The quickest way to remove the wallpaper
Fill an empty spray bottle with (1/4 thick bleach + 3/4 water)
Spray the wall and after 5 minutes remove the wallpaper.
Wear a face mask 😷 and keep windows open for aeration.

I used to score old paper in a diamond pattern then soak warm water onto paper then using a scraper or a heavy duty scraper job done

Do you need to apply undercoat or primer to an already painted wall??
I just use 100 grit to 120 grit fine sandpaper or 60 if it’s really rough such as a lump of filler then switch to fine finish sandpaper then using a damp cloth wipe all areas of walls especially where you have sanded so it will remove dust dirt better to paint onto a clean surface than dirty
What is the cleaning spray used?
Hire a decent industrial steamer and it just melts off
