In February of 2022, in search of the ultimate discomfort in van life, I decided to challenge myself with driving my 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 4×4 all the way to the frozen Arctic Ocean in the middle of winter. I originally released a series of 3 videos documenting my travels. This is the FULL DOCUMENTARY film of my travels to see if it is ACTUALLY possible to live in my van in these extreme winter conditions. Now this is not simply driving my van from one comfortable warm hotel to the next… This is LIVING in my van during my trek to the Arctic. Is it possible to survive the extreme winter temperatures of the frozen arctic tundra?
Dude, you’re awesome! This is literally the Van life version of Ice Road Truckers! The Discovery channel should strike up a broadcast distribution deal with you!
That’s God’s county beautiful.
This was breathtaking, truly. What an experience! Also this is incredibly random, but you kind of look like Norman Reedus to me.
Oohoo ho ho i am going crazy!!
Inspiring
Awesome adventure keep up the content I’ll keep watching. 😎
Thank you, thank you. This was amazing. You did it right. I was fortunate to be able to travel north camping across Canada and Alaska but in summer! Now I am an eighty year old great grandmother with my wonderful memories and you were able to bring them to me again! All I can say is you are quite the man. And thank you again.
Seri said it’s 73 degrees outside at 10 pm here. Not quite Yukon.
Loved the video. You also need to check out @VanLifePlus and see how Matt and his cats Penny and Stella live their winter van life in Canada https://youtu.be/ZZXZBPDjsCE
How do you fly a drone , and drive a van , at the same time ??
This film is the best doc. Thanks 💯💯a lot.
That drink is called cuba libre
A small note, Thanks for taking care of that dog a lot of animals lovers out there… Cool video!
Epic!! Congrats for crossing off something on your to-do list! But also for doing more with less than many. Simply a great trip.
Do you have the S&B 47 gallon fuel tank for your Sprinter? Or did you carry extra diesel somehow?
Had to stop watching 20 mins in because the amount of ads was just ridiculous. Literally every 2 minutes with 2x 20 second ads!! I know that’s how they generate money if not subscribed but surely that many is wrong! Anyone else found this with YouTube at the moment? Shame because video is excellent and I would of enjoyed watching the whole thing but ads just killed it for me
My inspiration!!!
Absolutely outstanding journey, physically, mentally and videography. I commend you 👏🏽
Do u put diesel additive in ? I sure hope so!
What an amazing piece of film truly remarkable, congrats on making it all the way up there, big shout out from the uk

Absolutely amazing and inspiring! Thank you for sharing this wonderful achievement with us!!!
What an amazing filmmaker this man is. Over the years watching this man’s journey has been amazing.
That puppy was adorable and your timelapse was incredible. I could watch hours of just that alone. Keep on Truckin
Very dangerous long trek
Love your vids Chad. I always carry cash on any trip I take, have been caught out before. Eftpos machines down, buying firewood, fuel, parts, food, beer etc the more remote the more important. Such a great video
One of your best journeys and videos! Safe travels! Loved it!
Flat boring personality! How can anyone behave like this on such an adventure? Sad!
Thank you for sharing this journey with us. It’s truly one of the best pieces of content I’ve seen in a while!
This is the second time I have watched this journey to the arctic ocean. I must say I enjoyed it just as much the second time as I did the first time. The northern. lights are breathtaking!!Where to next? I’m ready for another journey.
Te admiro, me encantan tus videos. Felicitaciones. Saludos desde Uruguay.
wow!!!!!!
You are awesome man ,hats off to you 🫡, Love from India 🇮🇳.
Whose puppy is that ❤
Incredible!!!
1 useful tip…if going into another country, exchange at the bank. Banks give you current a better deal. Learned while in Germany 33 yrs ago
Haven’t even seen the whole video and I got to say wow dude. I am straight up jealous.
Oh man! I can fuck up a whole box of Mac n cheese! NO SHAME! I make sure to get every last drop of cheese in that pot too 😂 that was probably my favorite meal on this trip.
That great, but the cost of a Mercedes 4×4 Van 🚐 I can’t afford. Does someone else do the overhead flying in air filming… you should narrate that in on how that’s happening. There’s a I could ask, I took off my 83 Honda hatchback and slept in the frt seat, then drive to the mountains back in 1995…96…7 I’d love to travel like that again before I run out time.
It feel me like i am travelling with you & thinking that this video will never end so many things to say but its far better than the rubbish web series & movies every minute worth to watch

Off to bed now champion… enjoy your week mate :))
Wow you are awesome and brave next time take me with you what wonderful scenery is so pretty and so cold but you did it
I dont know that I could handle temps that cold. I’m in Northern Maryland and the coldest I’ve seen it was -20 f. Living in a r.v. temps like that can be a challenge. It is normal for winter temps arround here to get zero especially with the wind chill. And even that is to cold for me especially now that I’m past my 30s. Merino wool is becoming my wardrobe. Much love ❤️ 🙏also I agree with others your work is better than the history Channel. Absolutely top notch video skills
Crying in my six now I know what in means places are BEUTIFULL hand down .
