I’m no expert on good interior design, but I genuinely disliked most of your advice in this vid.

  5. Colbie Winters on January 16, 2023 at 4:30 am

This had many good points. I am now looking at my rooms differently and seeing I have to "redecorate". LOL. Thanks for pointing these things out!

First time here. Love how you spoke calmly, and no pushy music. Even your promotion was low-key. Appreciated!

In most of these comparisons "after" is just photographed on wide angle with additional lighting for the shoot.
Your can’t possibly see the real difference like this.

This is good stuff — and from a guy, too. Thanks!

    Thank you so much! ❤️

    How to get to heaven:

(You can look up these verses ❤️)
1- Believe that Jesus is God (John 1:1), (John 1:14) who died on the cross for our sins (2 Corin 5:18), (2 Corin 5:21) and rose again (Acts 3:15), (John 3:18)

2- know that you are a sinner in need of a saviour and can’t get to heaven by doing good (Ephesians 2:8), (Rom 3:23)

3- Be sorry for your sins and be willing to stop sinning (1 Corin 6:9-10), (Mat 7:22)

    4- Live for God (John 3:3), (2 Corin 5:17)

God wants to have a relationship with you as your Father, and He doesn’t want for you to live life trying to be religious

‘Choices’ by Billy Graham and the channel ‘Living waters’ on YouTube explain salvation really well.
    God bless ❤️

I like thrifting art that’s super generic like dentist office, hotel room art and then customizing it. Affordable life hack.

This is superb advice. I wonder about the bedroom with regard to curtains though. It seems like most window in the bedroom are small enough to butt the bed up under it. In this case, I don’t know where the length of the curtain should reach.

This was a great video! I really enjoyed how you kept it simple but provided great information. I have 5 airbnbs and i’m continuing to grow. Trying to learn how to design it myself is a must! I don’t quite have the eye yet and hoping to hone this skill a bit more!

  16. Wait What on January 16, 2023 at 4:46 am

Idk I find artwork at 0:41 much more unique and appealing than the one at 1:12. I also like how the Paris picture nicely matches with the sofa and pillows. I’ve heard that colors used in artwork should somehow be presented in other objects of the room (not necessarily the same color tone). I am not a designer but based on this principle the room with colorful pictures needs to be colorful, which is not the choice for everyone

I didn’t know why my coffee table looked so awkward in the space. Thank you for giving me actual size I needed to have instead of just telling the scale needed to be "right". This is real information I can use to get the look I want! Thank you!!!

  20. Susan Roberts on January 16, 2023 at 4:48 am

I have to laugh at these so-called designers telling the unschooled masses how to decorate their homes. Designers love it when they keep changing "styles"—-in this year and out the next. That means impressionable people will try to follow their lead and change their decor—from kitchens to living rooms and bedrooms. After all, they want you to go out and buy—buy!!!! It doesn’t matter if you like what you already have and are happy with the look. That’s why people believe that somehow because someone is telling them that their decor and furniture is dated they should opt to undertake major changes. And, the funny thing is what goes out eventually comes around once again. Mid-century modern right now is all the rage, yet for decades no one wanted the pieces. Give it a few years and mid-century modern will be out once again. It’s a revolving door in the decorating world—-all to get you to think that you have to spend money because someone tells you your "look" is out. That’s how these designers, furniture companies, home decor places, etc. make money—–they appeal to people who believe they must follow the designer trends and conform to what some person dictates. My advice—-and it’s free (you don’t have to buy a thing here) go with what makes you happy. Don’t fall into the trap of changing your decor at every corner. Buy pieces that you’ll love in the future. Follow you own voice—-you know your house/apartment best—and don’t rely on these so-called design gurus to tell you what to do. You’ll save a lot of money, forge your own style in the process, and show that you’re not afraid to celebrate your own style that’s uniquely yours.

Very interesting. Thank you for posting this informative video. A personal pet peeve of mine are puddle drapes, just my opinion, but they look ridiculous.

Hello, I am looking for ideas to fill blank wall above my sofa. Can you provide some ideas. Thanks

  23. Tom Hobot on January 16, 2023 at 4:54 am

Really nice video with great ideas, now only if i lived in a house with someone who PUTS AWAY THEIR SHIT after using it, i could actually have a cohesive looking space. I love my parents, but they are chronic hoarders, every space in their house was littered with stuff. I managed to keep my room tidy, but didn´t have a budget to make what i truly wanted. Then i moved into a rental apartment which i also keps neat and tidy, but it was in an old building with old furniture, and i didn´t want to change much because i knew that i wouldn´t be staying there for long. Then finally saved up enough money to build my own house. Yes, build – not buy. My wife and i worked with the architect, meticulously planned every square meter of it, and i thought i can finally have my lifelong dream of living in a nice, curated, cohesive space. I dug foundations, installed plumbing and wires, glued tiles ang floors, plastered and painted walls. Had a woodworker custom make furniture for us.And when we finally moved in, my wife started leaving everything she has just out in the open. Bought some cute mugs – sure, just put it on a shelf next to the other 14 cute mugs. Done crocheting? Leave all the yarn on the kitchen counter, it’s not like anyone would want to make food there. Leave your wallet, keys and bags there to while your’re at it. Finished choosing your jewellery? Leave the box out in the open too. You decided to wear a different coat or shoes today? No, you don’t need to put away the other one, just hang it in the entrance until spring. Or just leave it hanging there indefinitely, because you’ll buy a new coat in the spring anyway, and forget that the old one is still hanging in the entrance under 5 layers of your other coats, vests and jackets. Meanwhile your closet is half empty. And i won’t even start talking about the bathroom with your makeup and skincare mess. Oh, and god forbid i try to to tidy up the rooms, organize it a little, put some of your stuff away into cabinets – nobody is allowed to touch your stuff. And then i’m the messy one because i leave some breadcrumbs on the kitchen floor when making a sandwich. I leave breadcrumbs there, because there’s NO FUCKING SPACE TO MAKE A SANDWICH ON THIS GODDAMN COUNTERTOP!!!

Sorry, rant over, it was nice to let off some steam. i’ve seriously considered filing for a divorce for the past few months. Or throwing everything that she doesn’t pack away in the trash, and then letting her do the paperwork when she gets mad enough.

  39. Morgan Fleming on January 16, 2023 at 5:12 am

Thank you for the video! Had a question about curtains. My windowsills are still over 3 feet from the floor. Floor-length curtains seem like they would look silly. How far below the windowsill should I plan to go?
