Loved all of your neat ideas ! I am so motivated to doing this to mine! On Mother’s Day my son and daughter in love gifted me with gardening tools since I had mentioned I desired to give the outside the kind of lift you demonstrated! So now I am ready to go 😊😊😊🧤👒❣️

It’s definitely not repetitive and boring. It’s nice to see things what a difference it makes when you tidy up and have everything in its place.

Thanks for inspiring all of us and sharing this video of the process. Your cheerful attitude and ideas inspired me to clean up my front porch too! My daughter even helped me wash all the first floor windows for Mother’s Day! Hope you had a Happy smothers Day!

Thank you for sharing! I haven’t done anything outside as of yet. I was feeling a little depressed about it. However, this has inspired me. I have pots on my back deck that really need some love. Now they will get it!

Georgia pollen is crippling! I’ve been sick and shut in since we moved here in October 🤧. Very different from the Midwest, lol!

We get tons of pollen up north too lol. I’m in NJ and every morning it’s tons on everything

The yellow greenery in your pot is lysimachia aka Goldilocks creeping Jenny, part of the Loosestrife classification

  18. Ej Chan on May 1, 2022 at 8:06 pm

Nice job, very pretty, love what you did, and I subscribed too. I love your magnolia wreath, where did you get it?

  19. Rachael Carr on May 1, 2022 at 8:06 pm

We’ve had lavender in our front yard for 2 years now. It’s the ONLY plant I haven’t killed. I believe they love full sun and we live in Texas. They are beautiful. Bees love them! They also like well drained soil.

  20. Carolyn Knisely on May 1, 2022 at 8:07 pm

Up north has pollen too, LOTS!! We just don’t get it until May and June. Now that I live in SC, I’m glad we get it early and over with.

  21. Nancy Campbell on May 1, 2022 at 8:09 pm

We have been working on our veggie garden and raised beds. The fruit trees are full and my roses are starting to bloom. This helped make the shut in tolerable. I won’t give up my gardens…;-)

  30. Amy Hoff on May 1, 2022 at 8:19 pm

  33. Rebecca Ryan on May 1, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Hi Amy I’m new to your channel and really enjoyed your video. Both the front and back porches look cozy and welcoming. I’m in the Midwest and we get pollen too. I really liked your background music and was wondering if you could list the songs that you played. I think the right music always makes a video better.

  34. Suzanne Reed on May 1, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Loved your classy porch refresh! Yes, lavender will not survive indoors. It needs lots of direct sunlight to thrive. Another important thing is to not over-water them. They need consistent water (especially when they are young and small), but they don’t like to "have their feet wet" all the time. Allow the soil to dry out a bit in between waterings, and you should be golden! Some fertilizer every other week during spring and summer will help boost blooms. Good luck!

  35. Paula C on May 1, 2022 at 8:28 pm

The front porch was great… I don’t want to knock you …because sometimes results or outcomes are what matters … but with the patio/ deck you seemed that you were going around in circles with that one

  36. Mary West on May 1, 2022 at 8:29 pm

yes down here we get several types of pollen, flowers, then flowering trees then pine trees and oak i wait till last of may to wash and hose down…i did my back last week and new flowers in front as well. made my heart lift.

Lavender and Rosemary are 2 plants perfect for rock gardens…so….sandy, rocky soil and dont over water. If they start to wilt, like they want water. It’s not so…too much water.
Ferns like to be moist, not wet with indirect sun
AND, they dont like to be touched. The oils in our hands can kill then

  40. Gema Lafleur on May 1, 2022 at 8:34 pm

Lavender likes rocky dry soil and full sun. Putting some rocks in the bottom of the pot will help and jus only water when it dries out after you put your finger an inch down into the soil.

  41. Martha Hoffmann on May 1, 2022 at 8:37 pm

Hi Amy love your videos. Keep Lavender in the ground, where there is lots of sun. Only buy Lavender Angustifolia. Check in the store for good combination soil and add some nutrients during the summer months. During hot season water them daily but don’t drown them. I am not sure what type of weather you have the rest of the year. If its cold no watering in autumn or winter is needed. They tolerate dry periods in summer.
Always cut them down in early autumn to about 5-6 inches from the ground. Lavender needs good drainage and make sure not to allow wood to grow. I love these plants and they are very easy. They don’t make it inside and don’t like to stay in pots. Try my method and you will not only like them in summer but will use the stems and flowers in winter for beautiful arrangements and closet satchets. Thank you for your very useful ideas. I also have a porch and love it all year round.. I like your blower, what brand is it? I have already subscribed. Regards from an American watching from Germany 😊
