omg…those trends look so middle aged and dowdy… great if you’re a 60-70 yr old wanna be english countryside dweller… nothing for anyone under that age

I like the dried florals. I have a whole bunch of them being a gardener. I’m still trying to find furniture for my sunroom so looking for seating that is smaller and more versatile.

    Thank you

Rebecca here! I’ve never been a trendy person and always attracted to the rich dark colors for my walls. I decorate primitive /early colonial..so that being said we have a lot of early cupboards, pie safes, tables and rope beds. One thing to mention..if you find a good unpainted piece of furniture, DO NOT PAINT IT! 😮 I’m glad I saw this video, I’ve been over farmhouse for a long time😳.

I didn’t realize how good the monochormatic look could look. Your photo choices are excellent!

Trends is a subject in decorating or clothing to me. I love to see what’s out there coming around. Everyone has their own style and home to put things in their space. I like one or two usually from a list that may inspire me. A big factor with all this is your budget and how much you can afford to change or update from time to time. People that can afford to be in style at all times is nice. I like what I like and do that. Thanks for video Jennifer ! 💕

Thank you for the video trend update but I can’t say I’m all for it. I have alot of antiques in my home from my family and I wouldn’t trade them or change them for world.

First time viewer. I enjoyed your video. The information and pace of the video was just great. It was easy to watch. I don’t like the moody colors. I like rooms to be light and airy. Also the dry flowers have got to stay gone for me, nothing but dust collectors. Thanks for the great content.

  13. Gail Miller on February 8, 2023 at 6:25 am

    Loving the new trends!

  14. Cindy Brannen on February 8, 2023 at 6:26 am

I’m loving the darker colors and the beautiful murals. So tired of white farmhouse look and wallpaper. I like what I think is called the dark academia look. Darker colors, botanicals, and warm wood tones.

Sorry, no such thing as a "Coffee" table……it’s a COCKTAIL TABLE…..yes, I am an Interior Designer, graduated in Boston, with Honors…one of the first lessons: Cocktail table…..also no "COUCH"……..it’s a SOFA……

  16. Yasmine Williams Woods on February 8, 2023 at 6:31 am

I enjoy all of your videos. My favorite was the allusion to Ecclesiastes

  17. Надежда С on February 8, 2023 at 6:31 am

Слишком много говорит и мало показывает!🤔

  18. Madonna Hagedorn on February 8, 2023 at 6:33 am

For my redesign on my bathroom I have been considering a color called owl grey. It’s grey but it has a beautiful undertone of blue that I just love. I found a backsplash with hues of blue glass, whites with touches of greys and silver. I think I’m going to do it. It will give my guest bathroom that fresh coastal feel. As long as blue is in, why not. Thank you this inspirational video.

  19. Cindi Sartors on February 8, 2023 at 6:35 am

Your videos are always beautifully illustrated with pictures and examples. I don’t really follow trends because it causes me to always feel anxious about trying to keep up. I appreciate that you always say to fill our homes with things we love. I have a chest that belonged to my great aunt who was the first post mistress in a neighboring town, it is over 110 years old.

  20. C Thor on February 8, 2023 at 6:36 am

  21. Paola Montes on February 8, 2023 at 6:36 am

Love it! Love natural wood. We are refinishing our maple floor (orange stain!) to go for a more natural look.

  30. lizzys BEAUTY show etc. on February 8, 2023 at 6:43 am

Quite honestly when I’ve seen YouTube and show their homes especially in New York City their white boxes with lots of gold mirrors most likely crystals and hanging plants in white everything and it’s so boring because they copy each other so I always skip over these videos not interested it’s all the same no uniqueness nor authenticity just bland and boring

  31. S. Barlow on February 8, 2023 at 6:43 am

Thanks Jennifer, Love the rich look of antiques and wallpaper! I have several beautiful pieces that have been handed down to me. So, I can’t wait to make them the center of attention! I would love to go bold with a feature wall but shy about adding dark paint. I’ll have to think about that.

