I enjoy your videos so much. You get to the point, and you do it with grace.

  2. Sara T on October 19, 2022 at 4:42 am

Intersting video! I am much more for things that are not as permanent as wallpaper 😅 not brave enough to stick something on the wall that will take ages to remove. And I love cozy beds but I hate removing extra pillows. So 100% minimalist bedding in my home! 💕

  3. Tim Riehl on October 19, 2022 at 4:42 am

If I’m feeling ill, I want to be cocooned; if I’m feeling healthy, I like minimal bedding.😀

    Thank you, thank you!
We appreciate your well researched, thoughtful and intelligent insight into the world of design!

I know it’s probably a fan, but the plant in the background that is jostling made me anticipate something jumping out 😅

Textured finishes are great. My cats just love to sharpen their claws on that sort of thing. I have a clothes hamper I have to hide in the closet because my cats’ pupils all dilated with lust the minute I brought it into the house.

In the summer, my bed is stripped down to basically just a sheet and light blanket, because it is simply too hot to have anything else. But I prefer the squishy, cozy, fluffy texture as soon as the hotter months fade away.

Hi Sister, I love your channel. Very beautiful video and Amazing

I just bought my own apartment and going to move in next January. I am so excited. I decided to have a very minimalistic bedroom because it improves sleep and is also better for the environment. Really enjoy your content. You have a great personality and I am always impressed by your knowledge.

I am so ahead of the trends that I have a waterbed 😜

  11. Robin InVA on October 19, 2022 at 4:52 am

Always…the layered, cozy bed. Always. ♥️

  12. LLJ L on October 19, 2022 at 4:53 am

    Nice!!! Subscribed!!!

  13. Lori Walter on October 19, 2022 at 4:54 am

I love all the photos you use to support your content. The wallpaper, especially, is brilliant. I would use removable wallpaper because I rent but choosing is a challenge because I love pattern. So, I watch videos like this and fantasize. 😉

  14. LaurenAnne on October 19, 2022 at 4:56 am

I definitely like a minimalist style bed. I want only what I will use to sleep with on my bed. The idea of undecorating and redecorating my bed every day seems like a waste of time. I’m like that with most things, actually. If it’s something I use regularly I don’t want it to be styled in such a way that I have to redo it every time I use it.

  15. Hzleyes708 on October 19, 2022 at 4:56 am

Anyone besides me allergic to linen?

  16. Joan Mercier on October 19, 2022 at 4:56 am

Great video 👍. I am a new subscriber to your channel and I love it. Im wondering if you have a show on decorating a small bedroom. My master bedroom is 10×10 with zero storage and not one closet in the house. I’ve ripped up the carpet. Getting new windows and drywall

  17. cartergirl3of3 on October 19, 2022 at 4:58 am

Penny, if you havent already, can you please do videos on "how to do color in your space" and "how to hang wall art?"

I just bought my own apartment (yay) and I think I did well cohesivly matching the walls floors and cabinets of my kitchen but…now Im scared. Sofas, rugs, throws, pillows…i feel the urge to keep everything neutrals or grays or blues just because its comfortable but I really want pops of color that dont looks out of place. Its causing me to get anxiety about purchasing the wrong item that turns out to not look good in my space. And then the other part about the pictures….again, comfort. Im temped to just throw a big picture on each wall but I know there are other really beautiful ways to layer and style wall art.

Any advice (or video) would be so helpful.

    Ummmm, Brooklinen is expensive.

  19. SJ Willis on October 19, 2022 at 4:58 am

Wallpaper on the ceiling ?? 😖 Not in my boudoir . As for my bedding , it’s always layered . With jumpers , leggings , sweatpants . I’m very lax when it comes to hanging things up in the wardrobe . I’m not proud of that . I do love the rich moody colours for walls mindyou . Have you ever seen the film Lady Macbeth? Those colours made me think of that film .

    ❤️❤️

  21. s p on October 19, 2022 at 5:06 am

Layered bedding but not excessive. I keep my bedroom very cold so the minimal style does not work and I don’t like it anyway.

  22. Sara Byrd on October 19, 2022 at 5:08 am

we just went dark navy blue in our bedroom, with an accent wall in white and a navy headboard. right now I’m focusing on bringing in more gold and other nice accent colors. we have been loving our layered bedding with a fluffy duvet, makes it feel so nice coming to our room!

    Nice sharing

  24. Candace McGuire on October 19, 2022 at 5:13 am

Interesting tips. I like the look of a layered bed in photos, but in my home, I like a minimalist, tailored bed.

  25. Kathy Willis on October 19, 2022 at 5:14 am

    Great information as always!

  26. Fifi Leigh on October 19, 2022 at 5:15 am

my tempura mattress feels like sleeping on a cloud.

