We love ghost towns! Once we roadtripped on Route 66 and visited most of those in Arizona: an unforgettable experience! Yet we had no idea there are ghost towns so close to Yellowstone! We were there a few years ago and spent most of our time inside the park >.< But since Dany is a huuuuge fan of Yellowstone (the Kevin Costner series) she really wants to get back to Montana so we can definitely add some of these to our itinerary. Also… in Naples our grandmoms also did cook sausages like that in the oven: SO good!

I love ‘Open Air’ museums. One can learn so much from them especially when they are ‘manned’ like these ones. Great watch- thanks. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŽฅ ๐ŸŒท ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ

It is very interesting to see ghost towns. And nice to see people still using old school tools. Love to see those tools (since I didn’t live on those year) so interesting to see them in action. And also that basket making and home made ice cream. Now I need to get some ice cream myself. Got jealous with April’s ice cream. Haha. That is a very good side trip you did. And tThanks for sharing.

SUPER COOL! I realize "ghost town" doesn’t really imply ghosts, but we would love to visit a ghost town, we’re pretty big fans of anything paranormal. Wonder what that place would be like at night when all the people go home. There’s a cool ghost town that’s on the way from LA to Vegas that we’ve passed 100 times, but never stopped at, maybe we should have! So cool to see how they do the original metal smithing.

  13. Lucas World Travel on December 25, 2022 at 2:35 am

Those actors are great! They really make history interesting and come to life. Cool tour!

I would love to visit a western ghost town! I just love the design of western villages with the wooden buildings and the iconic font used for building signs like that post office. So this village is a replica, does that mean it was built purely for tourist purposes and was never a real village? It’s cool how its an interactive museum and you got to watch people creating metal tools and tin cutlery. That looks like a great ice cream!

Would you close the door to the toilet please? So we are able to mind our own business… I love the fact people still do the old handcraft to show you how it was in that time.

  16. Kita the Explorer on December 25, 2022 at 2:38 am

Phew Iโ€™m glad I didnโ€™t have to go to a school like that. Every time I see old schoolhouses Iโ€™m always thankful for advancements in time lol. This was a nice little getaway from Yellowstone.

  18. One Shot Adventures on December 25, 2022 at 2:44 am

Ghost town exploring! The restorations look great and cool to see all of the crafts. This reminds me that I was planning on visiting the old Sergio Leone Western sets in Spain when we are finally out of lockdown. Loved the toilet reviews haha

  19. Nghia Pham V84 on December 25, 2022 at 2:48 am

So quiet… So ghostly, haha. It seems that this place has many interesting things to learn from baking to (I don’t get it, what was he doing with that piece of metal/steel?)

  20. Snowbird Life on December 25, 2022 at 2:50 am

Looks so fun. Did you try to shape some metal? It was really cute that all characters are wearing costumes. Got to check it out once this pandemic is gone. How is the berries ice-cream tasted?

  21. Will Kupfer on December 25, 2022 at 2:50 am

As a teacher, I couldn’t imagine myself teaching in that tiny schoolhouse. Very interesting video. It is excellent that you get to see so many live demos of some of the processes from that period. Homemade ice cream, that is something I want to try.

Oh wow! We visited Garnet Ghost town and it was very cool, but abandoned – I like that they were actors in these.
