Thank you! Wishing you safe, happy travels always. How much does this lifestyle cost you per month on average – propane, campground fees, gas, water, food, all of it?

How come nobody talks about how they decide where they’re going and how they plan their stops could you do that. That is the main reason why I haven’t ventured out. Like I know I could say I want to go to Colorado how do you pick the places that you want to stop along the way?

  12. Emily Greene on March 19, 2023 at 9:31 am

We did the math and honestly, living in a vehicle or an RV doesn’t work for us. Too many problems with them and honestly we want to settle down and have an actual home with land. Be realistic and find what works best for you and your family and cut out the RV and unrealistic nonsense.

It’s not just inflation. The more people who RV, the more campgrounds fill up. It’s just BASIC supply and demand. When demand goes up, prices go up! Frankly, all you Youtubers who are promoting the full time RV life are one of the biggest reasons that campgrounds are full and prices are skyrocketing. You’re doing it to yourself.

  20. Gail You on March 19, 2023 at 9:45 am

As to ur stinky feet, wear WHITE socks. My husband always wore white socks we were going to a wedding or something I convinced him to wear black socks. When we got home he took off his shoes and it smelled as if a skunk sprayed and died
Soooo try white socks and put Backing soda in those sneakers.

  22. Mary James on March 19, 2023 at 9:48 am

When I was living in my van is was called being HOMELESS! and it was called that for a reason….the main reason people are leaving the romanticized life is because people are realizing it’s just that…a romanticized life!!! When I lived in my van I wasn’t some yuppy looking to find myself on the road or looking for adventure and other ways to have a life because I was so bored with all the money I was making and needed to spend it on a 75,000 rv! I was broke on food stamps using my gr check to get gas and hoping I could pull in somewhere they didn’t call the cops and loose my house along with having to pay a ticket I didn’t have the money for! So excuse me for not taking a bunch of bored yuppies too seriously or for not having to much compassion for the fact gas is high and you can’t get an RV spot…lol😂😂😂😂😂😂

  23. Sophia Martin on March 19, 2023 at 9:49 am

Awesome. Thank you. In about 10 years myself and my husband we’re going to buy an RV and travel because we will be retired.

  24. The Many Adventures of Patches on March 19, 2023 at 9:49 am

We are currently shopping around to get a smaller size motorhome (24-25 foot) so we can travel before we are not able to. My husband has CTE/FTD, which is progressive neurodegenerative brain syndromes in which he will lose more and more of his ability to travel. We won’t go full time as it would be too much for him, but we do want to do some long trips and come home to rest in-between. I appreciate this video. We do local camping in an old Roadtrek for the last couple of years and have done many trips over the years in which we tent camped. We love to travel and have seen the changes taking place in which costs are going up and campgrounds are full. Hoping to find some alternative type ways of staying on the road where we can find those quiet out of the way spaces, which are beneficial to him. Excited to find your channel!

  25. Citizens Global on March 19, 2023 at 9:50 am

A lot of these costs apply to sticks and bricks too – the cost of living has sky-rocketed, and house prices are still way up. In our experience the best way to mitigate costs is to camp off-grid as much as possible, travel slowly to absorb where you are and save on gas, and eat plant-based so that you can buy food cheaper and store food easily (think lentils and beans as protein). If you can, keep something (anything) in the property market while you full-time, so that you don’t get priced out when you return to real estate. Good luck folks!

im starting to think to live in a rv.

  27. Tribalism_is_Toxic on March 19, 2023 at 9:51 am

You all could act in 2023 commercials. You’re the perfect couple for tv today.

