Cowboy Camping
I live offgrid and am working toward living a hunter gatherer lifestyle combined with other bushcraft and homestead lifestyle skills. It’s just me, my three dogs, my eight horses, two goats and eleven chickens out here in the sagebrush hills or at my farm property on a creek.
A few years ago I made the decision to finally live the life I’d wanted to live since I was young and these videos are of me learning, and practicing the skills needed for that lifestyle. Life is a whole lot better Over on the Wild Side!
You are living my dream I’m working on getting myself a Horse and then it’s on the trail for me
There is a tent design called the Whelan that is open in front and has flaps or wings that extend on the sides .might give you room for the dogs.

Yes living close to the land and in all the elements that nature has to over is so good for the soul. I am so happy that you are doing what you are doing. I am trying to.learn as much as I can about how our ancestors lived. Feeling healthy finally is the way I intend on staying. No poisonous drugs or experimental vacs. for me thank you. I would love to learn how to make homemade leather moccasins. I watched Indians preparing leather. Also would love to learn how the Indians found and prepared meats foods ect. Great video.
I have that same carbon steel Lodge skillet. I bought a twig stove to use with it. Takes very little wood to boil water or cook bacon.

Iβm your new SUB enjoy
Plus’s & minus’s in both sides !!!π§
Perfect life 4 me but in here in the UK it’s not possible, great video keeps me dreaming minimal income no stress of so called modern living
Dude come on! You soak any cloth in water like that it is a problem. I may be wrong but I always concidered 80% warmth claim to mean getting damp in a normal rain, NOT sitting in water.
I used wool blankets to stay warm down to 20f. I dont recommend it. Just like I don’t recommend get stranded in a storm. It was what it was and I’m glad I had them. Luckily I got out of it the next day. And yes they are 100% wool.
I think a more realistic test is also called for. Also understand today’s wool is not the same as it used to be. It is alot thinner and tighter weaver. You have to compensate for that with layers. I prefer the care, feel, durability and even smell of wool better. For those that don’t, then great for you. Enjoy more modern products, you do you.
Sure do enjoy your videos. Not just because I like primitive camping myself but I like the cowboy persona you portray. What’s best tho is watching the dogs, horses and goats follow you around.
Quite a little band you have there. Nice calming videos and I can’t wait for the 4" of snow we have to go so I can get out again.
When people ask me what I want to do with my lifeβ¦its this
