Great video for folks like us that are thinking about joining the RVing travel world and trying to figure out everything need to get before first trip out! Thanks for taking the time to do this for us!

  2. Lori Duncan on September 24, 2023 at 2:41 pm

We just ordered about $200+ worth of your suggestions as we are updating our rig essentials. Just bought a 2016 Class C Minnie Winnie 31 k. We had a travel trailer before but sold it a couple years ago. So glad we kept a lot of stuff, but couldnโ€™t find some of it. Oh well! When you buy an Rv, you donโ€™t just buy an Rv! Lol

THOSE WATER FILTERS ARE NOT ALWAYS CLEANING UR WATER!! UR TANK ALONG HOLDS GERMS THAT A FILTER CAN NOT CLEAN!! NVR DRINK CAMPSITE WATER, PERIOD!!!

  4. Brandon Shealy on September 24, 2023 at 2:42 pm

You are the best, man. Your demeanor is perfect for these types of videos. I truly enjoy watching them.

    Hilarious! ๐Ÿ˜‚
I think you were suppose to back in bud. Your lines wouldnโ€™t be in your front yard! Lol

  6. Colin K on September 24, 2023 at 2:45 pm

Great Video! Just bought my first RV and looking to get setup. Would it be better to have the filter off the regulator at the water hookup rather than hanging off the RV/90 degree connection?

  7. Michael Leonard on September 24, 2023 at 2:45 pm

Just wondering why you didn’t drive into your site ??

What length 30 amp extension cord do you have?

Why do people keep saying that about RV toilet paper? Are they investors in the company. A holding tank on an RV is not a septic tank. You empty your black tank into a septic tank. Professionals will tell you all you need is septic safe toilet paper. To pay two or three times more for RV toilet paper is a huge waste of money. Here’s a simple test for you. Get two 2 quart clear glass jars with lids. Add water to both. Put three sheets of toilet paper that is septic safe in one jar and three sheets of your RV toilet paper in the other. Close the lid on the jars. Shake each jar one at a time and see how long it takes for the paper to break down. Then tell me if the price is worth the difference. Professional tank cleaners say to use plenty of water when flushing and there will be no build up a regular tank flush will not resolve. I hold the pedal down and count to three (one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three) and then let go. Never had a problem and never had to get a professional to clean out my tank. Youtube has plenty of videos showing professional tank cleaners at work. Toilet paper has rarely been the issue and usually only because of the ratio of water to solids in the tank. They say they would be out of business if everyone would use enough water and not flush any thing other than toilet paper and human waste into the black tank.

    You parked the RV wrong
And if you park like that every where you go is going to be on the โ€œwrong sideโ€

  11. kevin reist on September 24, 2023 at 2:51 pm

Another item worth having is a sewer hose support. We went camping in Florida and they had an unexpected freeze. Our sewer hose had water sitting in it and it froze. The sewer hose support, when installed properly, guarantees your hose will drain so no freezing will occur.

  12. Brent S on September 24, 2023 at 2:51 pm

Aren’t you supposed to back in?

  13. JFoxman on September 24, 2023 at 2:51 pm

Great video. Question: Where do you store all your "must haves" & "nice to haves"?

  14. Charlie Ford on September 24, 2023 at 2:54 pm

    Just turn the rv around

  15. John Ridley on September 24, 2023 at 2:57 pm

@16:59 that’s a BOOK holder. Those ink on dead trees things that grandma used to use.

  16. Jaxgirl4ever on September 24, 2023 at 2:59 pm

Love the videos! Thanks for all the info. Keep โ€˜emโ€ coming!

  17. sherri weber on September 24, 2023 at 3:00 pm

Great video! Great tips on what and how use your must haves for the Rv. I love the fact how you know which hose to use for water. I would use white too! I heard if that Damprid from seeing commercials for it. Love your chairs and table and live that fire poker and wood poker. I love also the window cover with the screen. Thank you Mike and Susan. See you both soon! Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend. Travel safe.

  18. Janet Hultberg on September 24, 2023 at 3:02 pm

Thanks for all the great tips! Really enjoy your videos. Hey Suan can you send me the link for the window shield cover with screened side windows? I didn’t see it on the list below the video. thanks!

