I wish people would stop installing staggered exactly the same every other row. It should be random. Looks so fake the way it’s shown.
Hi, just wondering why 5mm spacers weren’t used to measure-up for the last row at 4:50
Word of advice, pull of your carpet and see whats underneath before taking on this project, especially if your house is pre1980. Check for leveling. If your floor takes a significant amount of leveling then just carpet it. Ive been scraping up old carpet matt that has compressed to my subfloor for 5 days and took around 20 hours. After getting it up, i found an uneven wood subfloor, now im 200 extra dollars in on underlaymemt, and the heavy labor thats involved with that. Clicking boards together is easy, not the prep work.
How would I go from living room I to hallway? I’m nervous to do it myself but your video is great x
Waited with anticipation to see the long cut on narrow planks.Unfortunately of all the videos viewed not one is prepared to show this.I suspect it’s not an easy operation and so is avoided in filming.
Idiot didn’t leave 5mm gap at 4:55
Instructions too British, got dick stuck in 5mm gap.
Is there a way to have no beading trims and not take off the skirting board?
its crap, go for the glue down stuff it stays down and does’nt need beading, the plastic locking mechanism breaks-AVOID
we are the manufacture of WPC/LVT/SPC Vinyl Flooring in China, E-mail:andy@hhfloor.com.
its rubbish go for glue down
I think the spacers were forgotten about on the last narrower row ?
Very good and helpful video 👍🏻
buy glue down clic breaks
I notice you didnt show how to connect the short edge, as well as the easy long edge, as this is always the tricky bit. You must have had difficulty with it.
it’s so fuckin easy
Don’t snap the panels, cutt with conclude blade.
Luxury Vinyl usually has an expansion coefficient of less than .1% so the expansion gap is completely unnecessary. This gap IS necessary when using wood and bamboo laminate flooring which expands excessively, so this video seems to confuse these products and provides poor advice.
HOW TO CUT AROUND DOOR FRAME!?
Basing your entire floor on the evenness of the walls in your house is a good way to get things nice and crooked. Terrible….
good skills. been fitting flooring for over 15 years and never come across that triple.board scribbing trick. well impressed with that one
Fantastic video! Simply explained but informative and comprehensive. Thank you!
Construction of a new house the planks were layed over construction grade pressed board. The only problem a piece of wood was underneath creating a bump. Contractor had to remove plank. He did say laminate planks you would not notice.

Finally… A Video that SHOWS the end cut and to
use the left over to start the next row!!!
I see so many videos that have all this left over cuts
because no one TELLS them to do what you just did!!!
"BRAVO" … Thank YOU so much… Great video…
Thank you have found this very useful, thanks for showing.
Forgive me but this chap looks about 13…clever though!
Luxury Vinyl Plank does not expand and contract
good
Aside from having an unleveled floor if you will be installing the planks on an uneven surface, what are the other effects? Thanks.
What is the best chemical using for vinyl please advise
Very good video with clear explanations. Kudos!
Is it 24 hours or 48 hours? I seen others mentioneing 48 hours. please kindly advice thank you 🙂
Never cut the edge off. That is just stupid.
How to get in India
What a fantastic video this is. I never new to leave the vinyl flooring in the room for 24 hrs to accustomize it to the room temp. also, everything was covered brilliantly . I have searched for a decent video to show me how its done. Well done to you . So easy to watch and follow. xx
Acclimated lol, not Acclimitized
Luxury Vinyl flooring doesn’t have to acclimate if there are not VERY drastic changes in temperature in the area where you will be installing. Acclimation is much more important for wood flooring, vinyl flooring has almost 0 expansion. Also the stagger effect is not only for appearance, but to give strength to the floor so it doesn’t separate anywhere. Good video, but lacks experience with the product to give the best advice.
Can i install vinyl on ceramic tile? its even but has grout ridges.
No need
What kind of underlayment is that and does it have an insulation value
nice
Luxary vinyl plank with built in Underlay so should I use separate Underlay for it?
Great video, clear explanation thanks.
I’m working with 100 year old floorboards that have seen better days. Thinking I need a hardboard layer, what would you recommend? Have heard I need a particular type of plywood.
Any quick cut and installation is possible, So Easy! There will be one for you!

All great.. but the second tile on the second row clicks in on two edges… Funny how they never show how to do that piece…
Good job I like working this is
absolutely fantastic video!
My advice is, do not use skirting as the same colour of the floor because if gives the impression that the floor is "climbing" the wall.
Instead, always use white skirting (if your walls are white of course) because it will give the impression that the floor is fitted underneath the house structure, looks much nicer.
Thanks, Jack. That was super helpful.
Wow you made it so easy to understand, easy to understand . Best video I’ve seen especially the radiator pipe trick as I was concerned about that . Thank you very much.
Hi it was so helpful. Thanks alot. But just a question our room start with same same size of 3 laminate so how should I start the next row?
