  4. Wyldeman Ironworx on January 21, 2023 at 3:49 am

I bet a soft bristle tooth brush would have done wonders on that last sign.

  5. mark bainton on January 21, 2023 at 3:49 am

I tried using acrylic paint but it left an outline is that because of the type of paint

You have NO IDEA how many ideas the going via hiking round is giving me. I was born with the gift for the arts and I don’t say that to brag at all, but that would have been a DOPE (cool for those of you there were not in NYC in the 90s) Jupiter relief style painting. Dang it! I pray that I will be blessed enough to find a round for myself.

  9. Stephen Haskett on January 21, 2023 at 3:55 am

Both signs turned out amazing I do like the second one best awesome job Thank you

That last sign was great even if it took way longer than you would have liked.

  12. Bronwyn Harford on January 21, 2023 at 3:58 am

This is fantastic. I’m wondering can this same process be done on metal? I’m looking to make an outdoor sign for my partners shed

Love the cool junk sign 17:20

  16. Kim Zacharias on January 21, 2023 at 4:02 am

I like the way the cool junk turned out. I think the graphic looking pristine on the worn out board is too perfect. I like the distressed graphics; they fit better with the background.

I’m having a bite of trouble getting my letters as big as you have in this video. Any suggestions or hints you can pass on…please.

I just found your channel! I love your signs and decorative cutting boards! Can’t wait to watch more videos and learn to make some of these things!

  19. Robert Hardy on January 21, 2023 at 4:07 am

Use a nail brush or small scrubbing brush for the grooves.

Thanks for the videos. I always have trouble removing the paper without removing the image. 🥴
I have watched 2 videos where you use the wax before applying the paint. Maybe it is me but I don’t see how the wax is preventing the paint from sticking.

Hi Deidra. Just come across your wonderful channel from this side of the pond, Bolton, Lancashire, UK. I’m a professional artist doing painting demonstrations across the care sector here but lost my self employed title due to the impact of Covid-19 restrictions. This in effect, destroyed my confidence over the last 12 months. I lost the will to paint and my creative juices stopped flowing. I recently got motivated by a very good ex art teacher who had set up a gallery and invited me to join their network, registered with the charity and became gallery manager. I still couldn’t find the will to paint though but I really enjoy this new experience. As we developed the gallery, I found lots of old pallets which kind of inspired me to look differently at art. I began cutting them, used my old acrylic paints to colour them which took me in a new direction. I didn’t quite know what to do further so I searched on line and came across your bubbly, live enthusiastic touch. I’ve completely turned a corner and with your experience and knowledge, have been combining my art with wood. I find you totally engaging and will be replicating many of your expert guidance as I continue to build. Thank you so much for your help and truly inspiring me. I will show you one or two pieces of my recent work… XX

  25. karen fal on January 21, 2023 at 4:15 am

Love how the glue makes it crackle. I’m kinda OCD so I would’ve had the graphic perpendicular with the lines in the wood but great idea!

  26. Rita Garand on January 21, 2023 at 4:16 am

You said that you prefer white for the background. Would I be able to paint the background black with white lettering?

  27. michelle laesch on January 21, 2023 at 4:16 am

love this! you made the print out extra large and then put it down, do you seperate each word and print seperately?

  28. nutsforthebeach on January 21, 2023 at 4:16 am

Hi Deidre…I recall you saying that you purchase sanding blocks in bulk from Amazon. I’ve clicked on the link to your Amazon store however there’s an error. Would you please copy/paste the Amazon Canada link in your reply? Thank you

  30. don soto on January 21, 2023 at 4:18 am

I just came across your channel and am very interested to try using my printer to do a sign. I did do the round already. I used the School Glue technique! For my first time it turned out great! My question is, can you use other colors on the printer…..such as red and not black?

  31. MOHAMMAD ARIF KHAN on January 21, 2023 at 4:19 am

Really I love it, unaware this technique

  39. Sonia Banwell on January 21, 2023 at 4:29 am

Hi Deidre, I noticed the Min Wax water based top coat you used is a clear gloss. My question is that the sign does not appear glossy in the video is it indeed glossy or is this a flatish finish? Love the sign and tutorial, much thanks!

  40. Jasmine Malakin on January 21, 2023 at 4:30 am

Wow these are amazing! I am a new decoupage crafter and I am still learning how to make wood and mason jar crafts. What is the purpose of the "wax" you use after painting? And how were you able to get the "crackle" effect on your 2nd project? Does that just naturally happen with Elmer’s and chalk paint? Or did I miss a step? Thank you for your creativity and your tutorials, so unique and beautiful 😍

  41. Harry Williamson on January 21, 2023 at 4:30 am

Just found your channel, can you transfer graphics to slate .
Oh greetings from Carrickfergus NI 🇬🇧

  42. Mimi Sisario on January 21, 2023 at 4:31 am

    Love love

  43. Bonnie Morris on January 21, 2023 at 4:32 am

I like how you aged the sign but wouldn’t the letters be aged too, I mean the lettering is too stark of a contrast , I wish you could somehow distress the wording , that would make it look more authentic. Just an opinion, not a judgement .

  44. Shelley Smith on January 21, 2023 at 4:34 am

How would you do this on a black background with white letters?

  45. Elsieann Daniels on January 21, 2023 at 4:34 am

Im a simi new sub and ive watched your transfers on your signs and i do really like them but tge lettering just stands out sort of bolder then the rest of the sign. Is there a way to make the lettering fainter and a bit more weathered or rustic.

  46. Stefan V on January 21, 2023 at 4:35 am

LOVE it! Thank you for the tutorial. Have you done other font colors other than black? Say, red as an example for Christmas signs?

  47. Kimberly Middaugh on January 21, 2023 at 4:36 am

What is the best printer to use

  48. West wonders on January 21, 2023 at 4:37 am

Great stuff i love all the signs. Do you have a store. I would love to see how yiu display your stuff for sale.

  49. marsha ray on January 21, 2023 at 4:38 am

Have you ever tried using a soft toothbrush in the grooves? I don’t have a laser printer, so I’ve never used this technique. Just curious!

    That’s awesome!!!
