Fellow youtuber here, great video! Where are you filming at? I’m in AZ! Let’s do an overnighter video!

  6. Chris Calby on October 7, 2022 at 7:18 am

Nice vid. Just my $0.02 here but, put your seasoning on the meat of the fish rather than the skin (maybe even before you throw it in the pan). Great content, glad the YouTube algorithm steered me towards you.

Amigo, those knorr sides are really good, I like both the rice and noodle dishes. I haven’t tried the butter and herb flavor but now I think I will, you made it look really good

  18. Joey M on October 7, 2022 at 7:35 am

I’m late to finding you. Literally looked up to see if my dad was lying about cat tails being an insect repellant from when I was a kid because I saw some fishing. Great content can’t wait to watch your survival stuff. I’m obsessed with that type of content

  19. OL 2016 on October 7, 2022 at 7:36 am

    Where are you located?

  20. Casey Simpson on October 7, 2022 at 7:36 am

Good to see that you recovered. I love simple camps. Most of my friends now rely on Giant RV’s.

  22. MrGabrielJude on October 7, 2022 at 7:37 am

So for next time depending on if you’ve gotten a better recipe since this vid, some med/high heat, oil, season the salmon how you like it, go skin side down first, watch it then when you see the fat start to turn white and the skin lookin crispy at the bottom, flip it to meat side for several minutes watching closely esp cuz it’s fire. Cooking salmon filet with skin on should not take longer than 12 minutes overall
When it looks delicious it’s time to plate.

  23. Wilderness Hermit on October 7, 2022 at 7:38 am

Should of only cooked it skin side down first. That way you wouldn’t of overcooked the meat when you flipped it over.

  24. Herosade on October 7, 2022 at 7:38 am

You look like the bad guy at the end of sacario

  31. Rob on October 7, 2022 at 7:48 am

  32. Jack Coffey on October 7, 2022 at 7:49 am

What about scorpions and snakes getting on you in your sleep

  33. Fcbarca7 on October 7, 2022 at 7:49 am

I’ll admit I never been to the desert and I only heard stories but heard there’s a lot of scorpions and snakes was wondering if it concerns you

  34. Drew Collins on October 7, 2022 at 7:50 am

Get yourself a brute force sandbag or a kettle bell. Take it with you so there’s no excuse to not hit the gym. I’m an OTR truck driver and that’s what I use

  35. Jack Coffey on October 7, 2022 at 7:51 am

Are you native American if so what tribe

  36. Thomas Shell on October 7, 2022 at 7:52 am

Hey on tent stakes get 3/8” rebar to make your own. They hold so much better.

  37. P Wesley on October 7, 2022 at 7:57 am

Like the video. One thing I learned growing up in Colorado. If you remove your shoes for sleeping, place a sack or pair of over the tops of the shoes/ boots to keep anything from crawling inside while you’re asleep. Spiders, scorpions, snakes etc.

  38. Bobcat Wolfenstein on October 7, 2022 at 7:58 am

Looks like West Texas, near where I live

  39. Nicholas Barnett on October 7, 2022 at 7:59 am

I love how realistic these videos feel about what camping is really like. So much over polished bushcraft out there and these feel like getting back to the roots of it like those old DC videos.

  40. DeathValleyWarthog on October 7, 2022 at 8:00 am

isn’t it supposed to be cooked on the skin side and put the spices on the actual meat? not the impermeable skin that you don’t eat anyway? And you’re cutting the avocado bye PUSHING the blade instead of pulling? Wow. You’re very original, I’ll give you that.

  41. Modern Prepper on October 7, 2022 at 8:00 am

You can glue or duct tape those mylar blankets to the inside of your tarp. It will help keep you warm at night by radiating your body heat back downward at you.

  42. Triple L on October 7, 2022 at 8:01 am

Great video man. Keep doing more videos like this.

Brother I love your video style! Man you are living large sir!

  50. Le Roy on October 7, 2022 at 8:08 am

As always , I live in New Mexico and so much appreciate any video about desert camping and living. It’s nothing like the wood wenners that have everything at thier feet , this is hard living , hard land and survival. We don’t have a nature mini mart around every corner. So much thank Junkyard Fox.
