Getting ready for camping is exhausting for sure. You have to go home to get some rest, but it’s so worth it!

7:24 If you scrape up the veggies with the back of the knife you won’t have to sharpen your knife often because it doesn’t damage the blade

Here’s a traveling kitty trick. As ur cats are large train them on small dog harnesses (also I’ve seen new better cat one’s of late). We used to travel with our cats (up to 4) all the time in a travel trailer. In fact we started even when we tent camped. Yes, we even let of then run free in the campsite with us, but they were always harnessed. They move slower when on a harness and you’ve got something to grab if one is trying to escape or has been frightened. In all the years we traveled with our cats we never lost one!!!

Opps, we may have left one at our campsite in Yellowstone though. 🥺😳😣😣🤦. This was our first two furry kids we traveled with they were sibs, started as feral kittens and were super close. We were tent camping back. That day we’d packed everything in the car, including ‘both’ cats. However, our little female, truly a monster in spirit, escaped without us seeing her. I mean she actually tried stocking the elk. Lol We drove for about a half hour (ugh) and our male just keep crying. Finely I figured out he was trying to tell us his sister was missing. Major panicked kitty!!! Of course back we went, in a panic, to Yellowstone. Came screeching to a halt at our campsite and who comes marching out from around a tree, but our little sassy girl. You sould have seen the reception her brother gave her. She was like… ‘What’s all this fuss about, I was having a great time’. She was tiny, but boy was she a mighty warrior. Her brother was the scaredy cat. Lol

Anyway, having them on harnesses while traveling is definitely big help. There’s no greater fear when one escapes and/or has been frightened into hiding. Hope u have a fantastic trip. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Camping is my favorite thing looks so nice and relaxing…I love having no cell service and internet on vacations gives me time to screen detox and be present with my family and friends.

I wish y’all would camp more often. It amazes me what you can do in a small place. But NC has so many pretty places to camp! I am ready to get out and do some RVing but hubby is dragging his feet on some projects! I think the cats need those outdoor mesh tube mazes to play in. LOL HUGS~Donna

  21. Hester Roemersma on December 19, 2022 at 2:06 am

    3:55 "It’s like carrying a toddler!" 😆
That’s actually what carrying any adult cat feels like to me, but that might be because I have bunnies myself and the weight difference is bigger than what you would think if judging by size, so I’m always surprised when picking up someone’s cat. But I do love cats, and I get tempted to get one quite often. Some day though…
I love that the two of them get to camp with you! And what a nice camping spot and setup!
I love camping but we used to go with tents (smaller ones when I was younger, but later on my parents bought several bigger ones through the years and that’s easier to use althought harder to pitch) but nowadays I’m more sensitive to warm weather (80 F and up), and pitching tents or sleeping in them isn’t very relaxed with such temperatures. An RV with AC is like a dream, best of both worlds!
Couple of years ago my mom, sister and her family, and I went camping not to far away, but it was around 93 F the day of arrival… Luckily the next day it started raining and the temperature slowly went down to about 86 the next few days. Still warmer than I prefer, but was a relief in contrast and it was a fun trip because it was the first time camping for my niece and nephew. Luckily not too many mosquitoes or flies, but very many wasps around the water tap which was close to our spot, and my nephew was 2.5 years old and obsessed with water, so he kept going there despite our endless warnings about the wasps. Lost count of how many times a day one of us had to get him away from that 🙄
The only upside of the hot weather was that the wasps were so busy trying to get enough water, that they weren’t drawn to our food as much as usual.
I haven’t camped since, but when I do it will probably be in late spring or early autumn. That’s more suitable weather for tent camping!

What a lovely trip, really enjoyed your video. I think your trailer is super! We don’t tend to see those much in England, but I’d love to have a break in one of them. We have a little tear drop trailer which we’re doing up, ready for when we can get out and about. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Love from England ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Hey guys, I know this is a Very old video and yinz (Pittsburgh) don’t reply but I just had to reach out to share that after I lost my Dad in Dec 2020 my mental health spiraled and I couldn’t concentrate long enough to watch your vlogs. (I couldn’t read either!) To help cheer me up we went camping to Erie PA 4 times in our Kodiak tent in ’21 then in Sept we got a pop up and only got to use her 1 time b/c of PA weather. So basically I thought I’d try to watch you guys again and I came across this video of yinz camping and it’s holding my attention! Just FYI, the vlogs yinz made in the rv gave me the desire to go camping again so, thank you guys!!! Take care and all the best to ’22!!! ❤ all of you!!!!

Can the cats go out? or do they have a cat litter inside?

I’d be so nervous to drive a camper. Add on two cats on the loose and it’s terrifying!

So happy to see the Knorpps on another trip. It’s true they don’t rough it all the way, but that’s not the most important thing about these trips, it’s that they spend quality family time with each other. Megan is so good at throwing together quick meals in the RV, I’ve learned so much from her throughout the years on RV trips.

6:10 same story in every video, as usual Peter sits and lounges around while his siblings do most of the work. walks around aimlessly as everyone rushes over to assist. first to sit down, last to get up and help. he’s not the youngest, not the shortest, not the weakest, yet acts like he’s a helpless toddler, not fair to the other siblings and he sets a bad example for Jude Eve and Asher.

Where is the cats? I see the cats now. I would be scare one of the kids would open the door. In a strange place; most cats would take off. They should have cages for them.

  48. Anna M on December 19, 2022 at 2:41 am

Love that campground! Before COVID they held church services there on certain sundays:) also up the road a tad bit, there is an awesome ice cream place called Dolly’s dairy bar!

I saw a documentary somewhere in Asia the kids had to take a zip line type of thing over a canyon to get to school…..