  27. rockshot100 on October 19, 2022 at 5:15 am

Posh, excellent pics to illustrate your points. Ideally, I like to be cocooned but live in Tampa. I have still gone in that direction with very textured, muted, and dark colors. It is always hot, very very sunny, and humid here, so my idea of cocooned is a cool dark cave. I so much agree with what you said about pops of black. At first I didn’t understand, but it does make everything not look like it is floating. "Grounded", is the right word. Thank you.❤

  28. SCC on October 19, 2022 at 5:17 am

I love the look of a well layered bed, but not having to put it all on the floor to sleep.

  29. Eimaj on October 19, 2022 at 5:17 am

I love a dark, moody vibe in the bedroom and living spaces, but prefer it to be brighter in my kitchen and bathrooms with more natural light. Great video and photos.

  30. Love at First Hike on October 19, 2022 at 5:17 am

It looks like a lot of the postmodern trends that dominated the 80s are coming back in a modern style and I’m not mad about it. I love all the curves and soft shapes!

  31. Key Lime on October 19, 2022 at 5:18 am

I like wallpaper but hate these big floral patterns, unless more modern and abstract. I’ll skip that one…

I love millwork in a more modern way like slat walls.

  32. Saida Mizyed on October 19, 2022 at 5:19 am

I absolutely love the moody bedrooms/ libraries 😍🥰

  33. Betty Pang on October 19, 2022 at 5:21 am

Has anyone use the promo code ? Brooklinen didn’t accept it ! 🤷‍♀️

  34. MaryLut on October 19, 2022 at 5:22 am

That is definition of real luxury -as opposed to ostentatious display – when it adds so much value to your lifestyle that you refuse to part with it

  35. Juanro Aguiló on October 19, 2022 at 5:24 am

    Nice!!!

  36. LivingForThis on October 19, 2022 at 5:25 am

Do you have a video for bedrooms or rooms on general with pitched roof? 🙂

  37. Friday Hunt on October 19, 2022 at 5:25 am

There is no greater investment in your life than a quality mattress and good bedding. Almost every single piece of my furniture is from Ikea, Goodwill and family. My European Sleepworks mattress was a *huge* investment for me, but after 21 years (with a 20-year warranty), it still feels great. Get the best that you can afford, it not only will it last and be better for the environment, it’ll save you money in the long run. A good night’s sleep is priceless, and back pain is expensive.

  38. Monicasmoda on October 19, 2022 at 5:26 am

Minimalism 100% in the bedroom. Bed, nightstands and lamp only. Bare warm white walls and no clutter. My bedroom has warm neutrals, amazing French linens and I love it so much each time I look at it. Feng Shui also discourages too many items in the bedroom, even plants. And no mirrors facing the bed! Bed placement is also so important!

  39. Anica Vink on October 19, 2022 at 5:28 am

Hi!! I have to decorate my room but I have trouble with my pitched roof, would you like to make a video about that or give tips? I really like your videos you have already helped me so much thank you!<33

  40. Kathy Willis on October 19, 2022 at 5:29 am

You always give such real and spot on information.

  41. Rita on October 19, 2022 at 5:30 am

With the William Morris influence, it’s interesting 100-150 years later we are back at Arts and Crafts(manship) as a wallpaper trend.

  42. Fransira Home on October 19, 2022 at 5:32 am

Love that wallpaper on the ceiling idea.

  43. MightyWomanOfGod on October 19, 2022 at 5:34 am

OH my gosh, I’m just about to hang up some wallpaper in my trailer that looks almost identical to the william morris bird one! Good thing it’s still in style! 🙂 I was going to do it anyway, but since it’s in, even better!

  44. Christine Duffy on October 19, 2022 at 5:34 am

I’m loving the paneling and layered bed, got me some linen bedding too 💕 great video, in fact all your videos are fab, loadsa info thanks.

  45. Jake from State Farm on October 19, 2022 at 5:34 am

Except for the wood and black trends, I think most of these are going to date quickly.

  46. Pedro Porto on October 19, 2022 at 5:35 am

My home is all about black accents heheh

  47. Sara Preinitz on October 19, 2022 at 5:36 am

Anyone else notice polewrap is sold out absolutely everywhere in the US?

  48. Harpreet Kaur on October 19, 2022 at 5:36 am

Hey Viv! I have a video request, could you share your tips and tricks on how we should go about understanding our clients and their design styles?

  49. RockLobstah on October 19, 2022 at 5:37 am

My bedding is definitely layered…. usually with piles of laundry on top of the sheets/duvet. This is a growing trend since having a family. 😜

  50. Zoey Deu on October 19, 2022 at 5:37 am

I prefer my bedding to be moderate, too much layering looks over the top and difficult to maintain, but sparse/minimalist bedding looks too cold and prison-like 😂😅
