I love the wallpaper idea. What a difference it makes! As you were applying it I was thinking a shelf would be nice, and then you did it! Looks great! Good job! I hope you don’t mind one little critique… I don’t think the plant stand looks right there. I think it would look better on the floor, maybe underneath the other mirror. Or just the plant on the shelf without the stand. Otherwise it’s perfect. Well done! I also love the bench underneath the window as a window seat. Superb!

I love your style beautiful I had a bathroom that I did the red toil wallpaper it was a small half bathroom it looks beautiful but I had to move away from that house and wow I’ll never forget it it’s a beautiful paper

  4. Gi Daniels on August 21, 2022 at 4:37 am

Looks good. I wallpapered once, never again. I like to make changes all the time, too much of a hassel to remove.

  5. angela hull on August 21, 2022 at 4:37 am

    Beautiful as always!

  7. Donna Neal on August 21, 2022 at 4:38 am

I so love what you did with that. Just Beautiful!! I hope you don’t get rid of that nook in your wall, that is personality for your home!!

When my husband and I bought our house in 1989 we put wallpaper in almost every room. In the last few years we have taken it down in every room but 1 and that is a miserable job. Love this makeover, I love your decorating style.

  9. Sandy Taylor on August 21, 2022 at 4:43 am

Perfect! I don’t think I’d ever take down that wallpaper. ❤️

  10. Jessie Slay on August 21, 2022 at 4:43 am

Looks very nice Monica. I liked what you had previously as well.Esp the mirror with the wreath. Thought that was so pretty.

  11. Buffy Summers on August 21, 2022 at 4:43 am

What great ideas and I LOVE the toile wallpaper. I also thought since you already have a mirror so close to your new wall, that a beautiful piece of art or tapestry would look very dramatic in the cut out. Great job!🙂💕🌷

  12. Karin Day on August 21, 2022 at 4:46 am

So beautiful! I love your style!
Walls are often wonkie – to get an exact shelf edge – put the shelf (or scrap piece of wood or cardboard) in the space and place a metal washer against the wall on top of the shelf- run the washer against the wall, marking with a pencil point in the washer hole -the line will be the exact contour of the wall
    Love the pup too 😊

I noticed some gaps in your shelf can you chalk that or put tiny wood trim to hide that .

  16. Laurie Crose on August 21, 2022 at 4:50 am

    Beautiful proyect Mónica, congratulacion

  21. Annette Arties on August 21, 2022 at 4:54 am

The entryway turned out nice, I think you should caulk around the shelf. Metal stand too tall, and mirror does not go with the space. I would have painted mirror same color of lower wall and removed top portion. Sorry. You always do a excellent job. 🤗🤗

  22. Elizabeth Healey on August 21, 2022 at 4:58 am

The wallpaper look beautiful, and entryway look gorgeous . You husband did good job ,to building that beautiful bench I love . 💯👏👏👍

I love this! I too love toile, especially fabrics. Wallpaper is such a finished look. Hope you leave it up! How do you keep white areas so clean with children?

  27. Susan Andrews on August 21, 2022 at 5:03 am

Hello Monica. Looks very nice. I’m not a wallpaper person at all. But it looks nice in a small area.

  28. Janice Jubach on August 21, 2022 at 5:04 am

Love the entryway! Adding the wallpaper makes such a difference.

  30. Thrifty Momma on August 21, 2022 at 5:05 am

That entryway is absolutely gorgeous I love your style . I’m stuck in between boho French country we live in a rental that was build in 1979 and of course we can’t paint the ugly orange stained trim I just don’t know how to decorate around this .

  31. Francene Komsa on August 21, 2022 at 5:07 am

Lovely transformation. I love the wall paper and the wire planter. I might try a toile fabric on the bench by the window and the stool in the entryway. You really have a talent for making your house a warm , welcoming home.

  32. Tracy L on August 21, 2022 at 5:08 am

I love it! That toile wallpaper is the perfect touch! I used to hang wallpaper back in the day—both traditional and prepasted. Without going into a lot of detail, I’d recommend taking a class at Home Depot because there’s a lot of prep, especially with the plain paper that you have to mix the glue for. I love the shelf as well. Beautiful!

  33. Teresa Hatfield on August 21, 2022 at 5:08 am

Monica. Your entryway looks so beautiful. It really looks nice and improves the look of your home. It looks larger to me. It looks very nice. Thank you for showing your home to us. You have the best ideas.

