I would love to see how your lighting looks in the kitchen sometime 🙂

  2. Danielle Shaheen on February 1, 2023 at 4:30 am

I love your videos and your personality so much, Valentina but I have to say I do love a cozy kitchen but, of course, to each their own!!! I’m in the home improvement industry and every time I’m in a home with a beautiful cozy kitchen, it just feels so amazing!!! Although, I am all about the black/white/beige look and probably getting ready to change my kitchen over to those colors! Your kitchen feels a bit cold for my taste but I still love and appreciate all of your useful tips….even those tips can be used for a cozy kitchen too!!! Love ya!!!❤️

White furniture with black furniture and marble furniture or linen furniture with European pine furniture and dark wood furniture for a cozy vibe? How do you decide when you love both equally. My goal is modern Scandinavian meets Spanish villa. Help me decide on vision for my 90 year old home. The home has a beautiful arch in the living room dividing the living room and dining room space. There is no wall for sofa so how do I decide on how to pick a sofa when I’m so torn on my style? Love a modular sofa with performance fabric because it makes sense for my family of 10. But I’m in love with a slope arm slipcovered sofa. So modern and amber interiors. Help me decide my vision Val! Such an expensive decision to get it wrong would be a costly mistake . I’m so indecisive I can’t make a decision…help me decide on a sofa that is both beautiful and functional for a space with no walls for furniture.

I want to know if you have eaten the cantaloupes yet! Haha!

  5. Tetan Brannen on February 1, 2023 at 4:31 am

It is wonderful to have your own idea of what works for you and what doesn’t. You have a beautiful kitchen! I definitely am not hiding my paper towels or putting a nice rug in mine. My kitchen gets used hard and is always messy. It HS to be cleaned every evening. I have the ugly squishy mats, too. They get wiped down and are perfectly sanitary. A rug would not be at all. I love the look of no cabinets but I have so much that I need a place to keep things. I do agree about the clutter! I like empty counter tops with a few plants.

  6. Amya Ramsey on February 1, 2023 at 4:31 am

I would love to see a cooking video with some of your family’s favorite recipes!!

  7. Dee on February 1, 2023 at 4:34 am

Older citizens & people with bad backs who cook, they need things simple to get to without bending down everywhere to find things.

  8. Hiro Miyamoto on February 1, 2023 at 4:34 am

Kitchen towels are necessary so it needs to be out ideally. You can tuck it away by hanging it below wall cabinets. I think that’s why it’s suggested to put it away because there are no wall cabinets. outlets are also essential. I don’t hide mine, I upgrade mine. I agree white outlets can be ugly so I upgraded all mine to solid brass outlets and they’re so pretty. Function and beauty. Obviously not possible if it’s a rental unless you swap them back. I agree less clutter is better – mainly because its more prep space.

  9. Erin Biery on February 1, 2023 at 4:37 am

Any suggestions for kitchen corners that have cabinets above it? I’ve been stuck & have had a hard time finding decor to fill a short & deep area that still has a clean streamlined look.

  10. B B on February 1, 2023 at 4:38 am

Instead of hiding outlets, upgrade the outlet covers…mind you need to do it throughout the home…but it can make a big difference. I think of them like I do TVs now…they are a part of daily life now, so stop trying to hide them…embrace them and just upgrade the presentation.

  11. Lori Boyles on February 1, 2023 at 4:40 am

Love all your ideas. Wondering if you could use a large round rug in your kitchen.

  12. YAHMEIN on February 1, 2023 at 4:41 am

I love your approach in this video I think a lot of people are quick to judge those who decorate their kitchens but the real reason is so that we can actually enjoy and otherwise utilitarian space and still have it be functional, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as you can still use it the way it’s supposed to be used! 🖤

  13. Kim5678 on February 1, 2023 at 4:43 am

Valentina, I love your style! Can you give us ideas on how to accessorize a dining table when it’s not in use. I’m looking for ideas that are minimal and modern.

  14. Karen Louis on February 1, 2023 at 4:47 am

Very fun – love your enthusiasm!

  15. Leila El Moussaoui on February 1, 2023 at 4:48 am

I would only use one fruitbowl and use some space for 3 different everyday oils in clear bottles on a small tray…

  16. Heather Albrecht on February 1, 2023 at 4:48 am

I hate this kitchen. I cook and clean. Oh we also drink coffee.

