Inside the ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE'S $288,000,000 FOOTBALL Facility, Pt. 2 | Royal Key

When you think of Alabama Football, what comes to mind? Winning? Consistency? Perfection? All of the above, maybe? Well, that’s by design because Alabama Head Coach, Nick Saban, pays close attention to all of the details, from how a play is ran to the design of each locker in the locker room. On our second “Royal Key” visit to Tuscaloosa, we explore all of the hidden details in their new facility.

Bryant-Denny Stadium, home to one of the greatest football programs in America, is a step above most, if not all in the college football world. Alabama partnered with different companies in the overall renovation of this iconic stadium, including Coldwater, Ohio-based Forty Nine Degrees. Updates by Forty Nine include the modernization of the players locker room, the revamping of the premium suites, the remaking of the recruiting lounge, the fabrication of the player experience tunnel and more. Forty Nine Degrees also assisted in the renovation of the Mal Moore Athletic Facility through larger-than-life graphics and messaging, dimensional branding and interactive technology.

You can have 20 different extra recovery modalities each costing 5,000$ a piece. But all of that together won’t work as well as managing practice and training volume, getting enough sleep, and mitigating outside life stress.

How weird is it to have your big ole face on the wall of your locker space?

  14. Spooky on July 18, 2023 at 3:08 pm

So this is why colleges are so expensive. Blowing al their budget just so the athletes can have insane facilities and not giving a shit about the regular students who are actually going to make the world a better place.

That facility is nothing but awesome. A few friends and I were given a surprised tour of it by one of the players and it is astonishing ! That place is 1ST CLASS.

  18. Dane Lemon on July 18, 2023 at 3:11 pm

Should have put most of that money toward education and helping many more people across the state of Alabama.

  19. Xavier Hoppe on July 18, 2023 at 3:12 pm

Nice to see all that money going towards athletics instead of tuitions and teacher pay

  22. Christian Michaud on July 18, 2023 at 3:13 pm

The wireless phone charger is a cool idea. Something little you wouldn’t necessarily think about that would make the player a little more comfortable. Must be nice when you forget your charger lol

I wonder what Alabama does with their bowl trophies? Almost looks like non existent there 😂

  26. Phoenix on July 18, 2023 at 3:18 pm

Bama has better facilities then some NFL teams honestly… As a Pittsburgh Steeler diehard, they have better facilities. I’ve also seen the Browns and Bengals…. way worse.

  29. Tobias Larsen on July 18, 2023 at 3:19 pm

Wait is this not a rugby stadium or i mean american rugby.

  30. scubafossil1 on July 18, 2023 at 3:26 pm

This is disgusting. All they do is play football. What about the people that cure disease, flip burgers, walk ladies across the street. They deserve way more before people who throw a ball around.

  31. nizzla_eso on July 18, 2023 at 3:27 pm

Is this why my tuition there was so fucking xxxpensive?

College football has become a circus 🎪 What are you offering that no other program can provide. A comfort zone .

  39. Charles Bas on July 18, 2023 at 3:36 pm

What a joke.. when you consider that 90% of 12 year old Korean children are smarter than the entire college of Alabama .
Im glad that the least intelligent at Alabama get the best treatment

  40. Brandon Burroughs on July 18, 2023 at 3:37 pm

  41. Akeem Jackman on July 18, 2023 at 3:40 pm

  42. 💸Arbitrage Attack 💸 on July 18, 2023 at 3:41 pm

  43. Thelight50 on July 18, 2023 at 3:42 pm

No HBCU could ever compete with this.

  49. HintonB on July 18, 2023 at 3:47 pm

This isn’t half of the experience. The first 5 steps through the player entrance is enough to give anyone chills. I’ve been lucky enough to get the recruit tour. It’s a wonder anyone decides to go elsewhere.

  50. UnoriginalName on July 18, 2023 at 3:48 pm

So this is where all our fucking tuition is going….
