Heyo! Mitch and Day here 👋🏼

We’re just your typical American-Colombian couple determined to live every second of our precious time here on earth to the fullest. After a 10-month solo backpacking trip through South America, I (Mitch) stopped in Cali, Colombia to take salsa dancing classes 💃🏻. I only planned to stay for a couple weeks, but God had other plans for me. I met a cute Colombian girl (Day) in class, those couple weeks turned into a couple years, and before we knew it…we were married 👰🏻🤵🏼

Now we’re traveling the world full time as digital nomads, supporting ourselves by working online 👨‍💻👩‍💻

Our goal with these videos is to inspire you to step outside your comfort zone, give you an inside peek at our crazy imperfect lives, and show you that you don’t have to be rich to live an extraordinary life…all you need to do is make the choice!

My husband and I have purchased a 1992 Dodge Roadtrek 190 Popular and are so excited! We’ve been getting her ready to go on our first small camping trip. We want to test her out a bit before we do any long trips. As we check her out, I am impressed with how great of shape she is in for being so old. Of course age shouldn’t matter. I’m old and in decent shape. LOL Just wondering, what kind of mileage have you found yours gets? We just filled ours this morning and can’t wait to see how far she goes. Plan to do a lot of camping this coming month close to home as we test her out in prep for a bigger trip. So excited to see your adventures in a van like ours.

We do all our own cooking at home and when we travel. We also are very budget minded, always have been. You kids are doing a great job. Your budget sounds very good to me. We’ve been doing some changes with our van and are hoping to be all electric/solar. We do solar at home as well and have reduced our costs greatly. We have always been conservation conscious and try to care for the planet. Someday I hope to find a way to incorporate some kind of take along garden for greens. I have all kinds of ideas coming into my mind. Small space, but tons of potential.

Tip for going downhill. Shift down into second gear and let the engine take you down the hill with less braking. Happy Travels!

    Years of trucking:

SHOWERS: * Truck stops give free showers with fuel up in the USA. In Florida alot of beaches have free showers right on the beach, my yrs of trucking doing long haul.

BRIDGES TOLLS: maps tell you where the non toll bridges are, country roads, etc…it’s just that dodging tolls at scales, end up costing you in more in fuel.

LAUNDRY: it’s free in your shower to wash

    CURTAILiNG: Body threatening activities
To avoid high costs of injuries.

I love how down to earth/ real y’all are. Not everyone doing van life have a Mercedes sprinter van and can afford to fully build it out, so I appreciate your videos.

okay the clothing thing was cute

  12. Danny H on November 7, 2022 at 8:22 am

No not E Z pass that is only for North East because Fl uses Sun Pass for tolls. You need to find the toll pass in the west coast

  13. June Bolivar on November 7, 2022 at 8:23 am

As far as tolls, I would check the address associated to your license plate. They should mail you something. Call the EZ pass company and ask how you can pay the toll fees. They will charge you if you pay them late.

fwiw, a commercial driving manual (like what is used to prepare to take the written and driving tests to get a CDL) is full of good info, like how to drive up and down mountains so you don’t fry your brakes. 😉

Hey bro, how did you and your wife or girlfriend meet each other?

  30. DeAr ATBP KURACHA on November 7, 2022 at 8:55 am

Starting lockown, all tolls are free until today. Mayba some are open, but many are still free. Just drive through it.

  31. daryl on November 7, 2022 at 8:55 am

You guys are great! I hope you get back to the states sometime and resume your van life and vlogging.

  32. Nick B on November 7, 2022 at 8:57 am

The tolls should be getting mailed to whatever address your vehicle plates are registered to. Sadly a $5 toll becomes $25 pretty quick with penalties and will top out at $75. There is some extensions due to covid but this is really worth solving ASAP. Thanks for the video. Good luck

  33. Viajero cool on November 7, 2022 at 8:57 am

Great info! Thanks for that. I would recommend an improvement in audio since it was a bit awkward to listen to. By today´s standards should be a top 3 priority along with the value in the content and decent video. Just my two cents. I hope you keep on doing great.

  34. Jerrod Dooley on November 7, 2022 at 8:58 am

You can have your van re-titled as an RV and save big on insurance

  35. cierrah reed on November 7, 2022 at 8:58 am

Get a fast track you can get it from like a CVS Walgreens and you make the account it comes with a small box you put in the front window and when you go through a toll it take the money from the account and you can log in at any time to reload the account with more money or make it auto pay

  36. byron brasher on November 7, 2022 at 8:59 am

  39. SunVenusMoon on November 7, 2022 at 9:03 am

I do campgrounds with my daughter – she wants the other kids 🤷🏾‍♀️

Regarding the cheapest wine – I put gold star barefoot wines against the more expensive bottles anyday of the week.

  40. Jeremy Holmes on November 7, 2022 at 9:04 am

You can use the app Waze to keep away from tolls.