  17. Lauran Curtis on February 1, 2023 at 4:49 am

Of course you cook, Valentina – I’ve seen you numerous times!💖

  18. Ana Reyalvarez on February 1, 2023 at 4:49 am

I believe that functional items can be displayed in a decorative way. And still look beautiful and expensive.

  19. Audrey Cole on February 1, 2023 at 4:50 am

Honestly, I think removing top cabinets in the kitchen causes you to lose much needed storage. But maybe you don’t own as much as I do;)😂

  20. Michelle Ali on February 1, 2023 at 4:50 am

Absolutely love your style approach Valentina! And I just put away my paper towels 😜 instantly gives the counter space an uplifting feeling ✨❤️ Also, currently looking for art to install 💃🏽✨

  21. Juliana Villanueva on February 1, 2023 at 4:52 am

Tips are great! Funny not interested in all the vases you have in the kitchen and all the bowls for fruit. We all have clearly different interests. Most important thing do you! Keep your space CLEAN!

  22. cls012984 on February 1, 2023 at 4:53 am

With a small child in the house, the paper towels will remain on the counter. I put everything else away except that one thing because that one convenience trumps anything else for me.

  23. Lisa Morris on February 1, 2023 at 4:54 am

Your kitchen is beautiful. But, there is something off with the small lamp under your artwork.

  24. May Eighteen on February 1, 2023 at 4:54 am

I thought that huge grey bubbly vase was a bunch of coffee pods on a holder! 😂

  25. B on February 1, 2023 at 4:56 am

I agree with minimizing countertop items and making sure the items that are out are beautiful. However, I do keep paper towels out as a courtesy for guests. I hate being at someone’s house and I pour some wine and then – hello drops of red on the countertop. I want to clean it up without bothering the host. Maybe since my counters and backsplash are mostly white, it doesn’t bother me? I agree with artwork in the kitchen – more artwork in every room. I also think every kitchen needs a candle. And layered lighting is essential. Our overhead lights are bright, almost daylight kelvin. The under cabinet are warmer. We use the overhead when preparing food and the under cabinet the rest of the time. Thanks for the video!

  26. Kristine Staley on February 1, 2023 at 4:57 am

While I like your dark cabinets, I would enjoy your kitchen more if it had pops of reds, yellows and oranges. Decorating with cantaloupe and tan is not inspiring in my opinion. Painting the window trim black or adding shades may also add more interest.

  27. Trisha Morgan on February 1, 2023 at 4:58 am

Tomorrow, I am organizing my kitchen!!

  28. Spooky_scaryskeltons on February 1, 2023 at 4:58 am

Do you have a before picture of your kitchen? With the upper cabinets .

  29. Laurie Engel on February 1, 2023 at 5:00 am

I would like to see what your kitchen looks like with the lights on. The fixtures are so cool and it would be great to see the effect they create!

  30. Ali Kayani on February 1, 2023 at 5:02 am

Mashallah you’re looking really chic & sophisticated today, really nice dress

  31. Rochelle Palmeri on February 1, 2023 at 5:03 am

Please please tell me where that gorgeous bubbly vase is from? I didn’t see it in the links.

  32. nancy LaGuardia on February 1, 2023 at 5:04 am

What brand of range do you have in your kitchen?

  33. Jesse Riley on February 1, 2023 at 5:04 am

Agree with all of this! I want to take my uppers down so bad! I. Have no pantry so that is difficult.

  34. Carey McPherson on February 1, 2023 at 5:06 am

Can anyone please tell me some amazon dishes that they love? Thanks

  35. Heidi Bay on February 1, 2023 at 5:08 am

I agree with Valentina. I hate paper towels, so I do not have them on display. I just wash my hands when needed. I have a pump on my soap so I do not have to touch anything. I can just use my wrist.

  36. A on February 1, 2023 at 5:10 am

    Gorgeous colour on you!🥰

  37. Susan Lueem on February 1, 2023 at 5:16 am

Love my appliance „garage“ under a cupboard in the corner. They are right on the counter
Can lower door & it all disappears!

  38. ZeldaTheLegendof on February 1, 2023 at 5:16 am

Window trims will look better in black to match the cabinets. Also it is in keeping with your modern style.

