I FINALLY have my new shoe wall finished. This was SO easy to do and turned out so so well…so I figured I’d share a very quick video with all the details. Erica, have you considered doing what you did with the IKEA Malmo chest? You trimmed it with gold tape. I think it would really make it look like a showpiece.

Love love love this video! Maybe, don’t t put a shelf on the bottom and just put a rail to hang your boots on. Then add a shelf at the top for your bags…

I don’t have NEARLY as many shoes as you do, but I have been straight. up. AGONIZING. about how to store them (our closet is small) in an aesthetically pleasing way that wouldn’t hinder access to the clothes in the closet. This will actually empty about 1/4 of our closet space AND give me a kind of "art piece" of shoes to display on a bit of wall that’s been empty since we moved in! Thanks so much! Lifesaver!

second: i think like u said: top maybe 2 shelves put purses, middle one out flowers and cute stuff like pictures and candles, and bottom ones ur shoes
u also have a lot of shoes so maybe display the ones for the season? I just find seeing shoes up there esp dark boots not esthetically pleasing

A few years ago I bought a big shelf with 4 shelves imgs.love/JShelfBedroom and had 2 bottom drawers, I just bought this shelf which had shorter shelves but put it right next to the other shelf and it matches it perfectly!!

This looks great. I was hoping to see the shelves put up to see if it’s something I could do or not. You could put another shelf on the bottom and put your flats there and it wouldn’t even necessarily have to be a foot down from the bottom shelf. Can’t wait to see your bags.
The wall your shelves are on is it plasterboard or brick? I don’t want my wall collapsing if I do this!
