When I pay this amount of money for cards, I expect to be able to write the content and print… two steps. Not having to check a video and then go in to customize my page settings. Won’t be buying a Gartner product again.
Enter office button or file scroll down and hit print. You will enter a
Main printing dialogue box, enter the properties buttton and then choose Paper/Quality. Delete words custom paper size named “letter” and then hit custom and put in the dimensions. Hit save and ok. Close out of the stuff go back to paper/quality and click in letter and scroll all the way down until you see custom with the dimensions wanted then proceed to print.
Well I’ve ruined almost a whole box of invites and ink…. think I’ll just save myself the headache and order mine.
thank you for this video, I dont have the same windows version but I was able to change my paper size with the clues here 🙂
i hate when she clicks her tongue every sentence
Wow. That seems like a ridiculously overdramatic reaction to watching a three and a half minute video, seeing that it doesn’t work, and googling it again.
my version of word is not the same as yours, rendering this whole experience a waste of my time and patience.
I’m not sure what version you’re using but I have MS Office 2010 and I don’t even have a custom button for the paper size. Go figure, this video is from 2012 and she has it.
Why is this showing from word on windows when it just prints directly from the internet? Can anyone help me? I’m trying to print my invitations for me wedding!
This looks like it is for PCs. Is there a version for Macs? O:)
I am so thankful for this video! For years I have been frustrated trying to print on a half sheet of paper. I would have to either cut to size after printing on 8.5 x 11 paper or make the margins huge and print in landscape. My version of Microsoft Word is not the same as yours, but after searching I found a similar screen and was able to FINALLY create a custom size. Thank you for posting this video!
thanks for the video. it helped.
I’ve tried it. Finally what I wanted worked. It’s true what some people said in the comments column, I should have found this video earlier so as not to waste my time. Thank you for this video tutorial. It’s extremely helpful!
Please take this down. It doesn’t work with the specified product. Her voice is a bit irritating too.
thanks alot!!!! it really helped me.., :>
*I need essays writing service. Please recommend.*
This was EXTREMELY helpful. I could not get my settings to apply. Now I know how to do it!! Thank you very much.
Worked great for me for printing flash cards on a regular sheet of paper, thanks!
Thank you So Much 🙂
Yo this whole dialog is great if you are in a windows based world but not one of those menus looks like that when you have a MAC!!!!
I believe the property you demonstrate is a property of your printer (it’s drivers), not a property intrinsic to word. I have word and no printer installed and the "Custom" option isn’t there. All there is is a drop-down that lets me select predefined sizes, of which "Custom Size" (not renameable) is an option.
yes, nothing on that video matches up with my microsoft word settings
FYI this didn’t work for me at all! I was trying to print baby shower invitations, which had a border of baby animals. Even with the custom paper settings, it kept printing on the upper left quadrant of the invitation and over the border. Thank goodness I’m familiar with MS Office products through work. I’m not sure if it was my printer, computer or what. If you’re having issues like me, try this other alternative. (This was for portrait printing):
1) No matter your paper size keep at LETTER size.
2) Since the text is formatted as a table, I set the table as 3.5 x 6.5 under the "Table Tools"> "Layout"
3) Use print preview to ensure the text is centered in the page.
4) Do a test print and modify the height of the table if needed.
This was the only way I got these to print correctly. I kept reusing the one extra invitation included in my kit until i got it right. Gartner should consider including at least two extras.
Um, this didn’t work at all for me. I could not customize the size and wasted almost the entire package trying to make this work. I am sincerely disappointed.
Thanks. It compensate for Microsoft’s wekness.
Thank you . I just wasted 3 hr trying to print on 8.5 and 5.5 size paper. I should have watched the video, it would have save me 3 hr.
Thank you so mch after watching this video we were able to figure out how to get our invitations printed.
Thank you, this helped!
I’m putting this video under my ASMR playlist. Very relaxing.
Thanks !!!
Hi please help me about print
I didn’t even have to go through all that, I just downloaded the template, customized it and hit print and it worked perfectly but thanks for the instructions.
You didnt show me how to put the paper in the printer, thank you so much! =/
After hours of trying to figure this out, if you change your size to 5 x 7, it works just fine
I didn’t do anything wrong! Lindell Aston! new I was sick and went out on me!l just wanted her for a friend! I never did have sex with her!
That is great!
Agreed! Thanks so much Gartner for the informative and so simple directional!!!
What do I do if I don’t have the custom option? I do have the Paper/Quality tab.
Be sure to print VERTICAL/PORTRAIT. 5.5×8.5". I tried going horizontal/landscape but only would print on half of the edge of paper. Printing should be easier!!! Maybe one day computers will be that smart.
that voice make me horny
Guys heads up. It’s easier to do it via Adobe. Promise. Just click design online, click download as PDF and then through Adobe click print, when on the print screen click page set up, 5×7 is an option. Hope I helped.
THIS WAS WRONG. WHERE IS THE ONE FOR MAC??
Oh and BTW you place the invitations in the printer upside down with the boarder facing inside the printer.
I agree with Sarah, I understand why my wedding invitation package was on clearance for $12.97 now. Complete disaster!
Is not working for me eather. Help me this invitation are for my wedding.
Thanks to you