  34. Wobblestone Cottage on August 21, 2022 at 5:09 am

Looks so much fresher, Monica. I love the toile pattern you chose! I like to wallpaper, but haven’t done it in several years. 👍🏼🤗

  35. Adela Talamantes on August 21, 2022 at 5:10 am

Great idea 💡, I like the paper wall Monica 🙂

  36. Elizabeth on August 21, 2022 at 5:10 am

I wouldn’t mess with that wall, the shelf is perfect! I’d add a little wreath on the mirror 😊

  37. Karen King on August 21, 2022 at 5:11 am

The entry area is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your experience with the wallpaper and for sharing the tips that you learned along the way. I always look forward to your videos and seeing your lovely home. Thank you for sharing and providing encouragement.

  38. Linda Thompson on August 21, 2022 at 5:14 am

Love how it turned out. If you run a bead of calk around the shelf, it will cover the seam or small gaps but still be easy to remove if you change your decor. Perfect wallpaper choice for your home.

  39. Shawna Morin on August 21, 2022 at 5:17 am

This came out so beautiful, loved the wallpaper and how you decorated!

  40. Annette Biering on August 21, 2022 at 5:17 am

Up until 2003 we hung many rolls of wallpaper in our married lives. Definitely soak and put paste up. You put the wrong sides of the paper together to soak the paste for few minutes, then hang and we always trimmed after we hung it. Yours looks beautiful and love how it lightened up the area😁. I would suggest installing the shelf first, then fill your cracks, paint and then hang the wallpaper. Great job❤️❤️

  41. Dee Pestanio on August 21, 2022 at 5:18 am

The only type of wallpapering I’ve done was sticky paper on things. Lately I’ve wanted to try the real thing. Thanks for this, gives me an idea how. Looks so pretty! Hey Rocco🥰

  42. Isabel Massie on August 21, 2022 at 5:20 am

  43. Gayle Simper on August 21, 2022 at 5:22 am

  44. Ann M on August 21, 2022 at 5:22 am

  45. Victoria Bourgeois on August 21, 2022 at 5:23 am

I did several rooms in two homes in the 90’s and if is making a comeback, I won’t be participating, but you did a good job for your first time. Cheers

  46. dawnosunset1 on August 21, 2022 at 5:26 am

Hey Monica! Love how the entry way came out 😍 have you tried putting the green couch against the window and using the bench as an ottoman?

  47. Jeff Gogo on August 21, 2022 at 5:27 am

It looks great! I’ve wallpapered more times than I can remember, but never on the new textured walls, only on flat ones. The first time I wallpapered, I cut myself, electrocuted myself, and got glue all in my hair. They thought I was crazy when I did wallpapering again, but, since then, it’s been easy. I just recently took the paper down in my bathroom. It’s been up for about 15 years, so it was time for a change. I loved it though, it was a white, with pale powder blue toile. I’m going all white in there for a while. Wallpaper can change the whole look of a room, and your entryway looks gorgeous!

  49. Susan Newton on August 21, 2022 at 5:31 am

Gorgeous!!! I too have noticed how wallpaper seems to be making a comeback! They use it in Europe all the time especially in the United Kingdom! I have wanted to wallpaper one wall in my entryway for a while but was afraid to screw it up!!Lol 😂So glad I saw your video cause now I’m definitely going to do it!! Love the shelf also!!💜💜

  50. TexasStardust on August 21, 2022 at 5:31 am

That turned out so pretty…. I was thinking.. " that little corner area needs a chair…" lol. ..while I was watching this. Then you placed that little vanity stool.
I like that plant stand , ..( knowing myself, I’d probably paint it white or cream, lol. )…I might have to procure one of those!
I was thinking about that, as well. … ." I bet a pretty, tall plant thing , or two of them( in different sizes ) would look great by that mirror. "… 😉🙂 Too funny. Lol. How similar people are, with how thier creative process works, when it comes to decor. The bench looks nice in front of the window, fits right in. …but I’m sure you’ll be tweaking that area as well. … 😊🙂. I’m the same way , … I’ll move stuff around , leave it for a while, till I get another " Creative Burst ", 😉🙂😊. I think it’s good to not let ones surroundings get stagnant. Blessings, hope all is well in your corner of the World. 🙏🏻💜😊
