Home decor trends I'm furious about.

Home decor trends I'm furious about.

Surgeon General’s Warning: This video may hurt your feelings.
One of the top comments I get is that I have anger problem. Let no one ever doubt that from this day forward. If you enjoy raging, let’s do it together. These are the design / decor trends that are STILL mainstream in 2022 (WHY) and that i’m STILL furious about.
With love and fury,
❤️

Never seen your videos before, no idea why you were in my recommended feed, and I’m really not into interior design at all! But YOU, Caroline, are my spirit animal 🤣🤣 I suddenly cannot get enough of your truth and attitude!!! 🤣

  2. suchanda chowdhury on January 7, 2023 at 3:22 am

I agreed to every single one of them!

  3. jackjack on January 7, 2023 at 3:22 am

    Empty box as decor! Um…NO

  6. Ivy Prentis on January 7, 2023 at 3:28 am

I agreed with everything before and after seeing the video. I’m on the right track ☺️

My parents did the couch at the wnd of the bed thing, but I don’t think it was to be a style, just because they had the TV with the PS4 there. But I don’t know how much they used it before we moved in with them and then my toddlers learn to use the couch to climb on the bed because the bed was too high for them to climb on alone. Got lots of use after we moved in!

I’m sorry but they always remind me of those… toys … yk
(At least the smaller ones i’ve seen my friends use)

    Designers are a weird bunch

  12. carmen coburn on January 7, 2023 at 3:33 am

Fun video! Not to worry, most of us don’t have enough room to put a full size sofa at the foot of our beds. As for a bunch of useless pillows, I totally agree! However, I do like the wooden beads and confess that I have two strands that make me happy so I’m keeping those. ❤️

I don’t know how I stumbled upon your channel but I think I love you.

  14. Sarah Anderson on January 7, 2023 at 3:34 am

I have no idea how the YouTube algorithm led me here, but BOY am I glad it did. You are HILARIOUS.

The dining room table is so funny , you can’t even see. I have to add my most recent trend that’s screamed 😱 at my so many times, as in your dining room table photos. The hanging pendant type light fixtures that look EXACTLY like an old hairdryer plastic lid that goes over your head. The cones or dome hanging over islands and dining tables.
    Yuk

  16. Sevenstar7ification on January 7, 2023 at 3:38 am

I feel as though the only thing that belongs at the end of your bed (furniture) is a hope chest…

  17. Kim D.C.E. on January 7, 2023 at 3:41 am

REAL FUnCTIONAL DESIGN! Yes! Thank you! ❤

  18. jj jj on January 7, 2023 at 3:46 am

i’m guilty i like the museum home. I hate clutter and meaningless stuff just to fill an empty space

  19. Leslie Bowden on January 7, 2023 at 3:47 am

    I agree 100%!
(I have none of these in my house 🤣)

  20. Marivel Gonzalez on January 7, 2023 at 3:48 am

You are my new best friend. I love your attitude.

  21. Sevenstar7ification on January 7, 2023 at 3:48 am

I don’t like a piece of furniture touching another piece; there has to be some sort of space!

  22. Erin Hammond on January 7, 2023 at 3:50 am

I legit would just watch you for the comedy. You are hilarious!!

  23. K B on January 7, 2023 at 3:50 am

Is it possible to find design help with not a lot of money? Can it be hourly or by room?

  24. Kento on January 7, 2023 at 3:53 am

I agree buying decorative artsy stuff from a big box store basically says "I live in a hotel room." Gay men are very guilty of this.

  25. Annette Brewer-VanHorn on January 7, 2023 at 3:53 am

I agree… full-size sofa is tacky but here’s what I did instead. Short of it being used as another bed: just go trundle in that case!) I have a medium entryway cushioned brown leather bench placed at the end of my Cal King bed. I LOVE IT. It is important to mention that our master suite walks out on the right side, via glass-paned double doors to a courtyard with a jacuzzi. We store towels and suits in it for convenience. I came to that conclusion after being sick of going all the way to the closet for a suit then to the linen closet for swim towels. We also have 3 dogs who all use it as a stepping stool or a bed. I loathe pet steps simply because they look hideous and my Rottie is too large and my chi-pin is tiny. Lol What I love is it’s functional, beautiful, I can sit down when changing into my suit since I have arthritis, it hides the storage bags under the bed while giving us more and lastly serves as our pillow and top blanket holder during the night. In Montana you layer! So out with the blanket rack. We worked on a budget for most of our stuff but I shop smart. We do have a large home (not wealthy, it needed much TLC) but things can clutter fast! It’s crazy how hard we make things for ourselfs. Thanks for your tips I love them!

