Free Camping Eastern Tennessee Cherokee National Forest

Join Us As We Leave Rhea Springs and head for Citico Creek Dispersed Camping in the The Cherokee National Forest of Eastern Tennessee. Free Dispersed camping in the Cherokee National Forest’s Tellico Ranger District. No reservations. First come, first served. This is a great place to camp has several places along the creek side maybe 3 or 4 spots for 25 foot camper or rig, 2 spots with vault toilets there is a spring between 4and 5 no cell service. We ended up camping at the Jakes Best camp and paid just three dollars a night with our Access America The Beautiful Pass. Jakes Best has big camps with picnic tables, fire pits and vault toilets.

    #9 and #12 are my favorite! But if you go down to the split past 12 and turn left before the bridge, there are lots of good sites down there along the creek.

    Tennessee is such pretty state. I enjoy camping there. Can’t beat those campground prices, and very pretty sites. Sure enjoy watching Nebo checking things out and then hugging your shoulder.

    I’m in Loudon and usaully goto Citco to solo camp but, Im looking for a new solo camping site where i can spend 2-3 maybe even 4 days just by myself, any suggestions? obviously I’m planning this for the spring and dont get me wrong Citico is amazing im just looking for another place with alot of trails and stuff to hike but be able to come back to my camp every night. Gotta watch out for those Boogers though, they’re there

    those lifetime passes are really amazing for disabled or seniors, but even the regular passes seem like a really great deal… Love the national park camping areas, Woody… in 3 years when I retire we’ll definitely be taking advantage of the national park pass… 🙂 God bless you, buddy!!!

    Cherokee national forest is in believe it or not Cherokee north Carolina it’s the smokies in east tn Cherokee national ain’t no where near central Tennessee twat

    I camped a lot in 2016 and 17 at citico and spring city.

    Both places were above average and free.

    I hope to be there again in 2023. At this time i am on the island of leyte in the philippines.
