  4. Karen Zielke on May 18, 2022 at 7:38 pm

Doesn’t have a functional work triangle. Odd the stove is so far away from the rest of the work area.

  5. Shanta Hsieh on May 18, 2022 at 7:39 pm

I am so sure that you will find good way to make it on woodprix.

  6. teerexness on May 18, 2022 at 7:40 pm

The layout changes are a hit. But the new cabinets look like they came out of a 1970s RV. Just my $0.02.

I love this designer’s personality. She’s as warm & inviting as this kitchen. Love what she did with the space & the color on that banquet is delicious!

  8. karanata on May 18, 2022 at 7:47 pm

This is what I’d like my kitchen to look like. The wooden cabinets, white countertop, & banquet seating! Love everything about it 💛

  9. Roly Poly on May 18, 2022 at 7:48 pm

    wheres the stove?

  10. Honey V on May 18, 2022 at 7:50 pm

I really liked everything except the dining room light. I would like it to be glass so it doesn’t block the window so much.

  11. grammus cc on May 18, 2022 at 7:51 pm

    ‘Sleek’…. ok.

‘…detail on the windows…a little French bistro, warm, a little bit agéd…’ Uhh, yeah, they’re nice windows with a classic look. But a little bit agéd…. hmm ok.

A round table against a square banquette. I hope you dont mind leaning over to eat if you’re in the corner, or have the table against your torso if you’re in the middle, or sitting at an angle on one buttock if you’re on the outside. 😂

The banquette is nice because it provides lots of seating area and storage. But even if you had chairs all the way around and had to pull the table out a little more, that wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

I’m a little confused by the floor plan, the dining room is toward the front of the house and the living room is between the kitchen and dining area. Either the family switched the functions of the rooms or the floor plan was labeled incorrectly. Or maybe the floor plan was really intended that way. Interesting.

Anyway, nice kitchen reno. Clever move with the adjustment of the stair direction. The descriptions are so funny!

This design is A+. The designer is super talented. The annoying part is she grimaces while she talks. She could use a lesson is presentation and public speaking skills.

  15. Megan Jeffcoat on May 18, 2022 at 7:53 pm

Reminds me of a luxury 1970s

  16. TheTwistedPotato on May 18, 2022 at 7:54 pm

ngl i noticed that all the spaces i love here in h&h was designed by Olivia! I love her!!!♡

  17. rneustel on May 18, 2022 at 7:57 pm

I think this reno is amazing!! I love stained wood cabinets, and I really abhor a sink without a window. I know there’s times when there’s just no other way, but I’m just happy to see the change. That banquette is scrumptious!! There’s an amazing amount of seating at the table—comfortable seating, at that!!

  18. Mariya M on May 18, 2022 at 7:57 pm

I like the general idea, but don’t really like the design. What a bland powder room! And a truly awful location, given that’s the only dining area, so even during a holiday dinner, people will be coming in & out. The dining area is cute & a good concept, although not totally in love with the look. Those cabinets though – so hideous! And what’s with the coffee maker being downright hidden? No functional triangle.. long walk from sink to stove. I think the natural wood tones were a good idea, but I’d go for a way more modern-style cabinet. There’s so many retro pieces that it looks dated. Not sure what’s up with the red rug in the kitchen given that color is used nowhere else in the whole kitchen. The stone is nice & probably my favorite part of the whole kitchen.

  19. Tay Aitken on May 18, 2022 at 7:58 pm

I love this space. If it were mine I’d remove that big light (I think it’s a bit much) and flip the colours in the kitchen, having wood countertops and white cabinets. Other than that it’s almost exactly how I’d have it.

  20. Neha Wasnik on May 18, 2022 at 7:58 pm

sleek – NO, Brown and dated – Yes!

  21. Faith on May 18, 2022 at 7:58 pm

I like it. I wish they hadn’t put the desk there so we can feel a bit of separation between the kitchen countertop and the eating area. It would have been cleaner.

  22. Ivson Aguiar on May 18, 2022 at 8:00 pm

2019: White cabinets are timeless, it’s a great way to refresh your kitchen and won’t be leaving any time soon!
Also 2019: Wood cabinets are back!

    (Interesting project though)

Is the banquette a special order piece? Any links to where to find them?

  26. Jack Swanson on May 18, 2022 at 8:03 pm

    Those cabinets are ugly AF

  27. Alexis Pacey on May 18, 2022 at 8:03 pm

Like the function, flow and design but cannot say the same about the cabinetry. This is like a dated ’70s home or as someone said, an RV

  28. Exposed YEP on May 18, 2022 at 8:07 pm

I came here cause I’m so tried of white kitchens

  29. Renée Sunberg on May 18, 2022 at 8:10 pm

I really love this designer, her work, and that she is family conscious in her designs. And that banquet…🤤

  30. Alli White on May 18, 2022 at 8:11 pm

nice layout but the walnut actually looks more dated than the first kitchen

  31. Meekey Kamira on May 18, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Was going so well…then shows powder room off the kitchen/dining room…

  32. Maxine F on May 18, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Not a fan of the cabinets.

  33. Romelia Polly on May 18, 2022 at 8:11 pm

I have checked many woodworking plan sites. I think the instructions from Woodglut are the best.

I wonder what it took to move the sink? :O

Doing kitchens in anything other than all white is a criminal offense under the Pinterest White Kitchen Act of 2015

  43. Princess BC on May 18, 2022 at 8:30 pm

I love the makeover and the dining area is quite beautiful. The kitchen looks like someone could afford to replace everything but the dated cabinets and doors. Even though the wood does seem original to the home, which still makes it appear a bit dated…it works! And it’s good that the wood doesn’t seem fabricated (not sure if it is or not). The kitchen cabinets give me vintage/mid mod with updated, cosmetic finishes. I enjoy a collaboration of vintage and modern.

  47. Lynn Stig on May 18, 2022 at 8:34 pm

The kitchen looks so bright i love it soooo much

  48. Kristofer Manogora on May 18, 2022 at 8:35 pm

always a deal breaker to have a powder/comfort room open up to a living or dining space. If they can move the stairs 90degrees, sure they can move the powder room. But there might be other constraints that were not specified.

  49. Delaney B on May 18, 2022 at 8:35 pm

“always a banquet” this is why i love her

  50. Elio Pearlman on May 18, 2022 at 8:36 pm