  26. Ana Pantovic on January 7, 2023 at 3:53 am

Was just about to remind you of ten pillows on the bed, nine of which are to be removed every freakin’ night, and put back on every freakin’ morning…WHY??! 🤔🙃 Covered that! ✓
    No use – just NO!
Artistic functional and needed items – nice!
    "L’art pour l’art" –> art gallery!

Michael sleeps on the couch at the foot of the bed.

  28. Layla Eriksen on January 7, 2023 at 3:55 am

I watch your videos as much for a good belly laugh as for your excellent interior design advice. Delightful

  29. Kelsey Getz on January 7, 2023 at 3:55 am

“…and god is around the corner making eggs” 😂 🍳 19:24

  30. Goddybag4Lee on January 7, 2023 at 3:56 am

The beads can be good for the friend who is ADHD/Autism to fridget with. But only then….

  31. Maggie Jones on January 7, 2023 at 3:56 am

I totally agree about the sofa in front of the bed. It looks awful.

  32. Riham Osman on January 7, 2023 at 3:59 am

Omg I hate wooden beads so much. So pointless!

  33. thegraytergood on January 7, 2023 at 4:00 am

I would 100% take your recommendations for comfortable AND aesthetic sofas 🥹

  34. Voula Augustin on January 7, 2023 at 4:00 am

OMG you are my soul sister. I don’t know how I came across your channel but got me hooked within 5 minutes. YES wooden beads!! I thought I was the only one that couldnt figure out the purpose of them!! LOL I feel like we need to hang out and drink wine.

  35. kruimell83 on January 7, 2023 at 4:00 am

‘My question is, why?’ I have that with home decor trends in general 😄

  36. Molly Madison on January 7, 2023 at 4:02 am

    I f’ing love you! 😂😂😂😂

  37. Tiina Trimeloni on January 7, 2023 at 4:05 am

The thing that makers my nails to itch are the whole white homes. I really cannot believe that people love environment that kind of floats around you without anything for the eyes to crab onto.

  38. seriously? really? on January 7, 2023 at 4:05 am

The dark wood floors trend is crazy impractical!!! Every speck shows up so you can never walk by without carrying a duster and a broom and dustpan! Like wearing black and owning a golden retriever. Hair everywhere!

  39. pg maxtwo on January 7, 2023 at 4:05 am

    Ugh…barn doors. Hate them

  40. Terri Blue on January 7, 2023 at 4:11 am

    You make me 😂😂😂😂😂👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

  41. Jenske H. on January 7, 2023 at 4:11 am

Look, when you’re a billionaire, you don’t have time to hang out at home "just chill’n". You have to want to go work, a cosy home makes you want to stay home and share with other people 😂

  42. LaQuanda Thomas on January 7, 2023 at 4:11 am

Lmao at moved by “The Spirit” 😂😂😂😂 8:18

  43. Anna Barrett on January 7, 2023 at 4:12 am

Thank goodness I managed to dodge all of these things bc I value your opinion! Also thx for preventing me from getting the cloud couch — nobody should be buying such a large home piece for the sake of a trend!

  44. The Grateful Living on January 7, 2023 at 4:13 am

Thank you for throwing in the excessive throw pillows frustration! I was waiting with baited breath if it was on your list as it is on mine, and it was! I have the same response as you have about wooden beads…Why? and How dare you? and Why? You’re so funny.

  45. Leo on January 7, 2023 at 4:13 am

I didn’t make it to 5 mins… feel like getting a "cloud" sofa just so madame judge Caroline is guaranteed to come over. Then realised … I could just stop watching….

  46. seriously? really? on January 7, 2023 at 4:15 am

Item#1 You cannot justify throwing away good money for something that always looks like a teenager’s unmade bed. You can save money by just having your kid hang out in your living room with his stuff🥸

  47. Sevenstar7ification on January 7, 2023 at 4:15 am

If there is a vase, it needs real flowers. What’s up with fake flowers??!! If I go to touch a plant (I know I shouldn’t) it needs to be real. I makes me sad to touch fake folage.

  48. April Lopez Raffel on January 7, 2023 at 4:16 am

I like how humorous Caroline is and validated what I thought (i.e. those beads and chains are hideous, too many pillows on the bed, sofa at end of a big bed, large RH Cloud sofa, museum cold like room, and non-functional areas where the interior designer placed items on top of areas where you need to use). I love these videos:)

  49. Modern Alchemix on January 7, 2023 at 4:17 am

Omg, this video is so good!! 😂😂😂 And I’m not mad at what you brought up, we need to bring more intention to our space not just aesthetics

  50. Karin Solli on January 7, 2023 at 4:18 am

We have a wooden bead string on our surgery ward, the sizes are in increasing order, they are for finding you size when you need a testicular prosthesis. Very decorative 😉