  19. JulieAnn Pilgrim on September 24, 2023 at 3:04 pm

How are the hookups on the wrong side? You didn’t back in. You created a problem. And you didn’t create just one problem. Now you have trip hazards. And you are contaminating your fresh water hose by having the filter on the wrong end.

  20. Alex Diamantopoulos on September 24, 2023 at 3:07 pm

  25. Lyne Greenough on September 24, 2023 at 3:16 pm

Hatchet. We never camp without one. Great for chopping up wood that you buy at the campsite as well as using it to bang in any kind of tent pegs. We also bring a tarp for shade and rain protection. We just moved from tent camping to a pop up and are looking to buy a travel trailer in about a year, but I canโ€™t see us ever camping without the hatchet and tarp. We also bought a canopy (our pop up doesnโ€™t have one) so we can set that up right outside our pop up; it goes over our kitchen area so we can cook, even in the rain, then we use the tarp over the picnic table so we have somewhere to sit outside if we donโ€™t want to just hang out under the canopy. We are also going to start bringing our clothes horse so we can hang up wet towels and dish cloths. We have usually just used rope, but the clothes horse needs replacing, so why not relegate it to camping?

Thanks for posting for the RV stuff; it is good information to know since we are hoping to move to a trailer next year!

  26. Skee Skee on September 24, 2023 at 3:17 pm

Thank you so much. We just bought our very first "old" 5th wheel that is in really good shape We really need to know all this stuff. We are learning but want to get set up the best we can before our first trip.

  27. Serg Size on September 24, 2023 at 3:18 pm

  38. Jenn's Travels on September 24, 2023 at 3:26 pm

Thanks so much for this video! This video helps a lot to know what to get for the basic essentials . My mom and I just purchased a Class C RV and pick it up this week. Canโ€™t wait. Here is to many RV adventures. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  39. Joshua cranford on September 24, 2023 at 3:27 pm

    But wait! Thereโ€™s more!!

  40. ZillaYT on September 24, 2023 at 3:27 pm

Why didn’t you just back into the lot so your connections are on the correct side? Also, it’d be interesting what the water pressure is AFTER the water filter, since it itself acts as a regulator.

  41. Melissa Jorgensen on September 24, 2023 at 3:28 pm

Just purchased my first TT. Im in learning everything I can mode. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

  42. BakaOppai on September 24, 2023 at 3:28 pm

The hookups are not on the wrong side, you pulled in the wrong way lol. There is no rule that says which way you have to park btw in any park i know of. I’ve parked backwards on purpose before for a better view.,

  43. Flibertyjibit on September 24, 2023 at 3:32 pm

Thank you. I learn so much from these videos. I am planning to go FT this summer for the first time at 60. Really looking forward to it!

You don’t need to use the expensive rv toilet paper. All that does when it brakes down is leave a sludge on the bottom of your black tank. Get ahold of a rv tank flusher and see all the gunk that comes out.

  46. Connie Boschert on September 24, 2023 at 3:33 pm

My husband I are looking at getting a used motorhome . IT will be a first RV for both of us. I have been a tent camper my whole life. I really appreciate your videos . IT’s very helpful. Great job Susan on finding the window cover .

  47. John Ridley on September 24, 2023 at 3:34 pm

Dang I have a first-aid kit when I go out walking around the neighborhood, and another in every car and motorcycle and one in my bicycling bag and hiking backpack. I guess people don’t keep fire extinguishers in their cars either. I’ve had to loan both (first aid kit and fire extinguisher) to people more than once.

  48. pappys productions on September 24, 2023 at 3:35 pm

That is such an awesome tale!

  49. Rich Giordano on September 24, 2023 at 3:40 pm

Filter should be on the other end of the hose to keep your hose clean

  50. Robin Nelson Cross on September 24, 2023 at 3:40 pm

Thank you very much for all the great information that you share!!
I’m just getting ready to start being a full time RV adventurer & I know absolutely nothing, so I appreciate everything little thing I can pick up & y’all are great!!! Thanks again๐Ÿ˜Š
