I love you, but your delivery speed leaves me gasping for oxygen
Kivaaaaa, I saw you in the VCFurniture designer looks magazine. So happy for you!!!
I do agree with them
Another great video, Kiva!!
When I lived in a house during the pandemic I had about 250 live plants. In my apartment I have about sixty. We are able to control the colors of many plants via hybrids and mutations cultivated, just saying.
Girl love that vase of yours
This was terrific. I loved your comments about plants (i have a ton against white everything and wood floors and always will). I also loved your talk about layered lighting. A room isnโt finished without it. A room in winter with only overhead lighting is not a happy place to be. โIf you have a problem with roy g. bivโฆโ hahahaha. great post. really great.
Iโm happy to hear you talk about having the green plant. I am just like your grandma. I have plants all over my kitchen counters. Lol.
That big blue โvaseโ you showed is a what I call a bowl, not a vase. Iโve been wondering, how can I store stuff in a tall/skinny vase?
I would add incorporating vintage or antique elements into your home to the list of timeless trends. ๐
I give you a 10 ๐๐พ
I have yet to tell you I LOVE your new glasses! I hope youโre health is improving. โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Dear Ms Kiva,
Your good humour and your ideas put everyone…in a good trend! (mood) hee hee
You have a good eye ๐ and you are right!
(even if some disagree, everyone is free to enjoy it..or not!) ๐
Just like mixed metal, I have a hard time to succeed with this decor idea but hey! You demonstrate that asking for help is a great idea!!!!!
Thank you Ms Kiva for your video! So enjoyable!!
helene :))
Can you recommend metals that would look good with honey bronze?
*Swivel Chairs* . I love the look of my wing-back chairs, however, there is only one layout that functions well for my living room. If they only swiveled, I’d be in heaven. I wonder if I can hack that, I have a pair of swivel recliners destined for no-where in the basement. Wheels are turning.
And here I was thinking how clever I am for hiding stuff in a vase ๐คญ
Love your attitude!! I like greenery, mixed metals and am struggling w/ my lighting but working on it!!
Love the plants! Love that your grandma loves plants!
That isn’t a vase – that is a bowl
I love everything you mentioned! Great tip for stashing things in a vase, especially when you are in a rush to clean up when someone is on their way over! I love the new color of your hair, Kiva, and you’re right on trend, my friendโฃ๏ธ๐โค
My style is totally different. I like putting things together that donโt match but oddly work together.
Your home is beautiful. Ignore the haters
I love this presentation so much, especially about lighting. Please file this away under my folder you have for me to use in decorating my house when I get it (I’ve started looking for it 3/1/2023}. I will contact you as soon as purchase it.
My favorite piece of artwork in my home is green ๐
The big problem with smart lighting is that your device that controls it WILL malfunction and break down at some point! The last thing I want is to have to do a software update to use my lights. I think you’re on point with everything else but I will never allow smart lighting in my home! It’s also way too recent to be considered timeless!
I love mixing metalsโฆ.am loving gold, bronze, and black at the moment. You are โspot-onโ and my favorite designer.
Timeless Trend = Classic
I put a continuous countertop & backslash in my kitchen during renovations 17 years ago for exactly the reason you mentioned. It saved me trying to find tiles that matched. At the time the company kept asking me if I was sure as they hadnโt done these before. It still looks great.
Now if only we can get rid of the trend when people hit the pillow in the middle making rabbit ears. It takes away from the beauty of the pillow. Itโs not a rabbit. Itโs a pillow!! Maybe itโs just me ๐ตโ๐ซ
I am probably the only person who is not in love with the continuous backsplash—-love a island waterfall—but I feel the continuity is overkill. Love me a fabulous tile that I can change when I get bored. Love love love a swivel
Yo. You have such a comforting personality.
Love your glasses ๐ค
Could you talk about corner fireplaces? I hate mine but I donโt really want to drop 5k to move it 5 feet over. Do you have design solutions or should I save up and center it
That vase idea is genius! Love these videos!โค
ROYGBIV was not lost on me lol. First heard it in a kids show. Love it!
I recently bought 2 accent chairs, and right away I regretted not getting swivel chairs.

People with nothing nice to say need to go somewhere else. Unnecessarily mean to critique YOUR taste in YOUR home. Too much free time. You do you well. ๐ ๐ ๐ Iโm here for it, even when I would not make that choice.
Would love a video on where the designers get faux trees! They always look amazing and way better than the basic target trees.
I don’t normally comment, but can you please please do a segment on swivel chairs? I’m looking for 2 for the living room, and 2 for the bedroom.
Your channel has been Amazing
Kiva you are looking positively radiant! I always love hearing your tips. Youโre the interior design muse! ๐
Your house is S T U N N I N G.
I looked to your house to guide me in my bigger design choices with my ADU.
Key words "YOUR. HOUSE."
Eff the haters. you is brilliant, you is radiant, you is a babetron. <3
I mixed my metals in my kitchen with vintage gold and brushed steel. It’s sexy AF but DEF felt intimidating during design phase.
Having my backsplash match my island/countertops make the space feel larger and cohesive.
Plants aren’t a trend, they are a way of life! They have always been a way of life for people like your Grandmother and myself.
I literally designed my home with plants in mind ๐
And, as always, accessibility is sexy and necessary.
I hope more people start to talk on this like you do: Normal. Not "othering" and not whispering about it.
I agree with these trends
Hey KB I have a question, I wasn’t sure how or who to ask. I kinda lean like a neutral boho with black, white, creams, and tans mostly. I found this tribal type lamp? It’s huge and I feel kinda amazing. Not sure whether to paint it black, leave it Brown or maybe strip it with oven cleaner? Is there a way to send you a pic, if u see this? Ty

You were born in 96!? ๐ฎ
Thanks!
Loving the countertop going up the backsplash area! Such a beautiful, cohesive and classy look. Also, a great pottery vase or vintage pottery of any kind to make your space look curated and add character.
My husband drives me crazy by putting his tools, pens, glasses and hardware in every possible vase. That man has yet to meet a decorative container that he has not found a utilitarian use for.
