Just bought a van and just added a solar panel system that can run an AC and a small fridge 24/7, gonna start working on the aesthetics tmrw love these van videos for inspiration.

I used to be homeless and lived out of a Nissan Altima 2008 with a busted AC for over a year😂😂

I own a house now but I remember I always wanted to have a van and build one

This young person is doing more for the environment than most people realize. Less consumption and drain on mother Earth.
Good luck and may the Gods bless you and keep you safe.

Little brother, finally someone doing van life the right way…SIMPLE.
This is the way, to actually have more room inside, instead of cabinets, closets, counters, blah blah blah…yet, if they like all that weight and clutter, and a lack of inside room, then okay.
Buying food out, is about the same price as cooking your own. So why have all that clutter? Yet, if "they" like it all heavy and built out, so be it.
I use black fabric and a fork to push the corners of the fabric into the ceiling plastic support and have complete privacy. With a twin mattress, great bedding, pillows, and lots of room.
    Good going Micah (spelling?).
You’re doing van life the best way…..simple! A laptop and cell phone, is good also, and a power inverter.
    No truck..keep your mini van.
And it’s okay to travel according to the weather. I’m on the southern beaches in winter, and spring, summer, fall, in Colorado…and a few trips to Arizona in spring and fall.
You’ve got it right with the mini van Micah. Trucks are worse on mpg and very inconvenient. The mini van is just right!
Keep it simple…easy, and mellow…and enjoy a calm journey.

The reason you can’t afford a house is because you spend all money on coffee and eating out.

  12. Blue LaughS on March 26, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Minimalist doesn’t = someone who owns nothing, restrain yourself from getting what you love

    Its more so
Minimalist = minimalizing things to comfort yourself. You don’t clutter, you can take care of yourself. Have a wardrobe you wear, you never forget a piece you love. Plus clean space, less expensive. Emergencies are easier to handle as well, I’d think. (fires, packing for an emergency, etc)

Add on: shared this because I saw a few comments about it maybe being people who are too lazy to own more or it’s a negative lifestyle.
It’s not. It’s not for EVERYONE though! Which is fine.

  13. William Bianchi on March 26, 2022 at 6:24 pm

He has a job, which means he supports himself, and he’s not harming anyone, so there should be no objections to his lifestyle If he is investing his extra income, he’ll likely be able to retire early.

  14. Josephine Clifford on March 26, 2022 at 6:24 pm

  19. Inday Jell Yan on March 26, 2022 at 6:30 pm

Does he have his own channel? I’d like to see his continual journey as a minimalist in a van.

  20. Red Wine on March 26, 2022 at 6:30 pm

  21. Gee Speller on March 26, 2022 at 6:33 pm

Cool van do you still have it ?

  23. Randomagon ! on March 26, 2022 at 6:34 pm

Wow, this rig costed $700 dollars, looks like that, and he doesn’t even have solar (and he wants to)!? My set up costed $50, looks essentially the same as this, except that I have solar and a stove. Albeit maybe his vehicle needed some fixing up, but everything else seems fairly household.

  24. Ronnie Guitar on March 26, 2022 at 6:34 pm

You need to talk your girlfriend into letting you move in with her. Maybe her husband wouldn’t like that.

  25. Vanessa Ruiz on March 26, 2022 at 6:37 pm

I stopped at second 25 to write this: I love him. I love people who dont believe they need a lot of material things to be happy. It’s great.

  30. ultimatecouponlady on March 26, 2022 at 6:42 pm

Sooooo…you really don’t live in your minivan full time; you stay there but have the conveniences of your dad’s house to fall back on.

    Update on micah?

  50. Kenney on March 26, 2022 at 7:09 pm

I once saw a truck show where the winner was a truck that had been stripped down. The owner removed anything not required by law, for safety or to do his job. Minimalists remove what they don’t need or want. Less is more.
