Muppet*Vision 3D Full Show Animatic WDI (1991)
Muppet*Vision 3D Full Show Animatic WDI (1991)
Muppet*Vision 3D is a 3D film attraction located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Directed by Jim Henson, the attraction consists of a pre-show which then leads into Kermit the Frog guiding park guests on a tour through Muppet Studios, while the Muppets prepare their sketch acts to demonstrate their new breakthrough in 3D film technology. The show, however, completely unravels when Dr. Bunsen Honeydew’s experimental 3D sprite, Waldo, causes mayhem during the next portion of the show.
The attraction—which opened as Jim Henson’s Muppet*Vision 3D on May 16, 1991 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (then Disney-MGM Studios)—incorporates the 3D film in conjunction with in-theater 4D effects, such as Audio-Animatronics, lighting, projections, smoke, soap bubbles, and a live full-bodied performer. Muppet*Vision 3D had a subsequent incarnation open at Disney California Adventure on February 8, 2001 and operated at the park until November 1, 2014.
Muppet*Vision 3D is the main attraction of Grand Avenue of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Background
The show is a 3D film featuring Jim Henson’s Muppets. Due to the use of Audio-Animatronics, a live full-bodied Muppet and other similar effects, the show is sometimes referred to as “Muppet*Vision 4D” (which was used in The Walt Disney World Explorer application, displayed as “Jim Henson’s Muppet*Vision 3D 4D” with a slanted red strikethrough on “3D”). It was directed by Jim Henson and written by Bill Prady. The show was one of the final Muppets projects with the involvement of Henson, as well as veteran Muppet performer Richard Hunt, and one of the last times they performed their characters. Henson died in 1990 before production of the film was completed, and Hunt died in 1992.
Throughout the attraction’s operation at Disney California Adventure, the theater was used to present sneak peeks of Tron: Legacy, Frankenweenie, and Oz the Great and Powerful. On January 7, 2015, the theater at Disney California Adventure began operating as the Crown Jewel Theatre and presented For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, a musical stage show based on Frozen. The attraction operated until April 17, 2016. The location was renamed to the Sunset Showcase Theater and began showing Walt Disney Studios film previews in May 2016. In April 2019, the Sunset Showcase Theater began showing Mickey’s PhilharMagic.

Statler and Waldorf’s motion is so smooth
"its call a salute to all nations, but mostly America" hahahah
What’s the chance in you getting the entire HQ version of the film?

“You see, we invited distinguished scientists from all over the world to come and work here! Unfortunately…. none of them showed up.”
This is awesome
It’s interesting how they show all the elements except for the walk around version of Sweetums. Also, it looks like Statler and Waldorf were dressed in their vacation clothes from the very beginning, but I seem to remember the first time I saw Muppet-Vision they were dressed in their suits, just like on _The Muppet Show._
That’ was amazing Show!!!! Can you bringing the Mickey’s Philharmagic too????? 😀 😀 😀
Theme Park Productions is the WDI division that produces most, if not all, of the video and film for the attractions at the Disney parks. The work they do is nothing short of excellent. Interesting to see this animatic.
Her Du Hoppin Hoppin Der Machine is goin dur floomy floomy
Now we finally see the 35mm run in high quality!
This is so cool.

I had no idea a tape like this even existed, although it makes perfect sense. It’s so great to finally hear the soundtrack without all the reverb they pump into it. Also I really enjoyed being able to finally see the Swedish Chef animatronic clearly (and to see the operation of the rotating platform that swaps out the canon). Always such a bittersweet film to sit through, but sincerely appreciative of your upload to get a new perspective on it. Thank you.
Wow, Beautiful Upload friend. keep it up. Thank you for sharing this to us. Greetings from Korea
13:09 How many ducks do you see?
6:28 Pie in the face
1:51 They forgot to show the Swedish Chef talking to Kermit.
“Oh, not you guys! How’d you get here?”
“We entered a contest.”
“Yeah, we lost!”
Took me years to turn around and notice the Swedish Chef back there. So cool to discover an almost hidden animatronic!
i’m going to crop the footage down to the main screen
13:17 you Mama’d your last Mia origin
Mickey what are you trying to do? Trying to turn us into slaves? >:(
Un used lines
Waldo:Hey hey now I’m free
Stalter:He’s lucky
Waldorf:How
Staler:At least he gets to leave
Staler and Waldorf:Oho ho ho ho
14:28 What would Minnie say when she sees this?
I can finally see one of my Disney World faves at all angles!
– “It is a glorious 3-hour finale.”
– “You’ve got a minute and a half!”
Is it possible for you to upload a video of middle footage film scene but in a clearer image? I sure would appreciate it. Please respond if you can.
Be honest…do they still have these in specific Disney parks?

*Eyes Bug out*
Cannon!?
And action.

I think I just heard Waldorf say “They took this job for the hell of it.”
uipreqtghkgbh
"He’s tryin to drown us! What kind of act is that?"
"An act of Mercy!"
Lindsay Seidel… Emma Roberts… Tyler the Creator…
They all have 1991 thing in common.
Now all we need is something like this for the preshow and main ride of The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera and life will be complete.
Can you do the same for Pirates 4D (1999)?
“It’s a glorious 3-hour finale!”
“You’ve got a minute and a half!”
*le gasp*