  28. Maine Mermaid on March 19, 2023 at 9:52 am

In our experience, the people driving those expensive 40 footers don’t think signage and rules apply to them. They’re for the "Common Folk." Luckily, the vast majority of people we met on the road were really nice. It’s a great life for couples and families. But, I’ve got to say that I don’t recommend it for young women, alone. It’s too darn dangerous, and facing that reality definitely contributes to why some quit the life. I’m a middle aged woman, and have met some aggressive pervs, drunks and weirdos while using public facilities, visiting truck stops, or running errands alone. Some young women even reveal where they’re headed and staying online, and make foolish decisions, like showering or sleeping outside alone, and that’s SO dangerous. (With youth comes a naivety that could have horrific or deadly consequences. And, given the number of women living like this now, I suspect that we’ll be hearing more about it in the news the coming years – unfortunately.)

  29. Ernest Wilson on March 19, 2023 at 9:52 am

You two should stay at home, especially those people living in those 40ft moble homes. Camp sites are for people who want to experience living outdoors.

  30. headdown1 on March 19, 2023 at 9:53 am

Do you do any boondocking? I have a solar powered 16x7x7 cargo trailer to RV conversion, and I boondock for 6 months every winter in the US southwest,. No fees, no neighbours, fantastic scenery and solitude. Compost toilet, a big Samsung 120 volt home fridge so I don’t feel like I am camping. On demand water heater and a 100 gallon fresh water tank in the bed of the truck means long hot showers without stressing over how much water is being used. No holding tanks, no dump stations. RVing from RV park to RV park looks like an expensive nightmare to me. But the great thing about RVing is that there are so many ways to enjoy it.

Currently full time rving since last year august, Im 19 & started because my mom passed n had to provide my own roof for my head so i got a travel trailer but might quit full time rving because of the availability of campgrounds i had a long term spot but they kicked me out because my rig wasn’t a 2013 or higher

i have dreamed of rving or even hitchhiking across the country, since i was a kid. i’m 59 years old. never had the money to do it. still don’t. it just has gotten a lot more expensive.

  34. Michael on March 19, 2023 at 9:57 am

$6.99 for a dozen eggs is expensive. Here is capital of canada price where i work dozen eggs are $3.89 & 4l bag of milk $5.89..What is stopping me is waiting for my truck to be paid off in may 2024. Hopefully prices by than will be normalized.

First time viewer of your videos. I must say great job! We travel a lot in our 5th wheel trailer in the summer but we would never consider living in it fulltime. Reasons we would never go fulltime Rv’ing. 1) We love camping and would never want to lose the thrill of going camping and enjoying our trailer as a get-a-way adventure 2) Our jobs 3) Costs associated with winter camping 4) Highway Traffic 5) Moving it all the time 6) Downsizing would be a really tough thing to do. Thanks again for your video.

We have been using the Mopeka systeme for 3 years now and like it even though it’s not extremely accurate when the level of propane is low so the trick is to switch your propane regulator over when the second tank starts to go down.

Stupid video. Just say the dollar amount? Oh. It’s increased 30%. Of what? We’re supposed to know the dollar amount? Simple common sense

  43. FRIDLZ on March 19, 2023 at 10:06 am

Being 34, single with no kids, and only pets, the pros of full time RVing definitely outweigh the cons. I have 3 years until retirement and then I’m committing. Prices will be high regardless of what you do, except gas. That’s naturally going to be more expensive if you travel alot. Luckily I have friends all across the country to visit if I need a break, but I’m used to living alone and being away from people, that it probably won’t bother me as much as others.

  44. Kimberlain O'Driscoll on March 19, 2023 at 10:09 am

The cost of food affects everyone equally. If you pay $7 for eggs at the supermarket while RVing, you’ll still pay $7 at the supermarket if you live in a house.

I wish I could do that I use to camping when I 2as young

  48. Scott Pearce on March 19, 2023 at 10:10 am

Rving was made for short term camping not living full time. With the event of Covid many were forced to work from home so more than expected took to the road. Now you have a glut & people are cashing in… from campsites raising prices to RV manufacturers almost doubling prices in most cases over the past two yrs. I’m sure the pendulum will swing back in the other direction eventually. Until then invest in property and develop a high end RV site!