  32. Deidre Cook on February 8, 2023 at 6:44 am

Wonderful new ideas! I Love the antiques mixing with new.

  33. Andrea Martin on February 8, 2023 at 6:45 am

Just a thought on changing up your colors…sofa/loveseat slipcovers in the darker shades if you have light fabric! A temp change that can be reversed at any time! That’s what I’m going to try to bring in the moody colors this year!

  34. Debbie McKendry on February 8, 2023 at 6:45 am

So glad my burgundy classic couch is back in style! Great video, thanks.

  35. Styled4Life on February 8, 2023 at 6:47 am

Love the fresh and new ideas😊

  36. Shannavegana McInnis-Hurd on February 8, 2023 at 6:47 am

Well done. But just a language tip. The word you used a few times is ESPECIALLY. NOT EXpecially. ❤

  37. Marlene Goho on February 8, 2023 at 6:47 am

I love most of them…I’m obsessed with green velvet sofas…saw some beauties in Venice, Italy last October

  38. Helen K on February 8, 2023 at 6:47 am

Hi Jennifer! Great video! I love moody dramatic in small spaces, just ordered black cabinets for my laundry room …. fingers crossed

  39. Flower power on February 8, 2023 at 6:48 am

I’m keeping my creamy walls as dark walls trigger depression . But I also have lots of mahogany timbering

  40. lizzys BEAUTY show etc. on February 8, 2023 at 6:49 am

You forgot to mention wall film screens they’re back in style and beautifully done for privacy purposes or if you have a horrible view from a window for example

  41. LeeAnn Leventini on February 8, 2023 at 6:50 am

Follow or don’t follow the latest trend… Great statement!

  42. J Annibal on February 8, 2023 at 6:57 am

I usually adopt a trend after it has gone out of fashion and yes, it is absolutely true, Solomon had it right when he said that there is nothing new under the sun. Do what works for you. It will probably "go out of fashion" soon, but in November 2022 I painted a black accent wall in my living room and it changed the entire feel of the space. All of a sudden, all of my furniture and accessories looked much better to my eyes, and I realized that for the past 30 years I’ve been decorating with "Dark Academia" without ever having used the perfect final touch of a dark accent wall. I had a good laugh when I realized that, but all the years I’ve been living on my own (since 1969) I’ve made cozy "dens" for myself filled with books, art prints, and classic design pieces and didn’t even know it. Sometimes you just sort of "absorb" things through osmosis.

  43. Gina Maria on February 8, 2023 at 6:58 am

Great video, I’m an antiques girl all the way ☺️💕

  44. My Tailored Home on February 8, 2023 at 6:58 am

I love the look of dried lavender harvested from my yard just gathered in an antique basket (hence the profile pic, lol) but you are right I think, faux still wins the day

  45. Jess Quinn on February 8, 2023 at 7:06 am

THANK YOU Jennifer. you are like the only decorator I have seen on this entire site that embraces colors, natural wood tones, soft light, metals others than chrome, wicker and just all around soft and homebound comfort. I am so sick of seeing all these pure white interiors other so-called interior decorators keep insisting is in. "If you are not doing it this way, you are making big mistakes." Gods, I so hate that sort of phraseology. Please Jennifer, keep pushing for color and not just subtle colors either. We need to get back into "true colors."

  46. I have insomnia on February 8, 2023 at 7:06 am

In my opinion, Old English Furniture Polish (oil) or Orange Glow can be your best friend with making antique wood furniture look beautiful.

  47. Stacy Grenado on February 8, 2023 at 7:07 am

Jennifer did you repaint your home? What’s your whole home paint color?

  48. Dee Lehey on February 8, 2023 at 7:08 am

    Antiques are always fashionable.

  49. curlycurly004u on February 8, 2023 at 7:09 am
