Oasis in the Arizona Desert! – Living in a Van On the Road

Oasis in the Arizona Desert! – Living in a Van On the Road

A look around Lake Havasu City, Arizona
My name is Brian. I live on the road full time in my self built camper van. Join me on my adventures.
In this video I leave my camp at Craggy Wash to go into town at Lake Havasu City, Arizona for supplies. I stop at Rotary Park to spend some time by the lake and take a walk by the London Bridge. Then I head back to camp for a hot shower using my outdoor hot water heater setup. Then its time to relax by a camp fire.
Thanks for watching!

I love the scenery. Its absolutely breathtaking. Im finding it pretty amazing to me just how beautiful it is. I’ve always been on the water n just never thought the desert would be that amazingly beautiful. Im sure you said in the video when you showed the hotwater heater but where did u get that model and how much was it if you don’t mind tellin us your secrets lol? I really like that set up. Im thinking we will have a towable teailer set up but to take a shower outside is just a dream of mine. Actually a bathtub but its alot easier to do with a shower set up lol. Im enjoying following your journeys. Im a fan for sure now. Just subbed a while back n catchin up on some of the vids. Much ๐Ÿ’˜๐ŸSafe & God Bless!!๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜˜

    1. Hey Brian; have enjoyed tremendously all of your videos in chronological order. Thank you for sharing your many gifts and talents. Great idea (among the many) on the pvc tube. No wonder you were named Brian as if you scramble the letters it spells Brain. Here is a quote from one of the many life gurus โ€œPeople think being alone makes you lonely: however, being surrounded by the wrong people is the loneliest thing in the world.โ€

Brian, I am truly enjoying your videos. You are really giving me that motivation to at least go camping. Being African American, camping is something that we didn’t grow up doing, but now that I’m in my 40’s I would like to change that. I’m so envious of your life. So relaxing. And omg I love your cooking videos. Going to try the cast iron pizza. Thanks for shearing.

You should look into a inflatable kayak. Saturn at boats to go or a sea eagle inflatable kayak. That way you can deflate and store in a bag.

You can be lonely in a crowd, being alone does not bring loneliness being uncomfortable in your own skin does!

…m also a lifelong ‘yaker. Look at Dagger, Liquid Logic, Perception and Pyranha. Depending on the water you like, you might look at crossovers with drop down skegs so you go do some Class 1 (yawn), 2, and maybe 3 (FUN!!!) rivers and also have the stability once the skeg is down for a nice lake, canal or Sound paddler.

  31. Dona Harrell on August 31, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Kust discovered your channel. Really nice. Is it really the London Bridge or a scaled replica? Why did it leave London?

Brian – I live outside NYC and have been a whistle-blower on a matter and got burned out and I remember my travels in AZ and I always luved the state and desert. I was thinking of buying a few acres of cheap land to to call my own and camp on – not nec. live on – could you share any ideas? Can you listeners share? I won a disability claim and I just want a small piece of the desert land no one wants but I do! I welcome everyone’s ideas or thoughts

Is this a man made lake or this is natural lake or real oasis ?

  40. Scott Ouellette on August 31, 2021 at 11:27 pm

Brian what do you do to earn money for gas for your van and food for you and dog food for your dog. Do you go to the dentist or see a doctor for annual checkup. How do you pay for parts and repair to your van when it breaks down. Do you pay taxes do you pay into social security so that you have something to have when you are older. Do you have family and friends that support you monitaryly wise.Do you have a trade or good education. What would you do if something happened to you.

When you were splitting your wood, I thought you were making spoon blanks. Firewood is another option, though.

  45. Dana Sutton on August 31, 2021 at 11:34 pm

High Plains Drifter filmed at Mono Lake, CA. Some of Raw HIde was filmed in Arizona.

  46. Cecilia Petrowsky on August 31, 2021 at 11:36 pm

The shower setup is awesome. Maybe as a time saver you could just keep the fittings on the tank? Great idea using the PVC pipe to keep the hose in the proper place. Beautiful area.

Lonely and despair is all those fools that sit in traffic on their way to work and home again just to go to make a living to pay for the prison that they work so hard to pay for with only a couple of weeks off a year. You can keep that lifestyle.

Loved the drone footage, I believe it’s the 1st of seen of LH. I wonder what the water tempature is there and when it is warm enough to swim in. Makes me want to move LH up on my list of places to visit and hang out for a little while. Thanks for another great video Brian.
