Camping in Yellowstone is a dream of many but if you aren’t prepared and know how to procure your campsite, your dream will probably not be realized.

Yellowstone National Park operates 12 campground and 293 backcountry campsites. This video is all about the 12 campgrounds. Another video will focus on the backcountry campsites. Don’t forget, there are other campgrounds outside of the park with easy access, so if you’re unable to reserve a campground IN Yellowstone, you might be able to get one on the edge of the park.

The 12 campgrounds include: Bridge Bay Campground, Canyon Campground, Fishing Bridge RV Park, Grant Village Campground, Indian Creek Campground, Lewis Lake Campground, Madison Campground, Mammoth Campground, Norris Campground, Pebble Creek Campground, Slough Creek Campground and Tower Fall Campground.

    Camping sites are hard hard hard to find here. Don’t go without a reservation – seriously! The same is true in Grand Teton. There is back country camping also but you should reserve those too. Great video btw