  39. B B on February 1, 2023 at 5:17 am

THANK YOU! Get the junk off the counter everyone! Have you ever seen the real estate websites and people’s kitchens have a dozen appliances on the counter…and they aren’t even pretty ones! Also, when they have disorganized open pantry shelves, with mismatched half-full bags and boxes of everything under the sun!? Get a nice armoire…it takes up the same footprint…and add some matching containers of all sizes to organize it!

  40. Michele Nazareno on February 1, 2023 at 5:17 am

Thank you, Valentina. You’ve added joy to my life again and in our kitchen with your wonderful, creative, fresh ideas. Goodbye to those foamy utilitarian kitchen mats I used to have 🙂 I know there’s something off with having those, and you just pointed it out.

  41. Elizabeth Villegas on February 1, 2023 at 5:18 am

I love your non cluttered, clean look kitchen. There is a sense of calmness…. every time I see it it’s inviting me in ❤️
I would love to see a video on furniture placement and decor of a dining/ livingroom combo plain rectangle of a room.

  42. Courtney McDougall on February 1, 2023 at 5:18 am

Hi Valentina! Love your channel! I have a conundrum I am struggling with – I have 21 foot ceilings and the wall by my kitchen/dining room is completely empty and white – it’s very intimidating! Would love to hear some suggestions – I live in an industrial loft so a lot of blacks, whites, leather, metals for reference 🙂

  43. Mary Heller on February 1, 2023 at 5:20 am

I LOVE having a clean counter and an uncluttered kitchen. I have my Nespresso machine, also hiding an outlet. I have a cutting board and a framed print of Half Moon Bay covering a couple other outlets. Then I have a really pretty magnetic knife block with these knives that, honestly, they look sculptural, and that’s covering another outlet.
Cookbooks are another tip of yours that I love. I have one on my island right now.

  44. Kim Carpenter on February 1, 2023 at 5:21 am

I have a good size sunroom going up I would like style ideas for something like that.

  45. Debbie Watson on February 1, 2023 at 5:22 am

I’m having to stage my home in order to put it on the market. I’m repainting all the inside with flat Alabaster & trim in semi gloss white. The outside siding was just done a year ago & is painted in a very dark charcoal navy. So any and all staging suggestions would be great. I’m having to replace many decor items, end tables, bedding, pillows, etc so I get caught up in wanting to decorate vs stage. Maybe a video on those differences would help more than just myself:) we built a climate controlled shed to hold excess furniture & boxes of things I’m not getting rid of just yet plus massive declutter & garage sale. We must live in this home until it’s sold & it’s at a high price point due to the acreage, big barn & dog kennel with an 1800 sf apt. I’m trying hard to have it ready for the summer market. So tips & how I can get this all done in a few months would be much a obliged! And if you’d be interested in filming in TX, bring the crew & let’s get this party started!😂😂😂 otherwise. Keep me posted on any upcoming videos that might help! I started watching about a month ago & have my real estate DIL watching plus my daughter that likes to changeover her decor every quarter. She’s also a very high end hospitality trained person managing dinners for the Supreme Court, Hilary Clinton, other stars etc. she helps me a lot. Amazing eye for decor!

  46. Lorie G on February 1, 2023 at 5:22 am

You inspired me. I got up and reorganized my kitchen so that all the plug outlets are covered. It looks better! Thank you!

  47. RoxAnne Findlay on February 1, 2023 at 5:22 am

I love a rug in the kitchen. I just purchased a Ruggable runner for our condo galley style kitchen with a lovely thicker backing. Looks beautiful and feels luxurious under foot .

  48. Janet on February 1, 2023 at 5:23 am

How do you keep art in a kitchen clean especially over the stove or on a counter?

  49. Dannika Amft on February 1, 2023 at 5:24 am

Some of y’all… Things not out on the counter doesn’t always equal not cooking. I barely use my microwave because I prefer reheating on the stove/in the oven. I would rather use that space for food preparation and laying down my cutting boards. On that note though, if you prefer to have things out because you use them often all the power to you, but don’t dunk on someone else’s lifestyle and assume they don’t cook just because they don’t have 1000 things out on their countertop.

  50. Andrea on February 1, 2023 at 5:25 am

I love the idea of putting a table lamp on the counter. Valentina, your ideas are wonderful!
