So sad this new generation doesn’t know the difference between baking soda and baking powder. Things that the generation before used everyday for intended purposes. Those kids are about to be so screwed when they actually have to feed themselves. Those days are coming fast.
Do you need to coat them up after drying to prevent scratches and cracking in the future?
Has anyone done this with Fusion Mineral Paint?
Am I weird for liking the baking soda one? I liked the clunky texture 👀
Sis! You give me life doing this vid. Thank you for taking the time ❤
Hi MaCenna, would like your opinion…how do you think this would work on laminate furniture? Do you think it would have trouble sticking or scratch easliy?
Awesome Awesome Awesome!
Ur baking powder is made to make your biscuits rise so it was raising
Love that rust colored vase.
first of all, you’re very successful. I want to ask, have there been any fading or abrasion on the paints you made?
They looked better before being painted.
✅
All great techniques 👍🏾
is your dogs tail docked!!!?
How about corn meal?
OMG 😱 I’m loving your channel!!!
I can hardly wait to try it myself
This was so helpful ☺️
How did you do the bronze???
Do you seal the item with something like modge podge?
Great experiments! MaCenna, Waverly chalkpaint with baking soda works perfect! I do it all the time on projects like this. Chalk paint is already thick and more heavy bodied and it covers well but with the baking soda it works fab!
Very nice
Im sorry but i think i missed the bronze. Did you use a metallic?
The colossal grey incidentally boast because body precisely contain worth a gamy drop. depressed, chubby half-brother
Can I use this technique on plastic planters?
Ommmg look how your little fluff baby pops up behind you! 😭😭😍😍😍😍♥️
This has to by far my favourite clip so far for diy. Keep up the good work girl, keep em commin 😁😁
WOW!!! Who knew, they all came out beautiful even the one with the pink see through….it looked intentional. Nicely done!!!
Instead of paints. Try mica powder. Comes in lots of colors. Even metallics. 😀With a lil water or oil.
You are so cute. This video was fun! Thank you!
So informative! I cant wait til we open back up here in aus so i can go to the oppy! (Thrift shop)
I love these. Can you seal these with a clear coat???
I like the black and the bronze.
That was very well done and a great, what not to do. Sooo very helpful!! Question, what colors did you use for the red-orange vase?
Your reaction when you realize that baking powder has that reaction because of its very nature. Then when you tried cornstarch you were still traumatized from the baking powder incident lol
Can we use plastic as well?
Love this trial and error video!!!
Did you clean them with alcohol? It really makes a difference.
Why you just ruined the beauty of those thrift store bases
Lindoss seu trabalho amei fiquei apaixonada bj
too talkative, I cut the sound…trop bavarde, je coupe le son…ça va mieux. Bonne idée de relooking.
👍🏻💫🌹
I kinda doubt I’ll get an answer now, but I’ll ask anyway! I literally just bought the exact vase you did, the red one.. can you tell me what you used for that one? Was it the baking soda??
the difference between baking soda and baking powder is – when cooking with baking SODA you need an ACID in the recipe – lemon juice for example, to ACTIVATE the reaction which causes your mixture to rise. Baking POWDER already had an ACID incorporated into the mixture which ACTIVATES WHEN COMBINED WITH LIQUID – which is why your BAKING POWDER mix started to rise and harden (Im not a smarty pants, its just I wanted to make a mug cake earlier in the week but only had soda and the recipe said powder – so I googled it to see if they are transferable – they aren’t, SODA needs an acid in the recipe, end of)
Wow so good very nice lot’s of ❤ from india🇮🇳.
These are exquisite, thank you for sharing. I also like the baking powder texture and think a little water to thin it out would’ve worked just fine, especially on the very dimpled pink one. Baking powder cause bread to rise therefore it should probably be a bit thinner before application allowing it to process as it dried while on the item.
LOL I didn’t even notice the dog there at first and it caught me by surprise
Beautiful thanks so much and regards from South Africa 💫
great job
Can this be done on wood ?
love this!! Question: if you wash them after a while, will the color/material fell out?
