Interior Design — Tips & Tricks For Decorating A Small Studio Apartment
Where there aren’t rooms, fake them! On http://houseandhome.com/tv, Joel Bray proves that a small bachelor apartment can be divided up into functional “rooms”. See how he layered in storage-smart furniture, eclectic art, vintage finds and a cohesive colour palette to make the most of a 350-square-foot space.

Loving this!!!!
Damn Joel u did that
I would have ditched the “island” and opted for a coffee table that sits a little higher so the living area is comfortable for eating, excluded some of this rugs so it feels a little less crowded and probably just opted for pictures and decor that can hang on the walls rather than crowding them on the dresser I would instead put a bigger tv or maybe a record player just something to fill the whitespace without being so much that you get claustrophobic.
I like the four poster bed idea for crating a sort of bedroom, and the console table with the linen chest under – desk space in a way.
Noooooo!!! Toooooo much going on!!! The canopy bed, no.
like it
Such a great space
looks like this living room would belong to my basic ass cousin. dont like it.
This is one of the most well designed and beautiful studio I have ever seen!
"Tiny studio apartment" I live in an 92 square foot apartment. I dream of a mansion like this.
I really love this space, but this is the way I decorate. I know it’s not a lot of people’s style, but I love a lot of things that have meaning to me. That’s what makes me feel at home.
Design is so important! I always talk about it on my blog.
all i can think about is all thw dist build up 😶
Too crowded 😧
Everyone is talking about that the room has too much stuff. But the point is basic furnishings. You can put or eliminate any stuff yourself! That room is just a model house and one example in a million.
Looking at the living room I almost forgot it was a studio; you can imagine my surprise when you introduced the bed.
That book, "Art and The Power of Placement." The irony. I need Ritalin just to look at this.
I both love and hate this space. I love the style and how there are so many places to sit but I hate how there’s so much going on. I think I would have preferred less on the dresser and gotten rid of canopy bed frame. I would have probably combined the kitchen and living area so less pieces could be used. All of these things going on is too much for my brain to process. I guess I go for more of a calming effect in my home and this studio, while beautiful, does not calm me.
Great tips!
This sucks.
I love it, you did a good job. The map and the trunk has to go though.

Maybe the owner deliberately does not want to keep the TV at the center? Maybe he/she makes minimal use of it? Otherwise, the arrangement on the dresser is one of those artistically done set ups, but not exactly efficiently functional. Personally, I would not want to have all of those stuff competing for my sight in the moments I am watching my fav show or movie.
Joey~ one of my favorite designers
Very nice 👏👏👏
I hate all the vintage stuff
Nice, but I feel the designer got overly excited at the opportunity to decorate the space. It is a small studio, so less is more.
stunning
I don’t like the map. I think it looks dingy! Everything else, however, is adorable.
Still one of my favourite decorating videos on YouTube
I want to move to California but I barely have a budget. I’m getting a studio but have no idea how to make it not look like a cardboard box but I don’t want to put too much into it because I want to move to a 1 bedroom after a while.
I love the bed
Can you please let me know what color is the paint for the walls.? I love it and would love to paint my room in that soft gray.
#Antonio Torcasio +Charmaine Blake Some great tips here for sure! @Brand Neil
How practical is a white couch?
the size of the TV is the best show off that this video is from 7 yrs ago 😂
Too many unnecessary things.
perfect counter: IIIIIIIII
Love it!
Gorgeous
Too much clutter and the styling looks more feminine than masculine.
it is sooo wrong ! no no no
Didn’t I just see this apartment redone in 2020? And by the same designer? I think so. I prefer the 2020 look
I love this studio apartment 💜 real cute

I love it! Not bad for 350 square feet! 🙂
Very nicely done. I, too, like the way the bed creates its own room with the posts.
I love it!
Great job! Excellent!
Gosh thats the TINIEST living space I’d ever seen. And I thought my 1220sqf apartment is small !!
