I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.

In my YouTube channel, I present reviews of recreational vehicles. Here you will find campervans and motorhomes from the cheapest camper vans to the most expensive luxury liners, from various companies including Hobby, Hymer, Carthago, Westfalia, Wingamm, La Strada, Frankia, Wavecamper, Maurer, Dreamer, Itineo, Rapido, Clever Vans, Pössl, Bürstner, Niesmann Bischoff, Action Mobil, Benimar, Reisemobil Manufaktur, Robeta, Trigano, Challenger, EuraMobil, Karmann Mobil, Laika, Forster, Mobilvetta Design, Affinity, Globe Traveller, Benimar, Roller Team, Adria, Bocklet, Woelcke,Tourne, Megamobil, VW, Mercedes, CS, Renault, Ford, Fiat, Carado, Sunlight, Baileys, Chausson, Balcamp, Knaus, Weinsberg, Murvi, Bliss, Mitsubishi, Woelcke, Reisemobile Bürow, Holzmobil, Giotti Line and others.

I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.

I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.

I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

So the bed is made for Chinese people or is it a proper bed

  2. Fight2Race on April 20, 2023 at 10:45 am

Thank you great Video….HOPE THE OTHER BRANDS WILL FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE AND PROVIDE US WITH SIMILAR OPTIONS AND BETTER LAYOUTS😊😀

  3. Trafficsnitch on April 20, 2023 at 10:45 am

I like the rear lounge layout. I only need a bed at night and it seems sensible to be able to tuck it away.

Thank you Alan for slowly torturing me with these beautiful vans. As a weekender, this is exactly what I want for the price 57,000. Considering last weekend I saw an ugly Tesla model 3 with the same price tag and a Toyota Highlander SUV, this is a bargain. Now I will continue to curse every American manufacturers to go bankrupt so that we can finally import one of these beauties.

Oh my god that fridge is perfect for people on a diet

How could someone build a vehicle as a display piece to walk though but not check to see if the fridge door opens. Amazing

Lounges, specially face-to-face, are stupid waste of precious space.

  7. Battesti Henri on April 20, 2023 at 10:52 am

Hi Alan, thx for the presentation of the dreamer Van 👍, just 1 question how big is the rear lounge ?
What I like is that the price is still ok for that huge thing

  8. Mark C Littler on April 20, 2023 at 10:54 am

"If you want to open the fridge this might not be the van for you !" 😂😃😂😃😂😃

  9. John Barclay on April 20, 2023 at 10:55 am

I’m not sure the bed would be good for anyone at all claustrophobic.

  10. Judi T on April 20, 2023 at 10:57 am

Take a look at the United States Unity rear lounge. It will make you love rear lounge with Murphy bed. I would like the Unity with the Euro drop down bed as well.

  11. Mark C Littler on April 20, 2023 at 10:59 am

Bed for two lounge for eight, that lounge makes it a potentially more relaxing van to be in especially whilst travelling in countries with a wide range of weathers to experience.

    One of the best

  13. Thomas Weir on April 20, 2023 at 11:05 am

That’s my favourite layout. I love the lounge. And you’re right, it’s a British thing.

  14. Michael V on April 20, 2023 at 11:08 am

What’s the point of building anything that has limited use?

  15. Robert Coren on April 20, 2023 at 11:12 am

Interesting that the van is NOT designed for long term use. In US, many people have taken to living in their van full-time in very similar vehicles.

  16. Anni C on April 20, 2023 at 11:17 am

The lounge is perfekt to see a lovely sunset with the doors open.

  17. Ed Hall on April 20, 2023 at 11:18 am

Alan , the reason us Brits like a rear lounge is not because of the rain. It rains quite a bit in Germany where we spend many weeks in the summer. Difference in Europe to UK is that just because it may rain one day it does not mean its cold, it can be very barmy but its raining – so it is very suitable to sit under the wind out awning sheltered from the rain be be in a warm and pleasant enviorment. When were abroad we very rarely sit inside the van.

In the UK however if the day is not bright and sunny it is usually overcast or raining and the temperature has dropped markedly especially after August or before June, therefore on any break there is a fair chance that quite a few days will be at the very least fresh and likely to be damp and cold. Hence the reason lounges and fully enclosed awning for caravans in the UK.

I’ve owned 2 campers with a fixed rear bed (Hymercar and Sven Hiden) and one with a rear lounge (Wildax Europa). The rear lounge is great, can sit in the back with your feet up and relax.

Alan, the great man opening every single corner of all vans, could not open the fridge there?

Alan is great, this van is not.

  20. Judi T on April 20, 2023 at 11:21 am

BTW, love your videos and dry humor.

  21. JayBenny77 on April 20, 2023 at 11:22 am

Good the kids can cause havok in the rear lounge while I chill in the front. Enough space not to feel cramped. If I had the money I’d be buying that model now.

  22. Stefano Maizza on April 20, 2023 at 11:24 am

I’ve bought this van: it’s fantastic. The lounge is an interesting way to use the rear space for living. If you want more space for luggage, you can transform the lounge into a bed (a large bed 190*165 cm) and use the space under the bed like a traditional Van.

  23. Jack on April 20, 2023 at 11:25 am

Hi Alan, thanks for your videos !! Love them. So insightful 👍 ( Better than some reps 🤣🤣 )
My question if I may, we love this style of van for bed space and rear lounger but the leisure usage …. does that mean living in this for a month is not the best idea ? And do you know what maybe suitable for long term use but compact for family of 4 ?

Thank you kindly for your time. 😁

I do like the toilet/shower layout. Love the rear lounge, although I wouldn’t need the front dinette. Just seems to be adding extra length to the van for no reason. But as you say, each to their own.

Ironically called the living van but the manufacturer recommends not for daily living!

  27. Josh_bfc_ 27 on April 20, 2023 at 11:33 am

Fantastic layout. Gas bottle small but if it had diesel heating and solar panels you could do some wild camping for sure. Love the separate shower and toilet facilities. Would suit my family needs for sure

  28. RKO on April 20, 2023 at 11:33 am

He Alan uncle how are you I love your video

  29. Rudy VV on April 20, 2023 at 11:33 am

I do hate people opening cupboards and doors and NOT closing them. The same as litter thrown around…

  30. Eight Bits on April 20, 2023 at 11:34 am

Thanks for the video. So, this person sent you an Email stating that these vans are not for living. Just leisure. So, what does that mean? Uncomfortable for long time living, or just that the build will not last long enough if used a lot? It seems rather important if one is going to invest ca 60.000 Euros in this.

  31. sim6699 on April 20, 2023 at 11:37 am

Seams best suited to a family of four people

  32. 3dmixer on April 20, 2023 at 11:37 am

Separate toilet and shower is such a waste in a camper van.

  33. Michael De Vere on April 20, 2023 at 11:37 am

Look forward to it Alan. Nice hook😉👍

  34. Mark C Littler on April 20, 2023 at 11:40 am

Looks like value for money for camper vaners.
