Handicap Van Living
Today we meet Carole who lives in a Ford Hightop van and is very glad she does. She started out in a minivan but after it died on her she was fortunate to find this handicap shuttle van and get a good deal on it. She is in the process of turning it into a wonderful little home where she can thrive and live life on her terms! It might very well be the ultimate Tiny Home on Wheels!!

Ha! I’ve lived in ABQ for three years and it SUX! I hate it and can’t wait to move!
Glad my state (nm) was good to you. You didn’t say the city. But I guess Rio Rancho. If so me an my family set that store up. Great people. Please come visit us again.
Very cool!
Kudos to your aunt, very nice
I’m looking for a van now. I have 10,000 and can’t find anything with decent mileage. It’s insane!
I want one…lol
"So I just told them that I’m a helpless single female, and that fixed all my problems!"
Good playbook. Good call.
So how are things going, have you finished doing van, do you have a YouTube channel??? Would love to follow you
I think these are the Vans to get.
Just me or did she look confused when Bob said that it was his next video? I kind of got a chuckle out of it I have to admit.
She’s awesome
What is Carole’s YouTube channel?
What a kind, grateful lady she is. Way to go Walmart and all those that assisted her. Her Aunt sounds like an awesome person too! She did great updating her niece’s home on wheels. I loved this video.
Thank you so much BOB for SHARING Carol’s story. She is just a very nice young lady. LOVE her high top van home. BLESS you BOTH. .👍❤❤🌷🌷
Nice
This van is definitely a great ‘blank slate’ to build on. And for the price… bonus.
Absolutely love this van!! So open. Carole seems to have such a wonderful spirit. Wishing all the best of travels
A lovely build! Awesome video, Bob.
Wow wonder what it looks like now
Great video, Bob! I luv the hightop! 🌺

my goodness. lots of good people in the world. thank GOD
Was your van wheelchair equiped when you first got it and were you require to get a cdl by chance?
Lovely van, lovely lady… Lovely Wal-Mart manager… Lovely video… Thanks for sharing Bob!
she seems very thankful and humble Best wishes
Another nice interview, Bob!
That said, I landed on this particular episode when searching for "living in wheelchair van" – which this obviously is. What I *want* to find, however, is how people with power wheelchairs can live in vans.
Any suggestions? Any chance you’ll do such an interview yourself?
I don’t need my chair full time, thankfully, but I do need to be able to schlepp it along with me. Right now I have a standard Town & Country wheelchair conversion minivan with a side entry and power ramp, and am racking my brains to try to figure out how I could actually live in it.
Sleek. I like the openness and lack of clutter!
Shout out to you Bob. Love your videos. This was a super nice lady you interviewed wish her all the luck in her journeys.
love the van.i want one..lol
I love it! Sure would like to see what it looks like now.
Carol just taught me you be broke down in a walmart parkinglot w/ a few grand and buy an amazing van super cheap, what a nice rig.. thanks for sharing;)
What a great find!
Nice
Carol, OH MY! what an improved upgrade, So happy for you!
Thanks for sharing. I was in a car accident in August and the car was totaled. I received payout. I then bought a disabled Ford extended van. Then it’s transmission went completely out. Struggling to get my life together and back on the road. I did have an RV but it has also had its troubles and trying to fix it up to sell. It was good to see the inside of this woman’s van. I am dreaming of making my home soon too.
I’d love to see her van now, as she was still finishing it during this interview/tour.
Not sure how far back this is, but Carol’s design is awesome and I really appreciated her pricing information. Another very helpful video! Thank You!
What happens in winter? Do all these people live in warm places? I’m from Canada.
thank you Walmart!!!!!!!!!! i always knew that there was a good reason that i always shop at walmart!!!!!!!!!! love y.all
Getting a high top cant wait.she is happy God Bless hed
Does anyone know if Carol has a YouTube page??
I have a van similar to Carole’s. I am curious if she put plywood over the actual van floor and if she did the carpet herself or if it was pre-existing when the van was purchased.
Thanks Carol for sharing this with us.
Former paratransit van. Nice.
Love this set-up.
I want a Gypsie style van.. That’s my taste…otherwise great job girl..
So what makes her handicapped?
Great plan and the wood she used is beautiful!
I would love to have this van
Thank god for good family members ( Aunts)!!!!
