We installed about 1000sf of the AquaGuard Salemo Smooth Water-Resistant Laminate. They made cracking noise when walked on so we filed a complaint to floor decor. They sent an inspector and did the inspection. A week later they sent us the report and stated that the sub floor is uneven and that is what caused the noise when walked on. Well, this is a shock to us! The inspector told us, while he was here in our home, that there was nothing wrong, nothing abnormal, with our installation! We asked him after the inspection if he saw anything wrong, and he gave NO INDICATION whatsoever that the problem was with our installation! I feel like this whole thing is staged/rigged! We are in shock as to why the inspector told us what he told us and then now, we receive this email from floor decor and blamed it on the sub floor. We used the most expensive underlay also the cost 70 cents per sf. Don’t by this crappy laminate, the sales girl was really convincing and adamant about it and told us to buy this product. The manufacturer take no responsibility, trust me. It is impossible that the whole 1000sf floor is uneven per their claim.I installed a few laminate floors already and this is the worst. Although, we did test it at the store with a couple pieces put together with underlay and they don’t make noise but when you have lot of pieces put together that is when they start to make
noise when walked on. You can try it yourself if you don’t trust me and waste your money.

I have a cement substrate and a tiered living area with cement steps. I read the installation instructions that an underpayment is required, but how is this installed over cement steps? I have 1700 sq ft showing up at my house in a week a a half. Can I use a product like Red Guard on the cement steps than use a product like blue liquid nails and glue the risers and steps to the concrete step? Any instructional videos? Or advice how this should be done? The step is 25 feet long, 12” deep and the rise is about 5” and separates the dining room, entry area and office from the living room and kitchen.

With such high quality Chinese construction, I am so surprise that the tongues on the short side keep breaking off during our installation. There goes 3 boxes of it. I can’t return it either, because it’s an "Installation error"

My installer laid 500 s.f. of AquaGuard Cocoa in my master bedroom today. Unfortunately after cleaning the dust off with a damp mop, we ALL noticed that 50% of the boards had a VERY different sheen and therefore made the entire bedroom look checkerboard. We called Floor and Decor and found that their policy for defective wood or laminate would be for US to call (hire) a floor inspector and if he determined it to be defective, then Floor and Decor would exchange the floor but would take NO responsibility for my installer having to uninstall and reinstall the flooring. This is what Floor and Decor does to their customers. I will not be shopping there again and my installer said he will never recommend them either. Not a happy camper.

Back in the spring we bought about $,1500 worth of Aqua Guard from Floor and Decor in Jacksonville on the recommendation of the store salesman that this product could actually withstand a 30 hour submersion in water without cracking or bulging. We installed about 550 sq feet and were satisfied with the look and feel….until we were hit by another hurricane in September 2017 and the floors were submerged for about 4 hours and most of it swelled up and buckled. I called the local store and they told me to contact the corporate office and file a warranty claim. Did that 4 weeks ago and still no answer. So we decided to go back to the local store and spoke to another store manager who immediately said, "that should NOT happen, that flooring should withstand submersion for up to 30 hours without distortion. He suggested I speak to the laminate manager, who quickly dismissed the first manager’s comment. He told me to re-contact corporate and file another claim. And even though I had lots of pictures of before and after flooding the manager said corporate would not entertain a warranty claim without a written report from a certified flooring inspector. He told me there are two in Jax and Google them for more information. Did that… and they only charge $400 for a inspection and a written report. So do I throw away another$400 and three weeks of delays and mental anguish or should I cut my losses and go with another supplier? The only thing I can say about F&D is that they have good prices, their customer service after the fact does not exist, any promise they make are empty, worthless and probable borderline fraudulent. In conclusion if you are considering buying anything from these people remember your Latin "Caveat Emptor" let the Buyer beware…

What’s it called again? I don’t think she mentioned the name enough.

I can’t find much information on this product. My biggest concern, are you able to set cabinets and appliances on the product?
