First Time Camping in a Tent! Garner State Park

☀ VLOG #119 – First Time Camping in a Tent at Garner State Park ☀

In today’s vlog we go tent camping for the very first time! We went to Garner State Park which is along the Frio River near Concan, Texas. We had soooo much fun swimming, fishing, and enjoying tent life! We have missed traveling SO much during this pandemic, but we found that going camping is a great solution. We got to go on a fun adventure, away from people, and very affordably. Hope y’all are staying safe! 🙂

Your tent camping videos are just as impressive as your campervan videos! I hope you’ll keep sharing your adventures, we didn’t find your channel until very recently and we are thinking of getting a scamp trailer which is slightly different than your campervan (even smaller than a van) but I’m certain we will learn much from your channel. I always admire individuals who find so much to do while camping without their bikes. You two look like you were having a blast out there and need not any bikes to provide adventures. Bravo! I spent most of my teenage years (60’s) in GSP. Spent a lot of time at the pavilion dancing on the "slick slab", which isn’t so slick anymore. Some of the best memories of my life. Check out my FB group page: Garner Park 60’s Style.

Does anyone know how deep the frio river gets in these areas? We’re not good swimmers so need info on parts where it’s more shallow?😅

Spent many summers on the Frio when I was a kid/teenager. Always stayed down the road at Criders. Garner was always a favorite to visit. Cool video.! Thanks.!!

I want to do this! Did you have to make reservations or call ahead of time?

The place where you walked from your tent to the river looked very familiar and I think that’s the area I stayed in with my nature class during my freshman year in like 2012
