Hi Julie, thanks for this video, as I look at my entryway, it is small and close to non-existing as it leads directly to the open lounge, dining room, and kitchen. I live in Brisbane Australia, and the houses are not that grand as the California home. I would love to send you some pictures so you can use for later style ideas. Martha
❤️ U Juile beautiful ideas
I have a large and tall entryway… I can’t find an affordable large mirror to go over a long entryway table….
Just love your take on design, Julie!
I love you, Julie. You have been very helpful.
Hi Julie, I’m a new subscriber. I just love your channel, you are amazing. Thanks for sharing.❤
So many round mirrors
Hi Julie , happy new year! When you walk into my home, you’re entering my small dining room with a round dining table..gas fireplace…along with a cabinet across from front door. My question is..how would you style this entry/dining room !!!????
Thank you in advance ☺
Julie thank you for all the efforts for helping us design our Home. But I have a question about mirror in the entry way. I have a mirror facing one of the window in the living room…is that ok?
I have an entry way that opens directly into my living room. In the center of the left wall , there is a window on to my carport. Directly in front is a long wall that is part of my living room. What should I do to the area below the window if anything? The area is approximately 5′ wide. Would a bench there be appropriate?
How to organize shoes in entry way?
Oh my God, for years I’ve put a mirror in front of the entry, I’ve heard they reflect any bad energy coming from outside. I guess they were wrong…..
Julie, thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us. I am looking to buy a new home within the next year and I am compiling a list of all my favorite videos from you such as entryway how to make your house look more expensive etc. etc. And then I’m gonna use them as guideposts to help me. I couldn’t be any more excited and now I’m fearless because of your videos. Thank you so much.
This is all fine and dandy, but most of this isn’t practical or realistic for people who have smaller entryways.
Time for sure to declutter.
Hi Julie it’s helpful but if you don’t have a closet in your entire way where do you store shoes? I am strangling in my entire way collecting everyone’s shoes every minute any suggestions
Thank you from Canada
So glad it turned out okay!!
We are putting a 40 in gong in ours…..
can you give an example with entryways with north side ? 🙂 i´m learning about feng shui and i´m having problems finding blue or water related items for my entryway
You always have the best design tips, Julie! Thank you! In our entry way I have a piece of beautiful wall art of a metal tree that a dear dear friend gifted us when we first moved in to our home and every time we see it, it makes us so joyful and happy.
Is it okey if the mirror is facing the stairs?
This hair color makes you look really old. Initially I thought you were above 50. My apologies. But someone needs to be honest to a beautiful lady.
The first step is to TAKE INVENTORY of your existing entry and source the perfect pieces that will store those items, keep them organized, and finally show off your style.
Would you rather… mirror in the entry? Or artwork?
I loved this video. Thank you 😊
That ottoman idea is amazing!!!
Best and simple explanation Julie. Thank you so much for sharing. Always exciting to watch your updates. Greetings from Australia
I love your videos Julie…you have a great many wonderful ideas. I look forward to implementing them! Why not have both artwork and mirror? Symmetrically colour linked?
I appreciate the pace of your videos- definitely an educational feel vs. annoying, repetitive, and unprofessional.
Wow! There are a plethora of entryway ideas. I have taken snap photos of all the entryway that appear in your video. Thank you for sharing your tips and ideas. ❤❤
How to design a narrow entry way, with 2 niches on side wall and 1 niche, that you see as soon as you enter the home.
Best channel on interior design and, a beautiful lady and personality. Thank you so much!
Our front door is made of iron and has bars on the outside. On the backside (house side) it has a glass semi opaque with wabbly design. One can hardly see thru except for silhouettes. Is that okay for chi to come in and stay in the house?
Julie, love the video as always. The entry to my home is uncovered and there is a huge blank wall right in the front, I would love to see some tips for that as I can’t use things like artwork there, they would be damaged by the rain and heat.
Im trying to figured it out how to design my new house, my Living room has no entry way, when u open the main door it already a living room. home u can help me.
May I ask , what about small entry ways ideas ✨🌟
Love ur insights abt entryways.tnx so much.
Very helpful ❤
Thank you!
I don’t even go out the door where my Foyer is decorated 🤔😂 guess I need to do something in that room too, huh
Very good ideas
❤
Great info, thanks for sharing. I love it that there’s no background music. Beautiful images.
My entry is so tight the hallway is not big enough to go through with the wealchear and two people can’t pass itch other. How am i suppose to put sideway table and a mirror?bump in to it and knock everything.
Great video. But still cannot figure out how to incorporate into my entryway to create the wow factor. Wish there was a way to send you a picture as do need the help
Excellent—thank you!
All beautiful ideas! Going to incorporate them soon!!! Thanks again for another awesome video Julie! My entryway is of decent size. Although, the bigger wall is not facing the main door, but it faces the hallway where all the bedrooms are. Not sure if I should be placing mirror on that wall if I want to follow Feng Shui/Vaastu (?)
Also, my entire foyer is tiled. Rest of the home is dark wood floor. Not sure if a rug would look nice on tiles or even stay put as I fear it might be slippery. Any suggestions?
Great video, but could you do one on garage entryways we leave the large garage door open almost all day because I do work out there. I like the sunshine and wind and it’s difficult to get to our front door so everyone uses the garage door as an entrance right into the kitchen not much can be done there, so Hass to be in the garage. Thanks so much
Heidi
Love your tips! Could you please tell me how to cure my number of my house (44) it faces the west and its on my letterbox in front of my house.
Hi Julie. Video is very informative. Could you please do a video about open floor plan living room and dining area? When i open my front door, i will see an open space and divide it to be 1/2 living room and 1/2 of the room is dining room. I cant find a good spot to put entry way furniture.
All the pictures were super helpful!
Thank you for the education- my new condo entry is going to be beautiful!
Hi Julie,
I love your videos, they are very helpful and informative . I use to follow Joanna Gains for decorating tips and trends. You explain everything , in addition , you state where to purchase these items, thank you for that. But my problem or situation is, my husband and I saved up our money and bought, you guessed it, a matchy- matchy box store living room set. Everything you say not to buy, we have. We bought these items before we saw your videos. Now we are stuck with a sofa, love seat and chair, all the same. We have glass and chrome living room tables. Can you do videos on how to cover up or disguise these items? We can’t afford new ones. Also, can you take it down a notch ? My house doesn’t look like that, nor do I own those types of decorative items. Please do a show with decorative items from, IKEA , Walmart, Target, Amazon., etc. Thank you for reading my comment and have a nice day!
