Good Morning Nomad – thanks for showing up – again . I was up at 430 AM. I am getting ready to show lol
Yes I appreciate this good counsel you have given. When making these big life decisions : Count the cost, Then I say also count conversely as in if you don’t do what will be the result. ? Mainly your point is good this morning : Think before you act on anything.
Have a fantastic day – on purpose
A minivan is 60k my dad bought a suv for 110k. A custom chevy van cost 90k. The class b rv seams like a bargain
What about parking at a campground?
Finally!!! A realist weighing in on the subject.
Sammy I give you 3 or more …$..cost expensive when is new and you need to finance long term with hi interest rate and huge downpayment..#2 Very hard to get approved…#3 where you going to park it?…#4 Cost of gas…#5 Cost of maintenance? Can you handle mechanical stuff? Or you have to pay?…#6..Do you have stable job and your neighborhood is friendly? Is not going to get vandalized when you are at work?…Guys Better to go back to your rental and deal with that..! This lifestyle is not for everyone…You really have to like it..! And financially very stable..
Sammy Up Date .!!! Cold here Florida 62F…Nice weather anyways..!! Yeah interest very high right now you have to have a very good credit score and give a big down payment…If you buy used(under warranty)2015 and up you may get the finance for 7 yrs..Brand New is too much very costly no bueno ..!! We buying lithium (batteries bank )so we can run less the generators …you said something about the rent here is about average $1600 to $1,800 x by 3.(1st mo..2nd and security)..mucho expensive!!! My best advice is start low car,van..if you like it? Go ahead! Do not buy and class B and then you start having parking problems..safety is your #1.. priority…!
Best video!!
what do you recommend? which class is better or worse? Class B sounds real nice because you can travel in the city and such basically anywhere but with me I wont be traveling as much just work and ”RV Life”
Thanks!
Best advice I’ve heard about van life!
Good morning Sam!!
Very Passionate and Inspiring
“Sit down and shut up” got me. I had to rewind the video from laughing.
Thanks for trying to educate the delusional. 👍
Thank you for this explanation. I’ve explained this in my videos but it’s all over in every video 🤣 I’m getting better. Happy Travels
this guy really tells you the truth
think hard before buying a class b
Great information! Class B’s are pretty, but maybe not so practical.
Great video.!!! Was looking at a class B myself, but the cost is a real downside. $80,000 to $100,000 can be almost 50% of a house.
You do speak very disrespectful that is why I never listened to you
Once long discussion with my buddy, I explained him these three reasons. But he was telling me about that adventure he will explore in Canada. But after 6 months doing his own homework on weather buy rv or not. He agreed with me and told me that it’s better to rent one instead of owning a elephant. Thanks you are showing the real face of rving. This life is not for me at least.
Good morning Sam, I seem to keep missing your live feeds at night. Hope all is well my friend
real talk my friend… Thanks
Bro is just spitting fact after fact
You are correct. Even God doesn’t give anyone money. ……..by the sweat of your brow shall you earn your bread……..
here in upstate NY they range between 140K – 225K as far as I can tell by looking.
Preach, a lot of people can successfully sell their van when they are done but van life is expensive especially with gas prices
The "Stern Teacher" Sam. 💯👍🏾
Good use of the whiteboard Sam!! Few words but to the point and easily remembered. Thanks again!!
I was once thinking about a Class B and all of this made so much sense and you made valid points. Thanks for sharing! 🖤
Good points 💯 I guess it depends on each scenario. The reason why I still love ✨️my Roadtrek Zion Class B is because I bought it used right BEFORE the pandemic + I paid waaay less. Plus, its my everyday driver and the only place I can’t park it is in a parking garage.
Thanks so much. You share the sharpest most helpful information. Straight from the heart.
This made a lot of sense, 80k is alot of money. I might as well by a home.
Great video. 👍.
I’m glad you’re very candid about this particular lifestyle & not sugarcoating things i cant stand the romanticized nomad videos with the (this is our kitchen an cute little season cabinet) commentary 🤮.
Good thinking!
Wow. Was thisclose to making $100,000 mistake. Thanks.
Amen
Ty Sam very good lessons
Now that’s what I call a reality check. Thank you for sharing your perspective, It really gives me a lot to think about. ✌🏾
Great points. As someone strongly considering a Class B, I appreciate this video.
The only problem with that lifestyle is people getting into that can’t afford it. The first thing they see is "oh I don’t have to pay rent anymore". If you have a decent income you’ll be fine. There’s plenty of free land to park on forever all over this country. Another problem with the lifestyle is people keep driving all over the place constantly buying gas and wearing out the rig. The whole idea is to park somewhere and stay there for awhile not moving everyday. These people parking in business parking lots and things like that. I take my rig and to a state and park on BLM land for months free. When I want to move I find BLM land somewhere else and stay there for months. I don’t move more than three times a year. Before you get into this lifestyle you have decide if you can not be around people for extended periods of time. And if you want to be around people for a while you go to an RV park for a month. You defeat the purpose if you’re constantly driving around. You can save tons of money if you do this properly. And when the time comes and you want a new rig you’ll be prepared. I fill my gas tank and go park and don’t go to the gas station for weeks. He has some very good points but I think it applies to those constantly moving around. I don’t even put 3,000 miles a year on my rig. If I decide to go to an RV park for a bit I’ll do that and spend the money. I stayed at one for two months, it cost me $800. Then I go back to the solitude of free parking for months at time. The bottom line is: You will run out of money fast if you’re going to be driving all over the place every few days. I get a pension check and a SS check and one of them I don’t even touch and the other one I don’t spend half of it. Thanks for the insight. Nice video.
Your best video yet !!!!! I live in my Chevy cargo van goin on 3 months – it sucks !!!
This man is telling the truth
I ❤️ you for this! Thank you so much
