"The" chair in the room , totally resonating to what i felt these days πŸ™‚ I had one too πŸ™‚ and the last month, i noticed that it was just a way to collect clothes and even books and all ! and not to make me tidy ! and taking it out, made me to organise my things naturally πŸ™‚ rarely this chair was empty and i think in 5 years, i sat in, maybe once .. and even not long because finally not feeling it.. so.. i took it out of its place to try ad see how i feel without before to take the decision to sale it. after a month i noticed i felt more breath in the space without, so i put in for sale now πŸ™‚ same with the little table in the corner to receive a plant. it collected too much stuff and felt it no pleasant finally.. same, i took it out of its place for a while and felt so much breathing in the space since πŸ™‚ so i put in for sale too, and when bringing it to the new owner, i felt liberated πŸ™‚ so a clear sign i did not want it anymore, i loved these things for a while, many years but no more meaningful .. as we change ways of life.. πŸ™‚ and tastes, i go for more natural material too, as I notice that it is the things that i feel keeping more and more with all the years and that i never felt to declutter since a long time πŸ™‚ (sorry for my approximative English πŸ™‚ i am learning and improving it watching your videos πŸ™‚ you made me laugh when dancing on the rug πŸ™‚ you are so sweet πŸ™‚ it is a leap of positivity each time we watch your videos, thanks for sharing your positive energy πŸ™‚ and useful concrete advices πŸ™‚

Ditto on the excessive pillows 🀣 it’s a weakness of mine- but getting rid of them has helped the clutter factor and sped up making the bed!!πŸŽ‰

what color did you paint your walls? lovely warm gray!

I know throw pillows on the bed are a hot button for some people, but I love the way our bed looks with them. It’s a tailoredβ€”yet cozyβ€”look in our case. The rest of the room is uncluttered, roomy, clean, and breathable. I have a pair of chairs in the room and there are never clothes or junk piled on them. We actually sit in them sometimes! At 70, I was a minimalist long before it was a thing.

I just had a thought when you showed the closet and the direction of the bed and talked about no TV in the bedroom. What about hiding the TV on the back wall of the closet, could be interesting for the folks still thinking they needed a TV in the room. Thank you for today’s video.

Removed the bedroom TV about a year ago. It died and I didn’t want to buy a new one. LOVE it!!

  13. Carol Babb on January 11, 2023 at 3:48 am

So funny. From reading the comments I gather I am the most still cluttered person here but I have not had a TV in my bedroom for many years. I did something right! 😁

The pattern on your bedding is beautiful.

Love these tips! The only this I’m not convinced of is having family photos on display in my bedroom. I don’t want to see family photos when my hubby and I are trying to get in a romantic mood πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

This was very informative. Thanks for the video examples. They were helpful. I can’t wait to see you and your mom do her update. 😊

In the bedroom we have no decorative pillows, no computer, no tv, no bench at the end of the bed, we want to keep it as simple and convenient as possible .However, we do have art and pictures on the walls. Take care and many blessings from Canada πŸ’šπŸŒ»πŸ’›

we have 4 things in ours-mattress on floor, light blocking curtains, battery alarm, air purifier that we use as a sound machine…boring but cozy.

We have been married for almost 48 years and have never had a TV in our bedroom. I don’t recall ever having a conversation about it. When we first got married we only had one TV which was in the living room.

A tv doesn’t belong in the bedroom.

  24. Patricia Daly on January 11, 2023 at 4:06 am

You say cozy like 50 times

  25. Bones Sam on January 11, 2023 at 4:11 am

I tried the extra pillows on my bed to make it look great. What a horrible idea and a waste of money. While it looked cute, no one sees my bed and it’s extra work every day taking them off and on. I got rid of them pretty quickly. I love your gray and white comforter/quilt with those pillow cases! Very soothing and simple. Can’t wait to see more of your mom’s bedroom-guestroom. I love her quilt on that bed!!!

We removed the TV over 35 years ago- best decision ever. A tip for modern viewers who have a TV addict spouse- an iPhone or iPad and ear buds work to link to whatever TV feed via Bluetooth etc.

  28. Jennifer G on January 11, 2023 at 4:13 am

I hate blackout curtains. Prefer as much natural light as possible.

  29. Carolyn O'quinn on January 11, 2023 at 4:15 am
