Your content is great because you clearly care about teaching things to us, not just trying to get our attention

I think its good advice. As I get closer to this its getting much more daunting and difficult. It was fine two years ago just perusing vids and then in lockdown in which I lost everything, Im being forced into van life. Notebooks are filling up, ads for everything I must sell are spreading, links are piling up in folders, im scouring for serious info and getting extremely annoyed at cute, sexy, useless, time-wasting van videos meant to get clicks and cash for the creators. Im alone in the deep part of the lockdown cycle in which im so brain-tired and worried, and i have to do a build and for low dollars. Im also locked up abroad due to covid, cant go home yet and trying to plan and do as much as I can by remote control. I dont have a van yet and search almost everyday to see whats there, whats available to actually get quickly when the time comes, while trying to figure out what a van itself will need to be in good running condition. Easy to make mistakes. "Getting closer" is very difficult because you have to think of solving every aspect all at once.

Omg I can “feel” your intention to help thru the screen as I watch. This is my first video here & will be living in my minivan (for now) for the second time with more knowledge under my belt. I am a solo female separating from marriage & ultimately divorce (thought you’d like to know who’s viewing this) I never thought of exploring Facebook groups or meetup type events to be honest. Thanks so much I subscribed & liked this video.

One of my biggest problems with full van/camper life or even part time is I’m a “collector” & already have an entire room just to store the bulk since I don’t have enough room to display everything yet :/ If the stuff was worthless than sure I could ditch a lot of it but I’m pushing $40K worth of inventory at the moment (I’m almost at my mid 20s) and it would take a fair amount of time to liquidate all of it. (Planed on selling when my first kid went to college if I end up having children)

I am taking possession of a 1999 Tahoe 4 door that I plan on building a bed in and converting into a camper as my winter project. Maybe spending more time camping in the vehicle will push me to go out more which I really need for my mental health. Great video positive vibes 💜🥂

Hello :)- Thank you for your very insightful information. I am a single male in my late 40’s never married, no kids and never married. I do not own a home and don’t plan on buying one in this market. Just looking for a vehicle that suits me. I am tired of the rat race and the cost of rent constantly going up!!! Kudos to you for what you bring to this community. Kudos :)-

  32. Scott Cupp on October 16, 2022 at 7:33 am

Can’t believe how NICE your van is. I know the E150 is roomy but you utilized every bit of that interior and made a great home out of it. Giving me some ideas for my E250 extended cargo. I especially like the way you have the cockpit and the cargo area separated with that door. Very nice!!

  33. ad lucem on October 16, 2022 at 7:35 am

To prepare for vanlife listen to a Joe Biden speech. It’s as filled with bull shit and nonsense as vanlife propaganda.

  34. Raynor on October 16, 2022 at 7:35 am

The problem I’m having is I don’t know what I want. I know I want to go tiny but I don’t know how. I have looked up Van Life, Skoolies, RVs, Trailers, Yurts, Tiny Houses, Log Cabins & everything in between. I bought a 26ft trailer in Nov 2020 and I wanted to convert it. But now I’m not sure if its the best fit for me. I love the idea of Skoolies but if it breaks down I’d have to stay in a motel well my home is being repaired.

Try to think about each "thing" in your house or apartment as just another rock in your backpack weighing you down, they go away easier. Give to friends or family things you just can’t part with, knowing they will be appreciated and come back to you if you leave van life.

  36. Hentai Warrior on October 16, 2022 at 7:37 am

Its encouraging to know that you were previously a military member who decided to live in a van once your enlistment was up. I’m in the Air Force and I’ve been thinking about living in a van once my 6 year contract is up. I personally think that converting a van is a way better choice than buying a house/paying rent for an apartment. I’m looking forward to watching you convert a new van in the near future. Thanks for the valid points you made throughout the video!

Do you think this is a good alternative for a college apartment?

No joke, that steak looked scrum-diddly-umptious. I have been ITCHING for Van life for almost 2 years and my bf hopped on board about a year ago. We’re pulling the trigger for good next year 😊

I cant imagine how my life would have turned out if I had lived in a van till I retired from my career. I think its a great idea considering all the greed in real estate and the cost of living just to put food on the table today. I just turned 43, Im retired now, im busier now than I was when I had a job. I bought an Astro van a few years back, I completed a lot of projects on it, I sold it this year for a really nice profit and bought a 99 Dodge Ram Van, Im staring all over again. I have already wedged a 2018 new engine and tranny, lifted it 8 inches and run 35 inch tires on it. This one is going to be my best work, I have just started with the bare essentials. I will continue to use it for surveillance, video and photography projects. I recently sold footage to a major network of the riots and marches, the money is great but the rush is priceless. I was in the middle of a march, I poked my head out the front door window, sat on my custom roof rack while flying my drone right into a huge fight. I noticed it was moving towards me. I grabbed my drone, slid into my van and closed the drapes so no one would see me. I have cameras for a 360deg view around my van, I captured more footage just feet from me. No one knew anyone was in my van, I waited 2 hours then drove away. I feel alive, Im living the dream, I cant get enough of the rush I get when something so big is happening just inches away from me unnoticed. On my way home back to my state, I went for some storm footage and caught 2 tornados and lots of destruction footage. I guess you can say I am creating a new career for myself. I would do a You Tube channel but I feel it would jeopardize my real work just because I wanted a better content with You Tube. Its still on the table but im not sold on it yet. If I had someone with me in the same scenario and vision, I might do it.

Did you ever get hung up on whether or not to get a high top? I currently have a 2012 Chevy Express 2500 extended; sometimes I think about minivans but then I tell myself that if you think about minivans then you don’t need a high top in the Express; lol. But it would be nice to stand up. Cool video.

How did you fasten the insulation to the van and also fasten the nice ceiling you have? I’ll also take your advice on looking at other videos about it.

Add a better descriptor for us guys. Not to be negative, but my wife kills me whenever I use it as a descriptor. Try to find something upbeat to call your viewers. Don’t worry if you copy someone else just make it sincere. Thanks and I will continue to watch. Good luck.
