I live in Ontario near Toronto and would like to build stealth minivan camper. If by luck you’re reading this and want to give me a good deal on a minivan, reply.
The difference between homey and homely just between one side of the border and the other… South of the border homely is plain and unattractive.
Thanks everyone for watching!!! I’m the filmmaker behind this video, and I recently transitioned to homesteading after 9 months of vanlife. I am filming daily videos of restoring the century old farmhouse and our journey to becoming self-sufficient. If the journey after vanlife sounds interesting to you check the link out below!

I enjoy rewatching your earlier interviews as now the cost of living is even worse. When your interviewees mention the lack of heating, chilled food, washing etc…you have ppl in "sticks-n-bricks" who can’t even afford those options now. Some of these vans are probably more comfortable than an apartment.
Any safety tips on city stealth sleeping?
I sure would like to know how she got her windows to work. I have a 2001 Honda odyssey too, and all of a sudden my windows quit working except for the driver side. I tried contacting her but the link doesn’t work. Anyone have ideas how to fix them?
get some milk crates to raise your bed theyre free in some places and light not to heavy for your van
I find it interesting that Iβm my neck of the woods if you call something βhomelyβ it means ugly. So I wonder what calling something homey means over there. Lol

I find it dangerous all those stuff that not nailed. It would just fly within the van should you have an accident.
Who cares what people think. People suck
Do you feel safe at night? Ever get hassled on where you park?
Get a thermos for hot water. For coffee and hot chocolate. You can get hot water from 711 or any convenience store that has coffee.
She sounds british
Nice video. I love that you are happy doing what you do, yet tell the truth about the realities of discomfort. Some channels tout mobile living as all butterflies & roses and this causes grief for those who jump into it w/o considering fully the ramifications. One person who I remember as being deeply depressed after jumping into the lifestyle, thought he’d have comrade/friendships on the road, only to discover he was isolated & lonely. I think the best approach is to take it slow, go on weekend then week long trips, down size in your home to one or two rooms, try to eliminate using a bathroom for a while. See how the realities of minimalism fits before jumping in too quickly. Thanks for your feedback & being real ; )

i bet you you have more money than people renting paying OUTRAGEOUS bills for something that will never be yours ,!! the only benefit to ENSLAVE for the rest of you life with 2 jobs, great brave decision!!
I used to get a dehumidifier bag from Home Depot, just hang on hook and the crystals turn into water when it is full toss it out. Get unscented it wonβt be overbearing.

I bought a 4.5βx6/7βx 1.5β mini charger after someone charged my car w/ it at a campground/ hot springs I was staying at, I had been listening to my music the night b4 & forgot to turn the key completely off b4 sleep π this charger (Amazon) has 2 USB ports, one jumper cable port, & one port to charge it usb while Iβm driving. π
This site is amazing.
To have a tail tent, to get more space in bad weather
just get a kettle and a portable battery! Hot Chocolate in 2 mins
Like your setup. Is the third chair attached or freestanding? Will adopt that idea.
$900 for a reliable van is pretty difficult, good for her
@Kate _ your lifestyle is ALL I dreaming on in my life πββοΈ hopelly I can get β€ from preaty women like you π and bought me vanlife world
This chick is too real….canβt believe there ainβt a friend that would spend a weekend helpβn her tightening that thing up…really , a couple plastic milk crates, a piece of ply wood, some zip ties, a wood pallet or two & maybe 3 of 4 thrift store visits…..could be 1000% upgrade…love her AK SENT & ATTIDUDE.
Enjoy your journey. Stay safe. From Texas.
Buy a cheap metal bed frame and some plastic totes, baskets, crates, backpacks whatever and you have an instant bed and storage.
You can buy electric cups to plug in to your 12v charger which would heat up water for you to make hot drinks
Was good to see a fellow Brit living in and enjoying Vancouver, one of my favourite cities. Courageous girl to do it all solo!
I think you are just a lazy girl.
Get a Chinese diesel heater
I like how she saved all her seats for resale value, easy no build too
It doesn’t look like you have anything in the van lol . Good thing is it wouldn’t take long to roll everything up & back to normal.
Is that a vodka in the cooler?
Will be much better without the back seats. It’s easy to put the seats back in if you want to sell it later just by keeping the seats in storage or someone’s garage until you sell it. Installing the seats back in the van is a piece of cake.
I could understand where you park the car during the road trip. However, when you move to Vancouver, you will need a space to park on the city….is not it ?
Your crazy.
Really enjoyed this video but when you asked her about challenges, the things that she listed seemed to me were things that she could have easy fixes for. Lots of people have portable toilets in their minivan and cook in their minivan.
I wonder what she’s up to now:)
Buddy heaters are killers. Be wary. Only use with windows cracked.
I appreciate so much her honesty about the things that suck and the things that you can adjust
Cannot find kate’s instagram page, kindly help.
How about living in a box truck those have huge boxes in the back big enough to be a bedroom size
Go find Chrome in Vancouver area
Like her accent though
Your so beautiful I π you sweetheart
Iβm getting a 2001 Odysee to cut cost and save money as Iβm working remotely due to covid . Thanks for posting
Roll your clothes up.
