I came to see a video of how to use this tool to remove flooring, and the video is of the exact same flooring I’m trying to remove! I guess it’ll work!
Instead of buying that special blade, I’m going to grind the teeth off of a dull blade and see if that works.
How do you get rid of the glue on the floor?
Not blocking the soil pipe? Good video otherwise
Be sure to use a scraper tool head….totally transforms the utility of the tool.
Been looking for tips how to remove this. I have this tool never thought of using it. And you took me to the store to see what I need exactly. I need specs like this
This worked like a charm!!!
Did u use the standard cutting tool to remove the flooring?
gr8 idea!!!! thx!!!
Omg! Loved the video soooo simple. I’m getting that handy dandy tool….Thank you!
Or just add more vinyl onto the existing floor to make it have 3 lares lol oviously previous owner didn’t have one of though tools
Is trying to be funny, the new cool
Hi, im having heck of a time getting a vintage linoleum floor up. It has black tar paper behind it and nails all over. What do you recommend?
I love watching this series! I live in an apartment in the capital, my dream is to be able to get a house that needa this type of fixing. I get so much energy when I watch you do it.
Harbor freight 20$ no added extras. 40 $ with accessories. 20% off coupons makes it eight bucks less as well……..
*We are replacing the subfloor in our home **MyBest.Tools** and this tool has proved to be invaluable. So many different uses. Cutting away boards in tight places, cutting water pipes to name a few. We love Dewalt tools in general, but have really enjoyed the flexibility and durability of this multitool.*
Just for the record, Harbor Freight carries these tools and the bits for far less than other name brands. However, as with most things from HFT, you are substituting the cost for some of the quality. Great for the part time DIYers though!
Does nobody care about asbestos?
Extremely helpful video thank you for the tip I will get a multi tool it sure beats hammer and chisel. Funny video 2 made my day!😄
Just cut into smaller strips about 100 mill and rip it up with your hands. It will take 10 minutes. I’m all for working smarter and not harder but time is money.
Removing old lino but oscillating tool doesn’t do it alone. Need to add heat to remove all that extra glue. Still much easier than just a scrapper, couldn’t budge the stuff
Idiot
How do you deal with stubborn leftover paperback from the vinyl?
I currently have a dilema. I have very old linoleum under the carpet I ripped out of our hallway that I plan to put lvp flooring into. I started to remove a little piece of the linoleum by the cold air return for furnace and a little piece by a bedroom door to peek at the subfloor. Subfloor looks good from what I peeked at and what I see from underneath in the basement. I made a call to a friend who is a carpenter and he was concerned about asbestos in the 1960 installed linoleum. I patched in some linoleum I found into where I checked the subfloor. I am now leaning towards leaving the old linoleum and putting underlayment and flooring over it. My friend is quite adement about the asbestos issue. I have a Makita oscillating tool with the sharp smooth blade but I don’t know.
Blow torch works well…but not on wood..I would think
Brilliant for cutting copper pipe where it’s too tight to get a standard cutting tool around, even better for plasterboard cutouts way neater than standard plasterboard saw. Yep love my multi tool too, and accessories are far cheaper on eBay!
Yeah…kick ass!
Before uplifting any Flooring check first if it not asbestos under..
Did anyone else find one of his videos randomly and then watched them all? Lol great work !
I’m in the process of doing this right now to a large spare bedroom. What a god damned nightmare. I am using a multi-tool and it’s helped a lot, but man…just shoot me.
Use HEAT!
In this video you seem to be leaving stripes of that glue behind. That’s the most difficult part.. does the tool handle that too?
*Love this **MyBest.Tools** have the original dremel oscillating tool but it’s corded which is fine in many instances but this is so versatile. Must have for any tool monger like me.*
Doing this to my kitchen and damn, even with the multi-tool, it’s a bi*** to remove 😭
Hell yes!!!! Thank you!!!!
Is that Greg Brady?
Thanks for the video. This helped me a lot! Made my removal much easier.
Watched this video on Saturday and removed the vinyl flooring in our master bathroom on Monday, so fast and glad I looked before I did what I’ve done in the past. If you don’t have this tool by it!!!!
This video is a life saver, I was faced with this problem, the lino is glued to within an inch of its life, I was trying to do it with a scraper, now I will get one of these, funny thing to I am also putting down grey hexagonal tiles, they look really good, thankyou for this video.
Guess what canadian tier has it for $99.00 instead of 189.00 on Amazon. I suggest looking at local stores before you order. Thanks for the video
I want one.. 😉
Will this tool remove lino that’s glued on to stair’s for year’s please
Concrete Counter top. AN YES I AM GETTING SOLID HARDWOOD FLOOR . Great TIMING
Good job
Great video Thank you. I noticed 2 links for tools. Does the multiple tool packages cover the floor scraper?
your teeth are distracting and abnormally white
Which blade did you get to use on the vinyl as u didn’t say???
