Found myself saying "Love that for you!" earlier today and immediately thought of Garrett. Here’s hoping I pick up his fabulous sense of interior design as easily as I do his fabulous quips.

    A very good Morning Garrett,

Quiet a refreshing episode, thank you!!
It gives idea of various permutations and combinations, as personally I would like to change the living room set up once in 2 years atleast😋
You have a wonderful week ahead..xx

Hi Garrett. Always nice to see your videos. A tip for those who dont know…and that you can mention to spread the word. Most modern TVs have the function to work as art pieces or open fire illusions. They are really nice and have decorative frames as well. That way the TV is the focal point but not a big boring black thing in the way. I have always joked to my friends that my TV is modern art. I mean if Yves Klein marine blue painting can be sold for 9 million, my Black monochromatic thing on the wall can be expensive art..hihi

My rectangle living room is right at the entrance (no space to create separate area for front entrance) of our standard 1960’s track home. Only our dog uses the living room for her exclusive hangout space and to see who is coming to our home. No room for table but do have sofa on one side and seating bench with never used piano (not my idea).

So happy to hear you talk about living rooms I have been struggling for quite some time with my layout I do agree with you I don’t like televisions being the center stage of a room especially a living room so I will take your advice and do the best I can with my living room And definitely find a corner for that television lol

    Happy Spring, All. ❤️🙏

I have one sofa and one matching chair, but one unmatched chair (in a small room). The unmatched chair does not to fit in visually. I will use the idea from your video to use the same throw/pillows on Both chairs. (thank you so much for that great idea,). Any other suggestions for that unmatched chair, so it blends in better with the sofa and other chair ?

Can you please please make a video of tv placement with windows!! I have a rectangular living/dining area with sliding glass doors in both sections and a chimney in between the sliding doors. I have trying to decide where to hang a tv and what size to buy?? Over the chimney, on the opposite wall of sliding glass doors? Then there’s glare, 😢… please please share your wisdom … for us clueless souls!!

  9. Wendy Kornfein on April 11, 2023 at 8:12 am

You validated my idea of my matching sofa and chair. Other designers seem to dislike matching furniture. Your video today, calmed me about this. Thanks!

*Combining "Leggy pieces with Grounded pieces* . Garrett, would love to see a video on the mix of leggy and grounded furniture pieces in different spaces. I currently have a good mix but I see spaces that lean to heavy one way or the other.

Not only do you look “Dapper” but I love your laugh and humour!…What an interesting topic today. Very important advice for everyone. We are not big TV watchers in this home. I would rather have a comfortable conversational space. When we move, I am hoping that we will have a finished basement where a TV setup can go, possibly with a sectional and round coffee table of course for entertaining guests who come to stay over…Thanks again Garrett, it’s always great to watch your videos 🤗❤️🇨🇦

Then u SAID “Half square “ 😂, I never knew it even had a term for it. Love your vids cuz I always learn something!

  15. Cee Hunka on April 11, 2023 at 8:21 am

So nice to find a LeChic video when I stopped for a break from cleaning. Also a great watch.

I had four boys and someone gave me a coffee table when I still had only two little boys. It lasted ONE whole day before one of them knocked his head pretty good. Finally, in my thirties, I was able to have a coffee table without worry. 😁✌

TV’s above fireplaces looks terrible. It can really bring down a room instead of elevating.

  22. Fatima Ö on April 11, 2023 at 8:26 am

Thank you for the great video!

My front door opens up right in the middle of my living room. It’s so awkward and I cannot stand it. I’m having the door moved soon and replacing the door opening w a window. It will make the room much bigger and create an entryway as well. Sometimes it takes a little construction to get it right but it’s worth it in the end!!

  25. Virginia LopezRey on April 11, 2023 at 8:31 am

Love the way you set up the artwork behind you.
I am becoming excited about moving so I can implement what I am learning from you!

  26. Londa Streeter on April 11, 2023 at 8:33 am

I didn’t see the link to the eye patches!

  27. Evelyn M on April 11, 2023 at 8:39 am

We have two "condo" couches at right angles to each other taking up two sides of a conversation square. Then there is a swivel, reclining chair on the third side but next to the couch not on the far corner of the square. Two condo couches still seat 3 people each but at 7ft long, they do not take up as much space as a regular 8ft sofa – love them.
The fourth side has the fireplace with TV above. I really dislike TVs beside a fireplace. Round coffee table in the middle (I have nailed my shins on too many rectangular or square ones to ever want those again), the square grouping is enter-able on the two sides by the fireplace wall with a walkway behind all three sides and most definitely a large rug, I think its 9×12.

Lovely video Garrett, who’s doing it like you! 🙂

  29. Teresa Halliday on April 11, 2023 at 8:47 am

We have a narrow living room with the fireplace at the end. We also have awkwardly placed doors in the room which we can’t move. I lost the TV over the mantle battle but am used to it now. Our couch is parallel to the fireplace and our two chairs are opposite the fireplace. Our living room isn’t very large so we don’t have a coffee table but have tables by all of the seating so people have a place to put drinks or anything else. A wonderfully informative video as usual. Thank you!

I have been waiting for this one!😅

  31. Denise Harrell on April 11, 2023 at 8:49 am

I’m getting a fireplace DVD so my tv is a more elwgant focal point. I live in an apartment!😊

  32. ElleBunn on April 11, 2023 at 8:51 am

I love love love my sectional and square coffee table. Understand the general appeal of the round though… we have a 9′ by 9′ couch that perfectly squares with our square table.
Love layout videos! Would love to see an entry or bedroom version.
