Hello
Are those real wood kitchen cabinet
Hi Kerri, I have a question about the gel stain you’re using… do you find that in the sunlight it still looks espresso color? I have espresso color kitchen cabinets and they need a bit of sprucing up. I tried the java gel stain and it looks fine until the sunshine in and looks very brown kind of a muddy medium brown and I really don’t like it. So now, looking at another gel stain please help! I was really wanting the original looking espresso even when the sunshines into the kitchen like the original stain finish I had
It’s gorgeous.Talk about skillful–you are dressed to party instead of "paint" clothes
I have a Oak finish and would also like to go Espresso…will this work for me
I want to say thank you for this upload, I love doing all types of crafts, home designing and DIY projects. You are an awesome teacher and now have a new subscriber. I also want to say I appreciate the way that you explain your DIYs, not only are you very upbeat and pleasant but also the fact that while you’re talking through your uploads you explain very well what you’re doing and why and a pet peeve of mine is when people are constantly saying uhh uhh or um um throughout their entire video which I didn’t hear you do one time. Thank you for that! And I look forward to watching more of your videos
I believe my kitchen cabinets are not wood (I don’t know what the are), so would a gel stain work on them? I absolutely love the espresso color. Thank you.
To the point below regarding a sealer, after gel stain is dry?
Thank you. Im doing my cabinets. What do I use to wipe cabinets off. There are some greasy and some light stripped from sun coming in..where do I get the gel stain?
Hi, I followed your instructions and paint my cabinet. Mine came out dark but beautiful. Thank you for your video.
Did you finish with a top coat?
What so you useto prep the cabinet? Never mind I found your previous replay! Krud Cutter it is! Thank you!!!
What do you suggest to change oak cabinets to a cherry wood? I see Old Masters has a beautiful Rich Mahagony, would that work alone? Thanks!!
I did not realize that my bathroom cabinets were not real wood, but this method still worked! However the paint brush and roller didn’t work the best for us – we ended up using socks and that gave a better texture. Thanks for making this video!
Do cabinets need to be sanded first?
Can I gel stain over previously regular stained cabinets??
So no polyurethane finish was needed? Iβve never heard of thatβ¦ hmmmm π€
Hey Kerri, love the channel! I am learning a lot. Would I be able to use gray gel stain on top of brand new white cabinets? Or would it be better to use a paint? I do not want the cabinets to look distressed. Thanks!
I see you painted the walls around the cabinets a grayish tone. What color was that?
Iβm transforming my kitchen into an industrial look. I love this idea!
does it matter what brand we use cause locally we cannot find this brand….
Hey kerri my wife and I love ur videos. We watched your transformation of the cabinets with the old masters dark walnut and provincial stain. Omg came out amazing. Question for u i have a little one with sticky Fingers and want to protect the finish from his hands what do u recommend as a top coat
Good Job, do you also do it as a job
and if you how much do you charge?
Did you seal the cabinets with any topcoat? We’re gonna tackle our kitchen cabinets soon .
Thank you Kerri! I wonder if polyurethane gel stain would work? Can anyone help me with this question please?
Do you have to wipe off the excess?
Can we do to vanished cabinets and change to white color?
Hi, I’m wanting to paint my oak color looking cabinets. Something very similar to your color. Can you tell me what you used also do I wipe them after I paint or just let it dry? Your help will be much appreciated!
are these laminate cabinets cant hear you
Looking to darken my garage wood cabinets nearest to black. Or this color if thatβs the darkest.
That is exactly the color I want to redo my kitchen cabinets they are wood and have an oak color to them already. I’m so excited to try this out! Thank you for this video β€
I have watched your video and show you using a brush… how do you get lines with applying the stain?
How did you prepare your cabinets before starting to put on the gel stain?
Is it possible to lighten cabinets this way?
Sound , can’t hear very well
my husband is a wood worker who builds furniture and he uses Gel stains quiet often and they do require a top coat or sealer otherwise the color can be rubbed off or chipped.
Why not just use their espresso mix?
Bad video!!! People who don’t know what they’re doing shouldn’t act like they do!
Terrible!
What brand of gel stain is yours and color please
Do you have to sand the cabinets before staining?
Your voice was very low hard to hear on this video but I am still going to watch much love from Cali.
I HOPE it really will be this easy for my kitchen with 29 doors, 13 drawers, plus frames. Looking at other methods with 3 prep/clean steps, 3 coats/wipe/sand, then 1-2 top coats…I’d be dead before its finished! Thanks for all the good tips. π
Beautiful job!!! Love this video. Every other video I’ve watched suggests sanding but yours. Of course I’d really like to not have to sand, but I want to make sure that my cabinets will still come out nice. Why do you believe that sanding is not necessary?
The video starts over midway through, and repeats. Love the tips, but you might want to check the edit. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my word! I have been putting off remodeling my kitchen because I thought doing the cabinets was going to take a long time. But seeing how quick, east, and affordable it is, I’m definitely going to tackle it sooner rather than later. Thank you so much!
Staining unfinished cabinets dark .
