My wife and I NEVER leave a wood stove or little Buddy on at night. For one it’s a waste of fuel and fire issue. Also down sleeping bags are warm enough and cheap.

The only give away to the fact that you’re stealth camping in your van is the fact that you don’t have frost build up on your windows like the other vehicles have (due to the fact that you’ve been using the Mr. Buddy heater). But, even if the cops were called by a nosy neighbor they probably wouldn’t stick around long enough to see if frost would accumulate because other than the lack of frost you are Stealth.

I noticed the car photobombing you…is that the cops?

Now that its almost 2018, is it still possible for me to live in my Ford Transit van in Seattle while I’m going to college ? My school is literally near the Space Needle down-town. I only have class 3 days a week, so not sure if I want to pay the 1200 a month rent to live in Capital district, or just drive further out to sleep, any advice id appreciate. Also if I could park my Van at some Bus / Amtrak, I could use public transportation to get in and out of the city for school.

Instead of living on Seattle streets come down to Buckley and camp along the foothills Trail there is lots of places to hide in the woods along the trail plus you are closer to the Buckley Food Bank. Why in the heck would anybody want to camp in crime ridden city when they can head for the mountains and wooded areas around Enumclaw and Buckley or Bonny Lake like behind Safeway and Fred Meyer its all wooded at night it gets pitch black know one would ever know your there. If you go down highway SR 165 their is a gravel pull off area you will see a memorial bench for Linda Campbell and the Buckley foothills trail you can park your van there you got trees around you for your privacy.

BUDDY! The heater is "certified for rv use as long as you use the tanks, nothing is near it and there’s ventilation"!

  26. NW 420chef on September 3, 2022 at 5:28 am

I live in Federal Way, WA in a 81 Toyota Dolphin (a very small RV lol) and I have a quick question. what do you do for the humidity. Because I have a small dehumidifier but nothing seems to stop the humidity with the mattress etc. feeling damp. Any ideas?
