There are complete wall slat panels you know? Many colours to choose from. Instead of done very crappy jobs.

  2. Stef on July 28, 2023 at 1:28 pm

You can connect the vacuum directly to the saw by the way 😉

  3. Sumesh Sivsankar on July 28, 2023 at 1:29 pm

  4. Ivan Midzovic on July 28, 2023 at 1:30 pm

I am surprised how many negative comments on this video… These people just wanted to show other people on the youtube how they did certain things.. You can like it, you can dislike it, you can skip it… Why so much hate? What’s going on with the world?

    Très bon travail. Bravo.

Don’t you need glue? That stuff is going to walk all over the house as it goes thru the seasons.

  17. MrSqwertery on July 28, 2023 at 1:40 pm

Is that your normal voice , it’s very annoying ..
I think you should get someone else to do the voiceover.. Workmanship
Excellent , Voice , no no no..

If your a DIYer I would steer clear from almost everything you saw in this video. As a lifelong builder Im actually in shock this was posted as a tutorial. Wearing masks yet blowing dust into the house…..you cant make tis stuff up anymore.

  19. Graham Nash on July 28, 2023 at 1:40 pm

I would have glued the slates. Brad nails will never stay in place long term on a plastered wall when your not hitting the studs. Other than that it looks great . Good job

  20. Murder on July 28, 2023 at 1:42 pm

Prolly should have back caulked or liquid nailed them.

  21. Unathi Mlokoti on July 28, 2023 at 1:44 pm

I’m gonna try it for sure, what kind of wood u using ?

  22. Patrice Hollywood on July 28, 2023 at 1:45 pm

The idea is great. The construction is normally different. You would first apply a sheet of MDF or a board. Affix the board to the studs, sand and paint, then apply the slats. That way you can use glue and nails w/o damage to the wall and it will be a more permanent/secure application. A primer is crucial when painting with darker colors. Otherwise, Im super proud of the effort. 👏

  28. rikiship62 on July 28, 2023 at 1:52 pm

Did you not risk hitting any wiring with the nail gun near the wall sockets?

  29. Yuvraj Tomar on July 28, 2023 at 1:55 pm

Látszanak a szögek helyei ezert ez egy szar megoldás.Csúnya a nyers fa színe is.A festék és a fa anyag már annyiba kerül mint a kész profil és azt csak ragasztani kell ☝️

  33. Guillaume LE MOULNIER on July 28, 2023 at 1:59 pm

    what’s model RIOBY used ?

  34. RoadToad on July 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm

The first slat was installed "plumb" not "level". Plumb is vertical. Level is horizontal. This is a beautiful design.

  35. Patrick Kilgour on July 28, 2023 at 2:02 pm

Slip of the tongue there love? the phrase always use that "18 inch roller" I use mine every morning with my husband dirty b**** lol😂🎉

  36. Somting Wong Wai on July 28, 2023 at 2:07 pm

why not just use the proper slat wall channel profile with concealed insert so you don’t see any brad nails at all.

  37. Stephane Moquin on July 28, 2023 at 2:07 pm

What kind of wood did you use? How far the distance between the slats ??

  38. Joel Kuhn on July 28, 2023 at 2:08 pm

Did you have to do any repair to the bottom of the (wood slate side) wall after removing the baseboard?

  39. Ordo_ab_Chao on July 28, 2023 at 2:09 pm

Hope those masks are for dust protection

Good look , but you have one of the most annoying tonal voices ,where your voice goes up as if your asking a question at the end of every sentence .Once you hear it , that’s it you gotta switch off.

  47. Timbly on July 28, 2023 at 2:19 pm

    poor people live in masks.

  48. ZioN DannY on July 28, 2023 at 2:20 pm

A lot of materials and effort for not a great look

  49. Carl Clappison on July 28, 2023 at 2:22 pm

Are you concerned that brad nails won’t keep the slats from warping with changes in humidity? Did you consider using a backer board and screwing from behind to provide more ridgity and would be interested to know why or why not? Thank you!

  50. Anonymous Anonymous on July 28, 2023 at 2:22 pm

you fired a brad nail into the wall around the socket… without checking the orientation of the cables? how were you sure you didnt or were not going to penetrate the cables???
