I still love that spread/curtain. It makes the whole bathroom I think.
You did great with the bathroom…..your right, laughing through it worked the best….and, its safe, you guys live each other still.
I’d have tried storing the rolled up towels in the magazine spot..
You’re so cute, you two.
wow, my 1954 house has that exact same bathroom layout and size. the only difference is the closet is outside the bathroom, but the closet space does cut into the bathroom. even the main door opens out, just like yours.
Love this site! Reminds me of home!
You, two, are hillarious!
Durock is garbage. However, I found good use for it when I redone countertops in one of My house’s kitchen. I much prefer Hardie board for floors & walls.
By the way, I love how Y’all work together with great love & pride.
Your show is as good as anything Hollywood could create. So interesting…well done people⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awesome job!!!
Bless your heart, I would have had many emotions but laugh was not one. I am so glad you are not hurt.
Gorgeous!!!
All I can say is, bless your heart!
I think you would really enjoy a video that SueMe posted today about 1930s bathrooms.
Thank you for sharing the REAL! loved the paint fiasco and drop, I literally clicked subscribe after this, i want to see REAL period restorations! Love yall, and what a phenomenal job!
Agh what are the tiles you used?!
Hi Janie! Beautiful work love that color. You two are too cute. A question for you, from where did you source your tile cutter and tile?
Kevin and Laine are master restorators! The bathroom is fabulous! Its so wonderful how you just rolled with it…i would’ve been sitting on the toilet crying my eyes out. Back to the bathroom – the floor is my favorite redo of them all OH and the found tiles in the garage!!! LOVE IT! My Nana was a depression baby which is where i got my save it for a rainy day attitude about things so i was jumping up and down for you two!!! Everything is so amazing, cute and adorable 💜
You guys have so much patience to be able to handle something like that spill so positively!!! And humor to that’s always so helpful isn’t it?! In the end this bathroom is one of my favorite styles and you did it in amazing amazing amazing colors and I would probably live the rest of my life in that bathtub if I bought that house!!! Beautiful beautiful job guys and I appreciate the humor!!!!! And Lanie I make all the same kind of voices you make when you talk how different people talk it’s adorable and I’m glad I have a speak sister!!!!!
Thank you for showing what can be done to remodel a vintage bathroom and keeping the green color. I hate it when people come into a home and completely destroy the beauty of vintage furnishings. Thanks
Love the accents in the floor tile beautiful job. I have tile for my bathroom redo its octagon gray and white marble. This bathroom was in addition to the back of the house built between the late 60s in the early 70s the original fire rated brick and adobe brick (interior wall structure was built in 1909! And I’m not even sure if there was a bathroom in the house I think they had an outhouse.
That looks soooo pretty 💚💚I found an 1880 complete Victorian porcelain toilet for $25 😁 the gentleman selling didn’t know what it was and his wife had done an awful paint job on it. It’s currently sitting in my Butler’s pantry for when I restore the wet areas. I’ve collected everything for the redo at next to nothing. Looking on line here in Australia the loos can go for up to $6000😳which is INSANE!!!
I do love the vintage conversion curtains! Lovely!!!!
I hope you didn’t hurt yourself. That sounded like a back injury waiting to happen. Oh my god be careful. 😲
That WAS painful seeing that paint splash. Turned out absolutely gorgeous.
How about you just take the paint and try it on a piece of wood scrap and let it dry BEFORE you put it on the time-consuming window and door trim??? If it didn’t match then take it back and show they mixer guy and get it done over.
Beautiful bathroom!!! You two are awesome!!! 🛁
That bathroom is beautiful BTW. Epsom salts in your pretty new bathroom when you fall down and go boom. 😏. Love you guys. ❤️❤️🦄🌈
👨🍳 💋 Bravo 👏 🙌
I wasn’t so sure at the beginning of the project, but Man oh Man….End Results….I LOVE IT! Great job on the tile and I actually think the white trim on the bathroom window was a meant to be because it just crisps it up, with the finishing touch of icing on the cake is the curtains! PERFECT! Love Love Love it. You have Great VISION. New to your channel and loving everything I’m watching. I have an old farmhouse built in 1860, I love her. Great history to her and in the process of a major exterior upgrade. You and your husband do fantastic work! Inspirational.
Going back through this playlist and rewatching… looking for the courage to tackle installing wall tile for the first time.
On one of my first painting experiences I had a paint matching nightmare. I bought Martha Stewart paint from KMart and misjudged how much paint I needed. So I went back to purchase another gallon. It was a standard color in their line. They had the formula for it so no matching was needed. I get home and the paint doesn’t match after drying. I went back three times and even went to another location and could not get it to match. I ended up buying two gallons and just repainting the whole room. I never bought paint from KMart again. I also never bought too little paint again.
OH my gosh I just love the improvising with painting the trim white. It really made the room, the window just POP!!!
Do y’all offer consulting services?
🌟🌟 New subscriber here! 💖💖 I don’t remember how I found your channel, however, I have fallen in LOVE with Janie! It is an adorable bungalow!
Laine, I know your pain when you slipped off of the side of the tub and splattered paint all over yourself and the freshly grouted tiles. I would have been laughing my tail off after crying in a corner for a minute or two.
My husband and I have been married for 29 years as of this past November and have raised four children in a home built in 1900. I have learned so much in the nine videos that I have watched. I wish I had known a few things sooner. Hindsight is 20/20, I suppose. I love you and Kevin as a couple too. The two of you working together is simply adorable!
Keep up the great work, and I’m going to keep watching and learning from your channel 🥰🥰
Amazing reno. I love the way you embraced the color and tiled up to the ceiling – lovely! The use of the tablecloth is perfect. I’d say this vintage makeover is a WIN! great job guys. Beautiful.
I love the floor tile! How fun! Love the way you two work together
It is beautiful. I would say the green in the kitchen is more like a mint at least from only being able to see through the video and the bathroom is similar. But, beautiful none the less and the tile work Laine, is awesome. You did a great job and the floor tiles very nice and imaginative. Great job!!!😊😊
Cute couple!
Wow!!!
Lol. O my goodness . I think I’m your mother!
Oh but that bathroom is Fabulous!!!!
LOVE IT !!
Good job girl.Look’s good. Oh the curtain look’s great. You guys are funny lol. Poor thing fell, dang i am so glad you didn’t get hurt to baD. yOU TWO ARE GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO. hUGS!!
I have a bathroom with that actual turquoise tile but it’s original to our house.
Had to stop video. Noooooooooo.
GOOOOD job, fresh, vintage and clean.
So happy to find this channel! I see too many people destroying such beautiful homes for new and modern looks, it makes me so sad. But when seeing this, this is amazing! You made it look so authentic. Is this something I could do for the first time? I’ve never worked with tile (neither wall or floor) but I’m so interested! 🙂
Amazing job! Thank you for sharing!!
So amazingly great you weren’t seriously hurt in the fall. Absolutely love your custom pattern in the floor!
Oh man … hate when that happens. Glad you could laugh.
Gorgeous job guys.
Nice job. Love the color scheme, floor pattern & love that you kept that vintage sink!
