on cleaning, cooking, decorating, getting ready and working out while their kids where never even around! There is No way that a pregnant mother with 3 kids under 3 or 4 could get all that done and not have them hanging on her or wanting to be involved!! My 3kids all want to feel involved and always love helping me decorate or just do household duties! Especially when I was pregnant!! Lol!!! You show us how to trully do everything and still be a MOMMY to them!! My babies come first, always ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ’“ โค ๐Ÿ’• ๐Ÿ’– ๐Ÿ’—

  28. Madeline Janeski on February 10, 2023 at 5:33 am

Did you use a pre stain conditioner before staining the wood? I made my ladder and LOVE IT. Super easy first time wood project. But… Iโ€™m so nervous Iโ€™m going to totally ruin it by trying to stain the wood.

  29. Melanie Watt on February 10, 2023 at 5:34 am

On yours (the grey one) did you finish it with polyurethane too?

  30. Lila on February 10, 2023 at 5:39 am

I love this video, but with inflation today this would be a lot more than $9 to make.

I added up the items on Home Depotโ€™s website.

    Wood: $7.10
    Nails (if you donโ€™t have a drill – I donโ€™t): $4.50
    Wood glue: $3.47
    Stain: $8.98
    Small brush for staining: $1.57
Clear coat/shellac spray (if you donโ€™t want the stain to get all over your blankets): $11.38

    Total: $37

I am not counting a hammer because many people already have that, but that would be about $10-20 more.
You will also need either a tarp, or some cardboard/plastic as a work surface.
You may also need some felt to put on the end to keep it from scratching up your wall.

Just wanted to let people know, because if you can find a ladder for under $40 youโ€™d be better off buying one!

  41. Linda Autry on February 10, 2023 at 5:54 am

I love how you explained every step , I’m a visual learner ๐Ÿ˜‰โคโคโค

  42. Emily Carter on February 10, 2023 at 5:55 am

Would the ladder hold up the same if you were to use wood glue instead of screw?

  43. Tracy Wheeler on February 10, 2023 at 5:56 am

    Both Fantastic !!

  44. Toni Castillo on February 10, 2023 at 5:57 am

Do you angle the bottom ends?

  45. C Dial on February 10, 2023 at 5:59 am

Fun tutorial, but those are screws – not nails. Just sayin’. I agree with Home Depot vs. Lowes for quality, but the biggest seller for me is Home Depot’s customer service. They are much more attentive.

  46. Mary Alex on February 10, 2023 at 6:01 am

This is so cute I love it

  47. Midnight_Silent_Eyes on February 10, 2023 at 6:03 am

  48. Toni MT on February 10, 2023 at 6:04 am

Do you think this would be sturdy enough to be a hanging drying rack for the laundry room?

  49. Rebecca Foster on February 10, 2023 at 6:04 am

Perfect….I have been looking for one of these ladders up here in the Mountains and can’t find any…This ladder is great…thank you !!
